Some years ago when my daughter was about 3 years old we lived in an open plan house with a large living room. The house was bright sunny rooms but I always felt cold lived there, 14 years before I move on.
One night myself my hubby son and daughter, were all sleeping, I was awakened to the noise of chatting and music playing. I thought my son was downstairs watching television and thinking he had fallen asleep, I peeped in his room to see if he was there, he was. I woke him up turning on his bedside lamp. I whispered, can you hear the noise downstairs?
The look on his face! He said what’s that mum? I was very scared and frozen and by then stood at the top of the stairs too frightened to go down.
We had not long come back from a holiday were we bought our daughter a holiday club child’s CD that was playing downstairs. Still too frightened to go downstairs I went to bed when the music stopped. The next morning I had a chat with my hubby about what happened, it did not wake him up, thinking he might of thought I was crazy.
HE said the CD player was not working. I said it was working I could hear it. He said you could not have heard the CD player, its broken. The CD player was a child’s one you put batteries in. I picked it up looked to turn out the batteries and there were no batteries in it. Very strange.
Some weeks later I was chatting at work about what happened because a guy in work stated he was hearing noises in his home; footsteps walking round his bed one night and stopped at his side of the bed, he said he had hid his face under the bed covers. He said one morning he was making coffee when his, cat yelped all his toes were all wide apart spread across the floor like he had seen something. Even his daughter said she was chatting to her friend, in her room but no one was with her.
Months later I was chatting to a work mate when she said the house he lived in belonged to a family that had moved away after their daughter had died from a child’s illness, and her granddad died a short time later. They had relatives where I lived on the estate, and my workmate said they could have been looking for them. I think there was some connection there between our two houses. The little girl and her granddad were in my home that night, she was playing, giggling with someone playing with my daughters toys.
One story I will never forget I only hope they find their way home.

it’s hard to say why they come out to play. i do think both of the houses are related if the people were. make a journal. write down times when it occurs. as long as they don’t interact with you your okay. put a recorder downstairs where you think the sounds come from. let us know what happens! thanks!
you can talk to the two and tell them to cross over and look into the light.if you want them to go home.or just leave them alone.there not doing anything.thanks for the story.
Cleanse your space with burning sage, and affirm your home to be yours. Set the rules for them if they are to remain; that is, they are not to hurt or bother you or your family in any way. You should encourage them to move on and let them know that your home is no longer “theirs”. These spirits sound pretty benign and just need a little coaching to help them realize it’s time to move on.
spooky!!!
maybe they’re trying to find their family?…..
great story btw
This story has spooked me, Well done Christine. I hope to hear some more of your stories in the future. I have read thousands of stories before and this one was very chilling. Kinds regards Steven
