Omemee Ontario Haunting

Posted on February 28, 2010

Lately a couple things have been going on. Just little random things really…

1) I sit in my living room alone a lot and watch TV until very late. Whenever the curtains seem to be open I hear knocking and I ignore it but it continues. I checked once in the morning to see if it could be anything outside but there are no trees nor bushes near the window. Also, we live in an old farm house in the middle of no where so no one could be out there constantly doing this. As a test I shut the curtains one night and heard nothing. Opened the next time and the knocking continued. When I look out the window nothing is there.

2) My bedroom seems to have an eerie feeling something. You will feel someone get into bed with you (I live with my boyfriend at my parents home and we both can feel it) we’ve been ignoring it just because we’re so used to it. However, if he falls asleep before I do I have to keep my eyes closed because I have a feeling someone is in the bed room with us. An eerie feeling of being watched constantly.

3) I have been hearing my name being called and when asking someone what they wanted they reply that they did not call me. Even in the dead of night I hear my name being called however it always seems to be a woman’s voice and it doesn’t scare me like it does if I heard the mans voice.

4) I was starting to fall asleep in another room and in my ear I heard “Hey!” and it was a mans voice. My heart started to panic and I ran for some reason.

5) I used to be fairly hard into drugs which whatever I was a teenager. Now I was into the chemicals and extremely depressed which is why I was doing drugs. And I remember laying in my bed thinking and trying to fall asleep when I was half awake or in some sort of half sleep state and I saw a man with brown hair looking at me. He was bent over my bed and his head was turned side ways looking at me and he said to me “Your going to be okay you know that right? Everything is going to be okay.” I always thought “yea whatever I was probably just high” but the more I thought about it and spoke with my friend who states she is clairvoyant, she described to me the male spirit who lives in my loft or upstairs I suppose and she states he’s a good man. She’s told me a lot of things about my house that explains a lot of things that have happened.

6) Sometimes when I pull into my driveway at night or if I’m walking into my house I hear this faint old music playing. It has only happened a couple times but enough for me to notice and when I try to listen harder it fades off. There’s no way its a house near me because of us living in the middle of no where.

7) Cupboards seem to open and you can hear someone going through the kitchen or appliances in cupboards being moved about. We have four large dogs. Sometimes at night they just stare with their ears perked up as if someone was talking to them. Or they will growl into the darkness at nothing. One of our dogs would not go outside at night for a couple weeks. Related? I’m not sure but it was something to think about.

If any other fun things happen I’ll be sure to keep you updated.

An old farm house out in the middle of nowhere…sounds like a location just ripe for activity! Tell me though; when did the activity start? Have your parents ever experienced anything???? I would research the history of the homes’ past owners and look over old land deeds too.. some of what you are hearing and/or experiencing sounds like residuke hauntings- the music that comes and goes for example… animals can sense things that we can’t… I am glad you have several big dogs out there with you… thanks for sharing! Let us know if you find out anything about the house/land! Thanks!
