Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

Before I write down my story there are some thing you need to know. I have encountered some paranormal situations since I was little. Most of them are from my dreams. Except one I had which was when I was 4 or 5 years old. Back then I use to walk on my toes, because anytime I looked on the floor I would see fire and people burning in it. It was kind of like the floor was glass-like and I could see the whole thing! I told my mum about it often and she took me to a pastor who prayed for me and it was all gone and I walked normally.

But these days, my dreams tell it all. I usually have a lot of sleep paralysis (like some one’s drawing my soul off and my body can’t move), with disturbing voices, and events of the future (mostly things that may happen the next day or next week).

Here is one of my experience that still amaze me. My grandma died 4 years ago in our house in the visitor room. Although I wasn’t really on good terms with her (my sister doesn’t even like her, because she picks on her and calls her a witch {my family especially my grandma beliefs in the paranormal,although we’re Catholics} Apart from my mum and auntie who did cherish her). I felt like one part of me was gone. Everyone missed her, even my sister.

Before she died, she had ‘the anointing of the sick’ in case of sudden death due to her serious illness. I remember, I had a dream of her sitting in a window of our old house (my dad died 11 years ago, due to the loneliness and the love she had for him, she didn’t remarry, so my uncle and my aunt {not yet married} lives with us plus my granny before she died) with all white,I can’t remember our conversation (that was about 3 years ago) but at the end of it all she vanished before I could say more. Well I believe she was happy in heaven. Now this is the main story below:

My sister and I don’t usually go to sleep that early, but I sleep later than her! like around 3 or 4 am. Usually,we do a lot of talking, reading or researching. One Night, I was up late in my room doing some research on the web, then suddenly, I had this feeling like something was watching me. I felt very uncomfortable after some few minutes and decided to go to my sister’s room. I usually do that when I have this same feeling and anytime I had this I knew something will come up, maybe a strange dream, that will totally freak me out.

My sister was also doing some research. I lied to her and said that I wanted to stay in her room because my room had some mosquitoes (we live in Africa, my mum’s from there and my dad’s a European). She didn’t really buy that, because we have mosquito nets in our house, but anyway she allowed me. I got my pillow and blanket and stayed on her bed feeling safe that nothing would happen to me.

A few minutes later, around 2 am I felt sleepy, but was a little bit frightened to sleep, (my sister was surprised to see me sleepy, which was very unusual since I don’t sleep that early). Well my sleep won and suddenly I heard some voice, like that of demons (you know like in horror movies) and something like  sleep paralysis, but I feel like some thing was trying to draw my soul out of my body, and those voices were deafening. I have always learned how to wake up from any sleep paralysis I had. I must admit that this one was different. I called out to my sister for help, but I could feel my body limb, the voices grew louder and I called on the name of JESUS so many times with all my faith, then suddenly I woke up! I saw my sister looking at me, and she asked me if I was alright because she saw me struggling. I told her I was alright that it was the mosquitoes. She said nothing and I went  back to sleep. Now I heard my family name (my mum, aunt, sister, uncle) called with their own voice and they were saying something, which I can’t remember. It became louder and then I woke up, this time my sister woke me up and asked me if I am sure that everything is alright with me.I told her I was alright, now she told me she was tired, so we both went to sleep

.As I was sleeping I suddenly saw my grandma, looking older, sitting on a chair, and then with her, my mum, uncle, sister, aunt (and me) were standing next to her helplessly (and my mum was standing behind her chair). Around us was like a mass of ghosts (like lost souls) moving around us in a circular motion. In my dream the place we were was in a grave which looked dark like it was about to rain, with thick gray clouds which was surrounded by ghosts! I can’t remember the conversation we had but, I remember that I was begging and weeping , but it was only me that was doing that. The rest of my family was just dumb! When I finally used all my strength in doing that, it was all gone!

I woke up around 9 am with the phone ringing. It was my friend, who called me, telling me he needs our help in choosing a new phone for him. He told me he was gonna pick us up  and we should get ready. I got up and went to the bathroom. As I looked into the mirror and I noticed I was looking all lean and under my eyes were all dark. I looked like I didn’t have enough rest. I tried to remember why but I couldn’t (usually when I have dreams, I don’t remember them as soon as I wake up until later in the day).

I woke my sister and we got ready. My mum and my sister did notice how I looked. They asked me if I was alright. I told them I was fine. My friend came by and everything went fine. On our way to my crib, we were stuck in traffic. I looked out of the car window, then suddenly, I saw someone who looked like my granny in a car. Then it hit me! The dream I had. I told my sister about it, before I could continue with the story, she completed it for me! I was so shocked, that we had almost the same dream. She saw us all in the same position with the same scenario only that it was not in a grave, but in our living room. I asked her why see didn’t talk in the dream, and she told me that she had this ‘drawing effect’ like some one was drawing her soul and she was feeling too weak to do anything). My friend was to shocked to talk. We told our mum later when we got home and she told us to pray.

Months later, my mum fell sick. It grew worse and she was almost at the point of death. Before that I usually had that drawing effect, but it wasn’t that strong. I then had one when my mum was still sick! I could see spirits moving round and voices trying to tell me something I couldn’t understand. All I was saying was leave her alone. I woke up and it was all gone.

Days later my mum was better and now she’s okay. Now everything makes sense to me, my mum staying behind my granny means that she was at the point of death, my begging means that I was trying to save her from it and my granny present meant she was warning me about that sudden death. Although I can’t remember what we said, but I strongly believe that was what the dreams where warning me. Till now, I still have strange dreams and sleep paralysis, whereby something is like trying to take something from me and I’m always calling on my sister to help me out and then I realize the words aren’t coming out and then I force myself out of it. I would be glad if any one can please help me out with it.
