One ordinary night, I had brushed my teeth, washed and dressed for bed. Nothing untoward as forewarning occurred, just your usual ritual preparation for sleep. Tucking myself comfortably and deliciously into a warm bed I read the usual three pages of a book prior to sleep. This book was about nothing of the paranormal. In fact it pertained to nothing of the negative therefore rendering the possibility of setting negative feelings as unlikely. My windows were partially opened (being a warm summer night) though the curtains were closed (street lights affected my ability to sleep). My father was in his office working away (time being around 10pm), my brother had retired to his bedroom at least an hour prior to myself and my mother was downstairs watching a movie.
I had set my book down, rolled onto my stomach (favorite sleeping position) and squished my face into the soft eiderdown pillow and started the process of sleeping. I am not sure what time it was but I was immediately awakened by the strange humming/buzzing sound in my ears. At first it sounded as though from a distance and continued to increase in volume until a raging roar seemed to be pouring into my head. At the same time a feeling of pressure as though a large metal plate was being placed upon me started at my feet and gradually encompassed my entire body. What put the cherry on the cake was the emotional feeling of utter terror and dread that washed over me again at the same time. As though something so hateful and horrid with no goodness to it was pushing me into my bed.
My eyes at this point were wide open and I was fully awake and still lying on my stomach so I could only see to the side of me. I could not even twitch a nerve I was so paralyzed. But something in me was fighting very hard against whatever this experience was. I am normally a very stubborn person and will go into “fight mode” if threatened. A survival tactic I seemed to be born with. My mind was reeling against this so called assault and eventually I found I could move my index fingers on both hands and with that I managed to shake myself rid of the pressure though the feeling of terror and the loud roaring did not diminish for another few seconds. At this point when feeling and noise disappeared I witnessed a vivid flash of light blue lightning. At that point I gasped loudly and sat up straight with a residual feeling of wrongness.
Now I did manage to go back to sleep but not before going out of my room to check on everyone and to find that only 30 minutes had passed since going to bed. Mum was still downstairs, dad was still typing snail pace in his office and no noise was coming from my brother’s room although his bedroom light was back on.
Breakfast time the following morning I was already downstairs getting ready for work when my brother came down looking a bit more disheveled than usual. He complained about a nightmare he had around 10:30 that night. About a loud noise and something evil in his room and about a flash of blue lightning. I don’t think I got to finish my breakfast and must have stared at my brother a bit scarily. He still to this day does not think it anything strange. Just a pure coincidence. I on the other hand had several more experiences similar to that night except there was no blue flash of lightning. It always is preceded by a buzzing noise that increases ’til it sounds as though something or someone is roaring in my head.

My apologies for not rendering my experience more sensational. But for me it was a nasty experience and I have suffered these events many times afterwards and will continue to do so. I am no christian nor an athiest as I cannot say aye or naye to the prescence of God. Yet things have happened to me that even a professor at a top UK university cannot explain away. Just remember that we are all individuals and our experiences will always be personal and more frightening or exciting or disconcerting compared to our neighbours.

I am also an agnostic and have had several bizarre experiences. I have had strange experiences with sleep paralysis, and also a weird experience with blue lightning. I will start with the first and most bizarre event. When I was around 7 or 8 I was lying on top of a bunk bed with my older brother at the bottom, and suddenly there were anywhere from 50 to over 100 multi colored “orbs” floating around in my room. I woke up my brother and asked if he saw what I was seeing, and he said he did. At some point a ball of light shot directly at my face, and a light blue flash lit up my window, although I don’t remember the order of those two events. I saw the light blue flash occur 2 times.
Also, last night I woke up completely paralysed. I was hullucinating (or not) an entity behind me telling me “this will only take a second” as he put a finger over each eye and caused a high pitched frequency to blare in my head. I have also woken up with the feeling of being poked and hearing someone telling me to wake up, and I have been woken to an eerie voice saying 2 words in what appeared to be a foreign language. I felt a strong sense of deja vu when I heard this and was greatly disturbed. I am not sure if this occured because I was half way between a dream state and reality, or if it was something more. As for the orbs, I wish I could say it was my imagination but my brother saw them also, and my younger brother claims to have seen them on a number of occasions as well. I had seen them a few other times that I can remember too, but generally no more than 3 at once, and strangely, as with my 2 brothers, always in my basement.

What you described was a demonic attack. The feeling of hate and horror that filled you came from the demon(s) that was attacking you. Demons are evil, hateful, accursed creatures and when they are around. You either smell them or feel their overwhelming vile spiritual presence.
I do a lot of research and the situation you wrote about happened before to a woman named Pamela Hamilton who encountered humanoid reptiles i.e. Reptiles that shaped like humans.
Please note that I am a Christian, I don’t believe in aliens. However, the bible states that Satan and demons i.e. evil spirits were cursed by God and changed into hideous spiritual reptilian creatures.

These monstrous immortal beings called earth home before humans were created so they are still among us.

It appears that whenever demons or aliens are about to visit people. Some persons say that they hear a clicking, humming or buzzing sound.
Eva Trent, another American, also claims to have had many contacts with nonhuman entities. One night in January 1999, she went to bed in her small apartment. Later, she said, she woke to a “buzzing sound” and when she opened her eyes she was horrified to see two strange creatures standing on either side of her bed. A few people who claimed to have seen Crop Circles form stated that while they were in the area, they heard a humming or buzzing sound just like the buzzing sound you heard before you were attacked.
In April 1991 a man heard a high-pitched humming sound and saw a stationary silver bell-shaped ‘craft’ project a spiralling vortex of aura-like light into a field and make a 29-ft crop circle. The event occurred in broad daylight and was over in a few seconds.

Sounds to me like Kundalini energy experience. I don’t believe that it was demons, so don’t let other people instill fear in you. I hear the roaring sound and see lights all the time. Sometimes the awful feeling you are experiencing is one that you’ve created yourself just out of fear. I don’t experience any bad feelings because I understand what it is and I don’t panic. Search Kundalini on the internet and see if there are other similar things you’ve experienced. Some of them for me are:
hearing chanting, bells, or unexplainable animal noises
hearing loud roaring noise inside your head
feeling your bed shaking or your body vibrating
seeing symbols or colors while eyes are closed (and sometimes when open)
waking up hot and sweaty – unexplained internal heat
seeing little white or blue flashes of light in peripheral vision
feeling like someone is touching you lightly
tingly static electricity feeling on your arms, face or legs sometimes with goosebumps
buzzy tingly feeling on different locations of your body (where your Chakras are located)
pulse of energy coming out of your feet or hands
feeling like your hair is moving or activity on the top of your head
If you research this and decide that it’s not Kundalini, and still feel like it’s something bad, then protect yourself with white light and demand for it to leave. Kundalini usually works on you when you’re asleep because you are in such a relaxed state. I know it can be frightening to wake up to something like that, but once you understand what it is, it can be an experience that will bring you closer to yourself. It will cleanse you and help you to burn off your Karma and negativity that you pick up from others on a daily basis. I don’t believe that someone has to be of a “certain” religion to find God. I believe all paths of light and a pure heart lead to God/Source/Creator regardless of what “religion” someone is. Some things in this world just cannot be explained in words, you have to understand them with your Heart <3

It’s sleep paralysis and completely explainable.
This sort of thing used to happen to me all the time and I thought for certain demons were after me. It’s just a waking nightmare. Its JUST your brain chemistry being confused and turning what its feeling into fear and manifesting things like halucinations, sounds, and manevolant feelings. Thats all. Nothing is after you.
Demon attacks feel different. Trust me.
This phenomena is so common that its been written about in legends across cultures for years, Sleep experts also classify them as night terrors. People may be conscious, yet unable to move, (almost like you’ve slept on your arm but without the ‘pins and needles’) usually though, you can still move your eyes.
yup, a lot of people believe they’re being attacked by demons , ghost, or even aliens.
It usually happens once or twice a year and usually when you are under stress. (My friend used to get it whenever she was about to write an exam in college)
I used to get this 6-8 times/night (more than twice a year is considered ‘unusual’…hooray me)
Doctors wanted to give me drugs and such,,,,but a spiritualist taught me about astral projection and lucid dreaming.
I haven’t had one since.
So I don’t know, depending on your believe system, perhaps look into learning how to do that. At the very least, you will have some very wonderful lucid dreams.
PS….I have a very strong belief in spiritual things, but I am also a scientist.
