My name is Trisha and I am 19 years old. I have started having sleep paralysis in the last month. These experiences scare the living crap out of me. I feel like I can’t even explain the kind of fear I felt in the two experiences I have had with this so far.
Experience 1:
This happened around 1:00 pm when I decided to take a nap. I was laying on my stomach. My roommate was still in the room and I could hear her moving around when I suddenly could see this shadowy figure walk over to me and hug me from behind which caused a pressure like feeling on my back. My eyes weren’t open but I could still see everything in my room and this figure. When it started hugging me I instantly couldn’t move or speak. I then heard my room mate open the door and leave. Right after this the figure laid down on my back and I could feel the pressure on my whole body. Its hands started running down my sides stopping at my hips where it started moving my body. I was trying to scream out for help but I couldn’t. It slowly moved my body off of the bed and on to the floor. It then proceeded to drag me across the room until I hit the wall under my desk where the chairs usually go. I couldn’t move or speak but I could feel my body dragging across the ground. I then gained my movement back and stood up.
I ran out side of my dorm room but it was different because the hall way turned out to be never ending. I knew I was dreaming and I started ripping and pulling at my hair to try and wake my self up. I tried screaming as loud as I could but nothing came out. I then felt a numbness come over me. I could move my fingers but I couldn’t feel anything. I then struggled to come out of my sleep. it was like a pulling in and out. when I finally woke up I didn’t feel rested but extremely exhausted. I have never been so scared in my life and it eve brought me to tears.
Experience 2:
About three weeks later on march 10 at about 4:00 am it happened again. I could see my self sleeping on my bed in my room but I was not in my body. I was suddenly pulled back into my body and I heard a women whisper into my ear “Let her in” and then almost instantly I was put into a paralysis. this time I felt like I was tied down and a shadow that looked like a hand form around my neck and started choking me. I started having a really hard time trying to breath. I screamed in my head “Jesus” and calling out for help. After this it went away as fast as it came on but as I reached to turn on my lamp my lamp wouldn’t turn on. I knew I still wasn’t awake and this rage came over me and broke the lamps light bulb in my hand and then chucked my lamp across my room. I ran out of my room to my parents but the wouldn’t wake up. I started banging on walls and doors and trying to scream so they would wake up and then I suddenly woke up for real and I turned on my lamp. I was so scared I was almost in a shocked state. I then looked at my left arm and there where these red marks as if I was actually tied down by something. I instantly started crying I was so scared.
This is affecting me so much. I won’t go to sleep unless I’m so exhausted I can’t help it because I’m so scared of this happening to me again. I really don’t know what to do. if anyone can give me advice on how to stop this or if you’ve had this happen to you please tell me.

Something very simular happened to me not so long ago. I was also laying on my stomack. Drifting in and out of sleep. I could hear my husband down stairs making coffee. When I saw a black cloaked figure come into my bedroom. Like you my eyes were also closed but I could see my entire bedroom. He came up behind me and it felt like he jumped into my body at that moment I became fully awake but could not move my body. I struggled for a few moments before I was able regain control. I felt srange all day
This happens 2 me almost evry night. It runs in my family. However do not be afraid this is what the evil spirit wants. Just put yuor trust in Jesus and let him no before you fall asleep you are not afraid. However it can be extremely frightining! Put holy water in the 4 corners of your room and bed! In my heritage (greek) it means some1 is sitting on you that of an evil nature. I no what you mean by waking up exhausted. I often dream that I crawl and whisper to get my mother ! You can not wakeup which makes it worse. Challenge it next time tell them you are not afraid becuase you are a child of Jesus. Do not by intimatted by its presence.

hey i have the same problems except i dont see anything i just cant breath or move it feels as if im dying i also believe its evil sprits but i cried out the blood of jesus and it stop i wasnt scared but now i am how do i go by getting holy water.

I had so many experiences just like that in my house. I was scared to close my eyes, but you need to do is to go to church pray a lot. One time i could’nt move and i was so scared, so what i did was to pray the lords prayer, i then felt that the numbness went away. I pray every night now, i sleep good now. I sometimes wake up at night because i feel it will come back, but it never it because my sister said do not believe in it and think of god and pray and that is what i did.
I’ve had experiences like yours when I was a teenager, it was terrifying, specially because that entity that came to me almost every night was not only taking my energy but was also sexually molesting me. I could feel its hands touching my body. All the way from my face to my feet. It was an agonizing feeling like that when you get an electric shock but multiply this by 100 times. I couldn’t breath, move,or speak, and the terrible thing was that only my eyes were able to move.
I told my mother about this, she’s had this experience before. She said that if you just concentrate on moving at least one finger it will stop this entity from molesting you. She also told me to learn a prayer and just recite this in your head when this happens. I did as she advised and it helped me control it. I also found it helpful to sleep with my bedside lamp on or with some music, or even if you leave your TV on. I hope this helps.
This happened to me once, it was 11:31PM and my brother was playing playstation in my room. I was tired so I layed at my bed with my stomach faced down, I heard my bother shooting at the cops (in game) and then it stopped (like he paused the game or something?) I suddently felt 120 pound jump at my back leaving me breathless. I had my eyes closed I then opened them fast and I heard my bother said “did you heard me I said if you want the lights and the volume turned off” I was paralyzed and could not talk. After 1 munute I regained control and explained to my brother why I did not responde, he then said he felt something cold at his back when he told me that. It happened to me numerous time,first time it happened 8yrs earlier,beleive me i dont sleep alone after that
A similar experience happened to me like a year ago… I was layin in the bed on my back, my eyes were closed, but I could see my whole room & hear the television. It felt as if I was being lifted up by some force, and I saw this bright light. I was trying to wake myself up but there was something heavy that seemed to be holding me down
I have had those dream all my life. It is satan trying to put fear in you. I know you can’t talk but you need to fight with all that you have. Scream out Jesus!!! Call out to Jesus for help. For his name alone puts fear in satan. Jesus died for our sins you need to know that that is satan’s job to put fear in use so we won’t
call on Jesus. So we don’t believe that he died for our sins he died to bring us back to God. Before you go to bed pray to God for strength and protection. Pray that the holy spirt protects you while you sleep. Go throught our house with holy water start at your front door Pray while you do this. Tell satan that yourhouse is the house of the Lord’s and you serve him. The answer is prayer!!!!!!!! Ask God to send angles to guard you at night. Open up you bible read a verus or two before you go to bed. Ask God to come in to your life receive him and the holy spirit. And Ask him in his holy name Jesus Christ. God bless you!!!!
I dont know if what i have is similar to anyone but, the past 2 weeks when im about to fall asleep i kind of wake up half asleepbut i am completly paralysd and i cant speak or open my eyes completly i feel like a heavy weight on top of me. I stay there for couple min then after trying so hard to wake up i finally do. I act like its a dream and fall back to sleep. but its been happening too many times, im about to get holly water tho =) hopefully this works im tiered of this.
I do it alot, and even though your not asleep your body is. but your spirit is awake, I posted one of my experiences on here and when I sat up my son was on the computer and I looked right at him and could see everything just as I could before but he said my eyes were closed even though i was looking right at him. my mom does it too, it’s called being in the spirit because something evil is trying to attack you while you sleep but your spirit lets your mind know to fight it so your still aware. I don’t know how religious you are and I know I’m not as religious as what I should be but if I don’t call out jesus’s name I can’t get it to stop sometimes.

wow i never told this to no one but it only happen once i remember i was a teenager it was 12 mid night i was sitting by the phone i decide to lay on the floor all of a sudden i couldn’t move, only my eyes my head was turned to my right and i know i was wide awake this lasted for a couple of minutes all just felt a numbness all over my body and like if it was heavy then it went away i was not scared but was kinda wondering what happen. Also when i was younger i was sleeping i woke up in the middle of the night and saw a child wearing a red with white stripe shirt praying besides my bed i couldn’t see his face because they were between his arms. i would rub my eyes and it was there i did that 3 -4 times and then i literally saw it vanish, but again i was not scared. so i dont know what all this meant! !
i just had this tonight unfortunatly it wasnt the first time for me,, it first started happening to me me when i got my first place on my own, i fell asleep and in my dream i would be having like a normal one and then suddenly i felt completly numb i couldnt hear i couldnt speak i would open my eyes in the state and could see around me as much as i could and like you it felt like something was on me too,, come to find out 2 days later that the guy who lived next to my ( was an elderly man) had a heart attack or something and died sitting in his pc chair the same night it first happened to me but when i moved ( 1500 miles away) it stopped for about 8 months, then it started agian happned to me 3 more times same scenario with a few differences, then it stopped for about 3 years, untill tonight, now im married and have kids and this time the shadow u couldnt really see approached me ( in my dreamstate) as my wife, acting like she was scared and was trying to be with me and when she laid on top of me in the dream that when the Paralysis started same ending cept this time i was on my stomach ( usually the back which i way i try not to sleep on my back) and it felt WAY more powerfull, i woke up screaming with clamy skin, i took my blood pressure and i was sitting at 268/134 with a 194 pulse rate, i dunno why this happens to me but im glad im not the only one,
That is really scary. I can’t offer anything regarding being touched in a way other than just what feels like pressure and definitely not being drug out of bed or being hurt.
I’ve fairly recently had a couple nights when I am sure I’ve woken up unable to move and was calling out to my husband, then screaming when he didn’t respond. Then what seemed like a loud sound of static and then it was over. My husband never heard me though he’s right next to me.
For some occasions of sleep paralysis, I’ve read that it can occur at the end of “astral traveling” if your body happens to wake up and “catches” your soul returning to your body. Some believe that all of our souls astral travel often during sleep. I certainly can’t prove it but can’t disprove it either.
i have had the same problem for years laying on my stomach and back it always happens but it does not seem to happen when i lye down on my side..maybe you should try that:)
I’ve had this problem since I was 6 or 7 years old but I learned how to avoid it. As soon as you start feeling the goosebumps that usually leed to this remind yourself to wake up. But if you dont then in that paralysis your in start praying to the angel Gabriel.
I sympathise with all of you who suffer from this, i myself have had this happen for too many years now. Mostly mine is the same entity and he started off by sitting on my bed intimidating me and watching me from the corner of his eyes, placing his face next to mine, i can describe him, he has taken to getting his kicks out of getting intimate with me, firstly this beast cuddles my back, the same scenario every time i get this, it makes my heart race cos iam so scared, i can hear my heart going ten to the dozen that i fear something bad may happen to me, its really scaring me, and please before anyone comments, iam not lonely, i do have a partner. Sometimes i cant breathe properly, i try to force my eyes open, sometimes i fall through the bed as if i was a piece of paper floating in the air and i can see the bed frame above me, then finally i force my eyes open.
Science constantly say it can explain it, but there are always parts it cant answer, i spoke to my doctor about it, she couldnt answer me and just looke blank.
It could be the first stage of astral projection
Like you I have had the same thing happen , I sleep on my side . it’s always about 3 am I feel like something heavy is laying on me I cant move or open my eyes believe me it scares the living hell out of me i pray and say repeat the our father in my head, the last time it happend to me my son heard me yell HELP ME HELP ME and saying the our father, he got scared then poof it stopped, when he was little and that happend I know nothing evil would ever come near a little angel so I would go and cuddle with him and I went to sleep, for days I was afraid to sleep at night it was it was AWFUL just pray and have faith it works for me good luck and god bless
hi guys srry my english bad but i want to tell u guys wat happ with me i dnt kno how to say it but im really scared last nite it was like…something or i can say some one hold me first and start pulling my body beside eachother like i can feel that time no pain at all but i was trying to wakeup my self but nothing was happing feel like stuck and that time i also knew its dream and i need to wakeup but couldnt my wife beside me trying to screaming actully i was screaming but no sound then riteaway my body started flying in room n try to move as much i can but sumthing hold my realy tight like someone controlling my body then i hit in wall n start dragging me all over room then my lamp hit on my head i screamed really hard bcos i knew its dream it cant happen in reality then my wife wake me up bcos she said i started screaming then she wake me up it was really diff dream like im confused never happ but from past im getting really diff kinda of dream like lions attacked on me in my house …then after few days snake attacked me …i dnt wat is this but seems like sumone done black magic on me these days soo angry, cranky, selfish, start screaming on smaller things, feel really tired ,do not want to do anything, ….if someone have something to say about this please think then let me kno if its black magic stuff or its just a dream ……
