I had a very strange dream a few nights ago. I was staying in the guest room of our house (that section of the house my sister, myself, and anyone else who stays there believe is haunted). Before I went to sleep all three of my cats were in the room, looking alert, acting weird, and staring at nothing. One of them even jumped on the bed to sleep with me (which, in the five years we’ve had her has NEVER done). As I turned out the light I heard very heavy footsteps in the room (which I hear in there frequently) but no one is ever in there, or even near there. I heard other strange sounds, dismissed as the ghost that likes to hang around (he’s thrown things at my sister and idea and likes to close the outside gate, my mum who isn’t a believer of that sort of stuff, saw a dark figure at our gate when it closed by itself and when we ran out no one was there) and went to sleep.
To cut a long story short, in my dream I was being attacked by a strange man who forced his way into the house I was staying at, everyone could hear me screaming but no one could get in to help me. After I broke free in my dream, I put a crucifix above my bed and dozed off, when I woke up in my dream I was saturated in blood and I looked up and Christ had been crying tears of blood and that’s what I was covered in.
When I woke up (in real life, not the dream) I was shaken and freaked out. Does anyone know what this dream could mean? Does it mean anything at all? In all my 21 years I have never had a dream like this!

no offence, but it would just sound like a nightmare except for the happenings before this. most people facsinated by the paranormal will know that animals, especially cats and dogs, are more sensitive to paranormal happenings and occurances. there is a chance that this ‘family ghost’ you mention visited you at night due to the fact that you slept in what appears to be its territory. i think that these are the only 2 options: 1. you were incredibly tired, thought that you heard the ghost (the cats heard a noise which scared them) and this influenced your dreams. 2. an entity visited you, scaring your cats, just as you were about to fall asleep. the entity could even have possessed you, not enough to take control of you, but enough to fill your dreams with horrorifying visions and ideas, such as you described. if you want to discuss this then please reply to this comment.
Your opinions are good and i would love to discuss them with you. here are mine..
What you said are true, but i think that maybe the blood was that the Lord was protecting her from the entity that was trying to posess her. When she put the crucifix above her bed, she managed to sleep. she was being protected from the blood of the Lamb.
Krisha, are you very religious at all?
Dreams work on many levels, puns and allegories and outside of just a plain nightmare there is potentially a deeper message. The fact you dreamt a man attacked you doesn’t mean he will.
Firstly there is a young man attacking you and your screaming and no-one can help you – almost a typical frightening/ frustration situation.
Is there something in your life where you feel you need help but you aren’t getting it?
That sounds really plain and boring but sometimes the brain uses shocking images to make us pay attention to something we ignore when we’re awake.
Now you put a ‘ crucifix ‘ above your bed or a cross – were you cross – such as angry with someone at the time of the dream. Its over the bed – so hanging over you – was being annoyed with someone bothering you and ‘ hanging over you ‘ at the time of the dream?
The whole Jesus thing sounds very confronting but it is coming up to easter and if its anything like where I live, there are ‘ easter ‘ ads on TV and pamphlets coming in the mail – so there is a bit more ‘ Jesus imagery ‘ about at the moment.
Depending on your culture you may have a christian background anyway – so jesus popping up isnt too weird over easter…..but what does he mean?
I don’t know what your relationship with christian religion is like – is it a literal religious interpretation or just something picked up from the easter campaign and your brain stuck in like a random post it note? But interesting just the same.
