This is my first story ever published here, my name is Ryo I’m from Indonesia and I’m 20. I’ve experienced lots of paranormal thing since my early childhood, my family (mainly from my father’s side) are naturally born with “some special things” and so do I. Some of them hold kinds of amulet that have some spirits (we call it khodam) inside. As for me, I do have some amulet and beside that, I kinda sensitive to those paranormal activity.

My Great Aunt and her husband built their house during the depression and lived there all of their lives.  They were unable to have children, and instead opened their home to whichever family member or friend needed a place to stay.  Eventually it was just the two of them, settling in their sixties and the promise of retirement.  Then I came along.  Born to parents who did not want me, I was eighteen months old when my Great-Aunt “Granny” and Uncle “Pap” took me in.  I was raised with a lot of love and rooted firmly in our small church.  I  spent my days learning to cook and chased my Granny’s heels as she went about her chores.  I loved her more than anything and my life was wonderful.

Guesthouse in Kerala

Being an auditor my work involves visiting different places for audit. This incident happened to me few years back when I went to Kerala for an audit. I was staying at a guest house of the bank at the outskirts of the Kochi airport. That guest house had a peculiar architecture. It was situated at a distance of 2 km from Aluwa where the bank is situated. That guest house was two storied but the first floor was closed only the ground floor was used. The first floor was burnt and the renovation work was going on. The ground floor had three rooms all facing each other a common kitchen and a common dining hall. When I went there all the rooms where vacant except the one which I was occupying.

Baby Tylers Guardian or Something Else?

Ever since I was a small child, I have had many, many experiences. I believe that, as well as my parents house being haunted, I myself have been followed since moving out, as many things have happened since. So many things have happened throughout my lifetime, too many to tell, so this is an account of things that have happened around my son, Tyler, since he was born.

Tyler was born November 3rd 2007. I was so happy, but also a little sad that my nanna wasn’t around to meet him. She and I were so close and I was devastated when she passed on. Residual Haunting?

This comment was written in regards to a story here ( Haunted House for Sale) and the question is about residual hauntings. Most of us have heard about residual hauntings and we assume them to be some manner of “recording” of some psychic/emotional energy. A residual haunting is contrasted by an “intelligent” haunting in which the spirit or entity is known to react with the living and/or physical objects. When it comes to such things as ghosts and spirits it can be quite difficult to categorize and label. What do you think? Is a residual haunting nothing more than a paranormal recording?

Odd Experience

This story is from when I was a young girl, can’t remember exactly but I believe I must have been five or six years old. My brother is a year and a half younger than me, and at the time he used to sleep in my bed a lot because he would have nightmares. My parents hadn’t yet taught us about religion, so I had no concept of god, Jesus, the devil, or good and evil I guess? I also was too young to have learned about ghosts or anything of the sort. Killer Imaginary Friend

This story is absolutely true. It happened to me and my twin sister, Charrol. She and I where six, and loved to play dolls. Our family moved to a house in southern Ohio.

Charrol and I began to share an imaginary friend. Our parents thought it was super cute because we would always fight over who got to be “Tara’s” friend for the day. Tara would play dolls with us and drink tea at our tea parties.

After about a year mom and dad decided to tell us that Tara wasn’t real. Charrol wouldn’t have it. She said that Tara was real and that she was very nice. I never thought that my parents would lie to me but didn’t want to give up Tara. I believed my parents.

Sharing a House with Spirits

When I first moved into this house, I was 5. I didn’t know a thing about this place. But as soon as I got older… I couldn’t help but listen in to my mother’s conversations about the house. I heard her say that on the first day sleeping at the house that a sound had woken her up so she had sat up and saw an elderly woman staring at her angrily. My mother had gotten terrified and slid her head back under the covers.

A couple weeks later she told my sister about it and then later admitted to have seen the same woman when she took a tour of the house in the exact same room. And then I researched my house’s history and found out something terrifying that would scar me for life.

Childrens Experiences With the Paranormal

Although it was long ago I can still remember the eerie feelings I sometimes got when I was sure that there was something under the bed. Sometimes I would lay as still as I could hoping that maybe “it” would not notice me. I would be as silent as possible so that if that thing did come out at me I would hear it and perhaps have a chance to get away.

Children have always been fascinated with (and often terrified of) the paranormal world. They wonder about such things as ghosts and monsters and other strange things. The paranormal is real and it has been shown that children are more attuned to “noticing” it than adults who have been desensitized.

Incubus in the Night

This began over a year ago; I have never known much of succubus/incubi until I experienced what I believed to be an encounter. I am a 20 year old female, and I am a junior in college, so I no longer live at home but in my own apartment which I have lived in for 2 years now. Spirit of the Glass

I am new to the site and this is my first story to submit. I have quite a lot of paranormal experiences but this one is the most troubling of all.

This happened way back 2001, I was 14 then. It was my most troubled time in my teen life, my family and I just moved in my Grandparent’s home in Pasig, I just transferred to a new school, new people, new faces, I didn’t know anyone.
