It all started when I was little. I remember when I was about three or four. We lived in a little trailer in Bellingham, Wa. Now you may thing ‘the kids young, she’s scared of the dark’ but it was more then that. I remember I hated the hallway at night. I always had this feeling of being watched. Or when I had to walk down it this feeling of just impending doom would lurk over me.
When I was six we moved from that trailer up to Anchorage Alaska. We had moved into The Spenard Motel. Mother checked us in and we stayed in room 27. A year passed, my grandma slept in the front room and me and my mom slept in the back. My mom worked graveyard shifts so that would leave me in the room by myself. At two thirty in the morning one night. I woke up, for no reason. I turned on the TV and watched cartoons till I was ready to fall back asleep. Soon I got this overbearing feeling of being watched. I looked into the doorway and there were two bright red eyes staring into my room! I curled up under the covers and stayed up the rest of the night.
Down the road from the motel there was a house, it was all boarded up and what not. The electricity in that place had been shut off for years and no one lived in it. I would always get the shivers when we passed it. I remember walking home one day and there was a light up in the house. No one knew why. A few years later it was demolished.
Once again my mother found work in the motel front desk and I was finally old enough that I could help her. We were sitting watching TV waiting for her shift to be over when the ten key, which was across the room started to go off. We tweaked out and she ran over there and unplugged it. A few minutes later it started to go off again! It continued this for awhile until it finally stopped. You could always hear bangs and thumps coming from the back room which the own had converted to a playroom for the kids. But I was the only one there and refused to play there myself.
Time passed and I’m eighteen now. I still have some experiences here or there, but none as notable as these.
