A Grandmothers Good Bye

Posted on March 8, 2011

Well Hello Again, My name is Crystal and I’m also the writer of Haunted Ranch in Falfurrias Texas. Well in my last story I had mentioned my grandparents having a huge ranch, and how it seemed to be haunted. I also mentioned that my grandmother had passed away. Me and my grandmother were extremely close. She was the queen bee she always knew what to do and say to bring together our whole entire family. Even if there was drama she always would fix the problem.

I’m sadden that her life ended at the age of 68. She was a diabetic. her favorite holiday was Easter and for some strange reason that was the only holiday that the entire family could make it and be with each other. She had 9 children. Well to get to the point Easter was right around the corner and it was a surprise because we for the first time me and my parents were going to have our family members come to our house for the holiday and we live in Houston. My grandmother was thrilled about the idea. well they came down on a Friday and stayed thru Sunday evening. Easter was great but for some reason my grandmother was very very sick she looked terrible. Before she left she had pulled me to the side and said I will always be with you and you are the joy of my life. She than gave me a kiss and we said our good bye’s. I was really sad to see her leave. About t days later I got the weirdest feeling that something was wrong. I started to think how would I react if I lost my grandmother? What would the family do if, and when she’s gone? I called my grandma and told her how I felt she told me no matter what she was proud and she would always be with me. She sounded fine that night.

Afterwards I felt good knowing she was fine and nothing could happen. Well I feel asleep that night, and was wakened by my mother and father crying I asked whets all the commotion. Just so happens my grandmother died around 2 am that night. I felt terrible I couldn’t believe it I called my grandfather and he said it was true my grandmother had left us. I was so upset and hurt we quickly packed our bags and the whole entire family headed to the ranch. I ran inside looking for my grandmother but they, the paramedics had taken her already.

My grandfather hugged me tightly and said that my grandmother cherished and loved me dearly that I was always special to her. I just leapt saying over and over why and how could you leave me? well that night I had a dream that she came to me and said that she was my angel and she was gonna look after me. She also said that I was the strong one who should and would bring the family together again. well just so happens every year it is I who brings the family together for Easter. At one point no one wanted to carry on the tradition because since my grandmother had died Easter had died along with her. But I knew way better, and she just wanted all of us to get along and be a loving family!

I’m really sorry for writing such a long story but I felt that it was important to share with you folks my experience and I was curious why was I the one having to feel this way. Till this day I still wont understand why?

Firstly,I’m sorry about your grandma. =(
I know it hurts especially when u remember all the good times u had with her,or anyone else you loved who died.
    Second off,
it’s because she loved you. That’s all there is to it :)

The reason you felt like that, and had a weird feeling that something was up is because of your very close relationship with your grandmother you shared with her. I can’t really explain it, but it was a close bond that you and her shared.

Nothing is more amazing then having a close relationship with a family member or even a friend or loved one. After a while of having a close relationship you tend to get weird feelings of something either good or bad that’s going to happen.

Why it happens, I can’t say but what you and her had was very special and she’ll always be there even though she isn’t physically she’s there mentally and in your heart.

Should try and write a journal about your dreams of her you have, it could shock you.
