My Friends Haunted House

My name is Jason. I am 25 years old, and have only had some recent encounters with the paranormal, which I documented in my story on this site “The Homestead Spirits.” Recently, while at a friend’s house for a birthday party, there were some strange occurrences that lead me to believe that the place is haunted.

In June, my best friend from high school purchased his very first house about halfway across town. A friend, my fiancé and I all helped him move in. He had purchased the house from a very devout family, and there crucifixes, rosaries, and icons all around the house, so much so that it was noticeable to me, someone who had grown up Catholic. Strange Creature with Red Eyes

I’m not sure whether I should classify this as a ghost story, or a “monster” story, but in my mind what happened in my life seems paranormal.

I’ll start by telling one of the scariest things I’ve ever heard in my life. I was 14 years old at the time. I lived in my grandparents old house with my parents, my 3 brothers, 2 sisters and my cousin Brayden.
Brayden’s parents didn’t keep care of him very well his whole life, so he was somewhat troubled but still a pretty normal kid like the rest of us. We all have heard this from the time we were small. Many think that your soul mate is the person that you fall in love with. Is this true, if so how and why?

Does the meaning of a soul mate mean some thing different for every culture? The way we are raised in our religions and spiritual beliefs is how we look at that kinda of thing.

The most common thought is that there is some one that is a perfect fit for us and completes us. The one that you fall in love with not the same kind of love that you give to your kids parents and siblings but that special kind of love. Knock Knock on My Window

The start of it all was a simple ‘Knock Knock’ on my window, which my bed was next to, while I was asleep. This woke me up and had me awake all night thinking of what it was. My mum has already told me that it could have been a bat or bird  But the knocks, I’m not sure how to describe it, just had that human feel to them.

Ever Strange Happenings

I am Vivian. I am sixteen, and do not prevaricate. I have never done so, and I shall tell you the truest tale that I have to tell. This all happened to me, not too long ago.

Like most people I have had experiences since I was very young. I was 7 when my older sister had a sleep over, they of course wouldn’t let me play so like any good little 7 year old I spied on them. Knock Knock Who’s there?

When grandma was a little kid, she lived with her baby sister, brother and mother. They had one maid in the house and their father was usually out for work. They lived in an old Victorian I think, in a town. A few relatives were over too – all women. They all spread a huge mattress in the hall – and slept together, with the little kids in between, for comfort and safety – for there were no men folk. Late at night – they heard knocks on the door….

Not the front door, but the hall door – inside the house! How could have anyone entered? Maybe it was the outhouse or neighbors – they had access… unless… could it be a thief? But why in the world would a thief knock?

The Haunted Portrait

My aunt Idella was an unusually beautiful woman, winning state beauty pageants and drawing the attention of many men. She eventually married a man she had known most of her life and they were happy for a time. However, the man grew increasingly jealous of the looks his very attractive wife received and he accused Idella of deliberately inviting attention. He began drinking heavily and his drunken rages were directed towards Idella. After suffering several beatings, Idella left the man and divorced him (something rarely done in those days.) In time,Idella remarried and the man died from his alcoholism.

Idella married a foreign diplomat and had the glittery life of high society and money, but she kept a house in her former neighborhood. I remember visiting her there. Demon of the Ouija Board

This happened to me and my brother in 2004, when I was 15. A little back story is required. There is a spot in the woods below my house called Indian Rock. Local legend says a Cherokee Chiefs daughter loved a warrior and when he died in battle she leaped to her death into the creek about 40 feet below. Scary Events in My Life

I have three different instances that have scared me but the last episodes by far have freaked me out the most. I will start with the first one, I was maybe 13 years old and I was home alone talking on the phone to a friend. The phone was on a jack right next to the entryway that leads from the living room to the dining room. I was sitting on the floor right next to the entryway talking when all of the sudden, one of my baby brother’s balls rolled past the entryway right next to me. My great grandmother lived next door so I hung up and ran to her house and wouldn’t go back until my dad got home.

How Many Ghosts are There?

When I was around six years old my mother and step dad had a house built in a new neighborhood for us. It had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, family room, kitchen, office, and unfinished basement. And it’s the basement that most of my experiences happened.

The earliest encounter that I remember (I was about nine) is when I was sitting in the basement waiting for my two sisters to come down so we could play. I had been sitting on our white couch – that happened to be in the middle of the basement – holding one of my little pony toys when I felt a hand touch my shoulder and a presence lean over as if to see what I had been holding.
