This happened to me when I was stationed in the Air Force on Okinawa Japan. I was single then and living in the dorms. I worked the swing shift 3 – 11 pm so I got to sleep in until 9:00 am. Just before waking I had what I thought was a vivid dream, one that I can remember even today and this was in 1994.
I was on the porch of some older black gentleman and he was looking up at me, it was an open porch and I could see the mountains behind him off in the distance. All of a sudden there was a huge explosion in the mountains, than a train came out that had been blown to bits. In my dream I thought it went under the old mans house, apparently in real life it went through. In my “dream” I saw many dead women and children, in trees and in the back yard.
I woke up thinking, why did I dream such a thing? I told my friend about the dream later that night and she thought it was weird. Now comes the weird part.
The next day I walk into work, I picked up the news paper and stopped breathing, I couldn’t speak, a colleague had to go get my friend for me. Front page news story, in Egypt a train had exploded coming out of the mountains. It went through an older gentleman’s house, they were looking for the bodies of mostly woman and children.
That was the first time anything like that happened. I have always been able to feel things but that was the first and scariest phenomenon for me. It has happened a couple of times since, my father was a witness to one.
I dreamed there was a mudslide somewhere in California. My Uncle called us the next day in Wyoming in 1998 and told us that there was a mudslide in Malibu and California, the hills went into the ocean.

I have had premonitions that came to pass too; though none as tragic as yours! Still it is terribly upsetting and I can empathize with you! Who knows how, where or why we can do this at times? We will never know the vast capabilities of the human mind; ESP has but scratched the surface… thank you for sharing!
KAREN-that is some crazy stuff.what did your friends say when they found out you were right?there are some powers i would love to have but that what you have no way.one good thing is you could help out if anything like that happens again.wich i hope never.then again people would ask how did you know that and so on.but good luck to you and i pray nothing else happens.thanks for the story.
That is so weird!!! I bet you were super freaked out when you looked at the newspaper the next day. You could probley help people and stop anything before it happens. Just a thought. Good luck with your visions!

i think i would of freaked out and maybe cry.then if i had dreams like that i would try and do something for people to listen.then again you never know how many people would just wonder how did you know.

I have dreams like this! Usually it’s only little tidbits, but I never had one like this! It’s called precognitive dreaming.
I’ve had several strange things happen within my life time, and can not really understand the reason(s) for any them, though I still try to figure them out to this day. Dreaming dreams that come true has happened several times, but usually I don’t recongnize all the information within them – a who, what, where, or when alludes me. For instance in one dream:
I was standing among a crowd of people on the right hand side of a large white building- on the sidewalk below the long white steps of the building. There was gentle nudging & talking going on, but it all stopped when a group of men came out of the building & proceeded down the stars. Behind me on the street & a bit to my left was a black car that the men were walking towards. One man open the back car door to let others in & as they neared the car, gun fire rang out. Two men were shot & seemed to fall into the back seat with a third man leaning over them. The crowd starting screaming and I was looking around, as a couple of men within the group started wrestling w/some guy who was standing near me.
Several days later, President Reagan was shot. The wierd thing is that all the details in my dream were there in the news film. The building, the men coming down the stairs, the gunman was in the crowd that was to the right of the building, and he shot when the President & others drew close to their car. But I did not see the face of the gunman, nor did I know in my dream that it was the president.
And just to finish, I don’t know if anyone else experiences this, but my dreams that come true feel different than my regular dreams. I feel my presence in the place I’m dreaming, and I wake up with the feeling that I’ve just slapped back into my body, and I’m tired.

maybe the person wrote this story heard the news while in and out of sleep and thought they had dreamed it Also dreaming of a mud slide in California is not as much a premonition as it is a probability.
can somebody help me figure out this dream
well i was outside the house with my aunt and suddenly the sky became white(it was night time) when i looked at my back i saw the sun exploding when i heard the sound like it was a grenade thrown a few meters away from me then ash and pumice rained from the sky
