Fetimple’s House

Well, I don’t feel comfortable giving out real information, so I’m just going to say my name is Ann and I’m 15 years old. I don’t know if all you people that read this are going to believe me, but I have a story to tell.

It all started when me and my friend were talking about scary ghost stories at… (well, we will say at my friend Felipe’s house). Well were sharing stories, about how the house we were in was haunted.

I didn’t believe, because well I rather not believe that the house that I am in is haunted. So to be all brave and stuff I went to bathroom at the other side of the house (which was a BIG mistake). Oh he had a really really big house cause his dad was insanely rich he was some kind of lawyer for the celebrities I think.

Well I went to the bathroom, but I felt so sad, …

Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 8 EVPs

Have you read the previous parts of this story? Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 1

In the late 70′s no-one even knew what an EVP was. While I have since studied and read up on the paranormal in an attempt to understand what my family and I went through growing up – we did once manage to unintentionally capture a rather impressive EVP.

Only My Mum and I were in the house – my new step-dad was away working. My mum who had been an extremely qualified ex trauma nurse and matron had done the ‘done thing’ in the 50′s and given up work when she married, as was the done thing in those days. Now in the liberated 70′s she was throwing herself back into study as a psychologist (maybe the ghost had driven us crazy and we needed one in the family?) and she had to practice a speech she had to give to her lecturers. Mum …

Ghost Story of Pakistan

These days many news are coming from Pakistan most of these are really very tragic. Pakistan is not a  country which the world sees on media. It is an amazing country with loving people and a variety of terrain. It has it’s share of ghost stories no less than its  share of militancy and proxy wars and is has  thousands of years old civilizations of Indus Valley.

Coming back to the top I have a few stories to share. My friend who is an Army officer says that there  were Bengali cadets in Pakistan Military academy doing training there once. They were being ragged (punishment  through exercise) by the senior cadet on the roof of a building. They collectively threw the  sergeant from the roof killing him, think they still remember 1971 after that. Since they were not Pakistanis they were the most beneficiary of the creation of Bangladesh. Since they couldn’t be tried in Pakistan being foreign students only …

Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 7

Have you read the previous parts of this story? Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 1

While the “big” and exciting events of growing up in a haunted house always make for the good stories, not everything was intense and amazing… the little things often made to just remind us ‘he’ was still around.

Mum was doing the laundry and going through all the bedrooms and tossing the dirty laundry into the hall where she could scoop it up and take it to the laundry in one trip. Mum noted a number of items; her navy slacks – my new Mickey mouse undies (very important to a 5 year old in the 60′s!) and my sister’s brand new ‘hippy’ shirt. Mum remembers throwing them into the hallway and even them flying through the air in her peripheral vision. It wasn’t until later when she was pegging the clothes on the line she realized all 3 items were missing. Being a …

Jamie the Friendly Ghost?

After finishing my degree and qualifying as a nurse I decided to get my own flat, my friend and I had wanted to get a flat for a while but while flat hunting we realized that all the flats we wanted were way out of our price range. I really didn’t want to move back in with my parents, I wanted independency as we were beginning to loose hope my friend found a flat for rent in the area we wanted way under the prices we had been seeing for the last few months. We got it. We didn’t even go and see it we got it, a flat that cheap would go in a flash we had to get in there fast.

The flat was freezing and damp, it needed a lot of work, we immediately kicked ourselves about rushing into this flat without really considering it properly. It was a hard few months but after a year of …

Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 6

Have you read the previous parts of this story? Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 1

One of the standards of growing up in a haunted house in the 60′s and 70′s before a lot of literature was available on the paranormal, meant we were left struggle with dealing with a haunting mostly on our own. My mother told me she did go to the local church one time in the 60′s when my Pop’s ghost was rather busy and was told she just needed to pray more. She didn’t need to exactly get rid of him, just understand what was going on and no-one seemed to be able to help.

Of course coming to terms with a full bodied apparition that appeared on a regular basis was different to a “poltergeist” and we didn’t even know the word at the time – but we had one of those as well.

Being a recently widowed mum to two teenage girls …

The Demon Side of my Brother

In the summer of 2005, when I was 9 years old, I was playing on the beach in Oregon with my brother, Thomas. He was almost 7 years old at the time. I was building sand castles and he was trying to find sea-shells. He ran up to me, showing me the cool shells. He wanted me to know if they were good enough. I asked him what they had to be good enough for. He said he was going to do something with them later. I told him they were really cool. And with that, he walked back to where he was finding shells and kept looking. And I went back to building sand castles.

Later that day, our mom and dad had told us that it was time for us to get back in the car to go to the motel we were going to be staying at. Once we got in the car, I looked over at …

I am 23 and have recently married my childhood sweetheart Glen. We are blissfully happy and have got our own place a small apartment, however we are having some trouble with unexplainable happenings going on. I hope anyone reading this will be able to help us try and get what we think is a spirit over to the other side and out of our apartment. Its getting scary, we wonder if its a good spirit or not. I am going to list things that have happened and hopefully you guys can help us, thanks.

Firstly about a week into moving in to our apartment we found things were moving around when we were sleeping, our keys that we left on the kitchen counter would be on the floor some cupboards would be open,we thought we had rats to begin with, but there was no evidence for this like …

Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 5

Have you read the previous parts of this story? Growing up Haunted in Sydney Part 1

Knowing I was growing up in a haunted house in an ‘ ordinary ‘ suburb in an ‘ ordinary ‘ looking house, became the family secret. Most families have their ‘ skeletons in the closet ‘, unfortunately ours walked around…..literally.

The house was a 50′s style bungalow my Dad had financed after coming back from Korea – he and my grandfather both died suddenly in 1967. We often saw my grandfather’s ghost, as did friends and neighbours which did make for some awkward explanations, but much to my personal disappointment no-one ever saw my father.

As a sudden single mum with 3 young daughters and strapped for income my mother took in a boarder from the country who was studying at a local University. One day as the boarder was sitting in the lounge, she saw what she would later describe as an elderly …

Haunted Catacombs of Paris

I’m sure everyone here has heard of the Catacombs of Paris. It is listed as one of the top 10 most haunted places in the world!

A brief history of the Catacombs:

The official name of the Catacombs is l’ossuaire municipal, the cemetery covers a small section of underground tunnels making up the “les carrières de Paris ( ” The quarries of Paris ” ) the entire tunnel is referred to as ” The Catacombs “. Since the Roman times Paris buried its dead on the outskirts of the city. The rise of Christianity brought a change about the practice of burying the faithful dead in consecrated grounds and in adjoining churches.

With the city’s expansion in the 10th century, there were many cemeteries however with the population rise in Paris the cemeteries became overcrowded and expansion was not possible. At this time only the most wealthy could afford church burials, which in the 12th century led to the opening …

Sleep Paralysis Experiences in the Land of Enchantment

Hello all… My name is Austin, I’m 29 years old and I live in the “Land of Enchantment” (Google it if you don’t know). The Native American culture here is huge and I have a deep respect for the spirituality that many tribes bring. Why this relates you will see as you read further in.

I have had two experiences in my life. They were both very long ago and I have only retold them a handful of times. What I absolutely remember without a doubt is that it was the scariest experience of my life (I was inches away from being shot in the head in a drive-by shooting when I was 17 and that pales in comparison) So here it goes…

The first was when I was around 8 years old. I was sleeping in bed with my mom as I often did. I woke up in a sweat because I had too many covers on me and …

Family Ghosts

Alright some of this stuff happened to me and some of it happened to very close family members, and I can assure you that all of it is true.

My cousin Kevin died when he was 22 in a car crash, and on the night of his funeral my brother Arnett and my mom were up at my aunts house (which was Kevin’s mom) and they were sitting at the kitchen table and there was a picture of Kevin and his girlfriend in the middle of the table facing the opposite direction of them and then the picture swung all the way around and faced them for a moment then swung back around to its original place.

Me and my mom were sitting in the living room one night, and we live in my grandmas old house, she’s dead now. And my dads shoes were sitting in front of the door and they were just slung off, you know, not …
