Ghost Kids

Well I actually have two stories to tell, both when I was little and told to me by my mom.  But one I remember because I was part of it.

The first story I am telling was told by my mom and dad. When I was little like two years old, my parents were raising two boys that I consider brothers even though they were never blood. We lived in this house in Baltimore, Maryland. One night after putting the three of us to bed, my mom and dad were sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee. Dad had to be at work in a few hours or something like that.  Anyways they were sitting at the table and the three of us were in bed, when mom starting hearing someone say, “Aunt Teen Help me,” mom right away thought one of the kids were awake. Yes I called my mom something other then mom due to what my two brothers …

Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 11

Have you read the previous parts of this story? Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 1

My elder sister moved into a house only 10 minutes from my Mum and I used to go there and baby-sit her new baby daughter – but now I was an adult and a little more educated about what I had experienced growing up.

My elder sister had joked she thought she had a ghost in her house as well and given our history we had a good laugh….was there no escape?

I can admit I was privy to it once myself – I was in her main bedroom watching TV and it was night and I knew my sister was due home any moment.

I clearly heard the back door open and close and the floor boards creak under the body weight of someone crossing from the backdoor – the kitchen and across the house to the main bedroom where I was.

Instinctively …

The Door Opened by Itself

In 2007, when I was turning 11, I had a sleepover with my closest friends. It started off great, at 5:30 PM. We played party games, air hockey, ping-pong, and ate a delicious dinner that my dad home-cooked for us. Later that evening, at around 8:30-ish, I asked my friends if they wanted to turn off the hallway lights and try to find a ghost that night. I told them I was curious because that exact date was 50 years after the night someone died in our house. I think I heard that the person who died was a girl, about my age. Some of them said yes, but about three out of five of the girls said no.

I took the two that said they’d watch out with me into my bedroom to get some pillows, blankets, and a flashlight. Our hallway is quite long, so we put our pillows and blankets around the middle by my brothers bedroom …

My Strange Dream

Hi everybody, I would like to tell you now what was happened with me. I live now in my grandmother’s house who passed away in 1985. She has died in her bedroom, when I married I also occupied the same bedroom as it was the largest room in the house.

Sunday on 6/12/2009, I finished my work and came back home, it was about 2 o’clock. I was so tired so I went directly to my bed. I dreamed with my grandmother, where she was sitting on the couch with my young son Amro (12 years). She bought a new bag for him and was very happy to talk to him. We were ready to travel but she begged me to leave my son, Amro, with her and I agreed.

When I awoke I could remember all the dream and it was very clear. I looked at my watch, it was 4 o’clock after noon. I was wondering as it …

Haunted Home in Ohio Part 2

If you havent already read the first part of this story you can find it here – Haunted Home in Ohio

We been playing it all out in our minds about what to write about next and I think the footsteps in the snow would be a great place to start.

Not long after my great grandfathers death in the late 1980′s my grandparents decided it was time to start going out with their friends to have a little fun to take their minds off things for just a short while. I was left to be in charge of my younger sister we never liked being home alone but we didn’t have a choice in that matter.

I remember it as if it just happened yesterday it was still daylight outside and my sister and I were in the living room watching music videos with the sound turned up as high as it would go on the only cable television …

Do Babies See Ghosts?

In the fall of 2003, I was pregnant with my second child. My daughter being 20 months old had really started to talk and repeat herself a lot recently. So when she started saying, “hi Bobby… hi Bobby… hi Bobby,” while walking around the house we didn’t think it was weird even though no one in our immediate family has this name.

My husband worked long hours so when he came home we ate dinner and put our daughter to bed and I talked him into watching a late night movie. We lived in a tiny little two bedroom apartment sort of in a bad neighborhood but we were really proud of how we had fixed it up. We had just started the movie when we heard what sounded like to me a loud crash. Us living in this not so great neighborhood, my immediate fear was someone was breaking in. We did live on the first also.

We obviously …

We Teased the Devil and Crashed Our Car

We teased the Devil and our car crashed in Duluth, Minnesota.

My stepfather Richard worked as a motel clerk in Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth was a small town and was about 50 miles south of the Canadian border. The year was 1972 and I was 7 years old and my brother Sean was 5 years old. That winter was especially brutally cold.

The December temperature reached a negative sixty degrees. My stepfather tried to make more money working delivering newspapers from his blue Rambler to feed our small family of four. My mother would stay at home in our little apartment to stay warm. The rooms were always slightly chilly. But nothing compared to the bitter cold that was outside that apartment.  No one went outside. It was early Saturday morning and I could look out the window and see smoke coming from all the old buildings trying to produce heat. My mother told us to go with Richard my stepfather …

Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 10

Have you read the previous parts of this story? Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 1

Having ‘grown up haunted’ with the full spectrum of experiences; full bodied apparitions, EVPs, apports, residual and seemingly intelligent hauntings, as a family we concede we are probably a little ‘sensitive’.

As a teenager I found I did have a receptive audience for my stories amongst my peers but as a result I don’t recall too many ‘sleep overs’ at my house. One friend who did decide she would sleep over had an experience I never witnessed and I only have her word for it. She was going to be sleeping in my bedroom with me, first on the right along the hall.

We were watching TV, when she got up to go to the toilet, first on the left along the hall and to hear her tell it every door in the hall (6 in total) were all wide open when she walked …

Sensitive

It all started when I was little. I remember when I was about three or four. We lived in a little trailer in Bellingham, Wa. Now you may thing ‘the kids young, she’s scared of the dark’ but it was more then that. I remember I hated the hallway at night. I always had this feeling of being watched. Or when I had to walk down it this feeling of just impending doom would lurk over me.

When I was six we moved from that trailer up to Anchorage Alaska. We had moved into The Spenard Motel. Mother checked us in and we stayed in room 27. A year passed, my grandma slept in the front room and me and my mom slept in the back. My mom worked graveyard shifts so that would leave me in the room by myself. At two thirty in the morning one night. I woke up, for no reason. I turned on the TV …

I Need Out of this Haunted House!

Get me out of here!

Seriously people. I need to move… Now. As soon as I can find a buyer, I am gone. This house is nuts.  I honestly fear for my life at this point. I moved in 6 months ago. I’m a musician, and fell in love with the place, not only because it was gorgeous, but because it had been built with a musician in mind. It had this awesome Great Room with high-ceilings and bare walls. The acoustics were so good in this room.  Every instrument played here sounded awesome bouncing around, amplified and echoing off the walls.  I had my piano put in this room, for obvious reasons. The thing I liked best was that just next to that room was a separate little soundproofed room. This was great as I am principally a drummer, and my drums fit nicely in there. I figured this way I wouldn’t have to worry about bothering neighbors or …

Haunted House Ghost or Demon?

Okay, so here’s my quite terrifying story. When I was younger and in High School me and a couple of friends decided it would be a great idea to do a Ouija Board, of course I know now there are things you should just not play about with.

We discovered a man, who told us he used to live in this house, he seemed friendly enough, he was answering our questions and didn’t seem to be upset or angry that we had contacted him. When we had finished talking to him we said our goodbyes.

After a couple of days things started to happen, I was alone one night, downstairs, watching the television and there was like a really deep, manly groan next to me. I was obviously spooked, but I just checked the window to make sure no one was stood there messing about. Then I went back to watching the television, on edge of course. Around an hour …

Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 9

Have you read the previous parts of this story? Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 1

Growing up with a traditional haunting, poltergeist activity, Ouija Boards (yes we had one, but in the 60s and 70′s we were very naive about their inherent dangers) and EVPs, you can imagine we were fairly open minded but we had strange events in our family even before my father died… in fact before I was even thought of.

Firstly you must understand there is a 12/13 year age gap between my older sisters and myself hence why I was left out of a lot of things growing up. The event that unfolded involved my middle sister and the concept of reincarnation.

In 1957 my Dad was home from Korea and not long discharged from the army and we were getting used to having him home full time as a civilian. I was just a twinkle in his eye as Mum would later tell …
