There is this apartment building in my town that was originally a mansion. The mansion was built in the early 1900’s and the owners soon moved in shortly after. After both owners died in the 1940’s the mansion was abandon for several years.
In the late 60’s a woman moved into the mansion and fixed it up a bit. She lived in the mansion until she died in August of 1998. During her time in the mansion she had many ghostly experiences, the first one she didn’t experience her self, for a mail man experienced it.
One sunny day a mail man walked up to the ladies door to deliver a package, the screen door was open and he could clearly see down the hall way of the mansion and up the stairs. He saw a little girl running down the hall way, she stopped and smiled right at him and then ran up to a door and went into the room behind the door. The lady answered the door moments later as he was handing her the package he said ‘That’s a very cute granddaughter you’ve got’ The lady stared at him confused ‘Little girl?‘ she replied. ‘Yes, the little girl. She went right into that room.‘ The lady looked every ounce of confused and walked over to the door and said ‘This is a closet… and there isn’t a girl in this house.‘ and opened the door and the mail man stared in disbelief. This story made it into the local news paper.
It wasn’t until 2001 that the mansion was made into an apartment building. Many have reported seeing the little girl running down the hall and going into the closet. Its said that the first owners of the mansion had a little girl who loved playing in the closet with her dolls. It was said that the girl died at the age of 6 years old from a disease now anyone who lives in the apartment complex gets a visit every once in a while from the little girl, especially down the hall way, closet and in her bedroom.
