The Ghost Footprint

Posted on November 18, 2009

My name is Brittany I am currently 13 years old. But the story I’m about to tell you took place when I was 11 turning 12. I must tell you that everything I am about to tell you is true.

It was a dark night and my mom and her friends were over visiting. Me and my brother Kade were sitting on the couch bored out of our minds. “Who wants to go to the vampire graveyard?” my mother suggested. I didn’t want to go, I hated that place. Vampire graveyard was a nickname for the graveyard. It didn’t have vampires at all but there was something strange about that place.

Vampire graveyard was located in the woods so we had to drive down a gravel road that wasn’t even named, it lead to a dead end. My mother drove us all to the graveyard. As soon as we arrived my mom and her friends got out of the car. But me and my brother stood still. I did not move an inch. “Aren’t you coming!” my mom yelled in front of the woods. I looked at my brother. He looked back. All I knew is that I DID NOT want to go in there, I didn’t know why. But inside of me I felt so scared and I started to shake. “I think I’m going to stay in the car!” I replied. She shook her head.

All of a sudden my brother got out of the car. ” I’m going with mom I’m not going to stay here alone,” my brother said and ran for my mom. At first it didn’t matter but then it hit me. I looked around I was alone in the car in the woods. I started crying. Tears ran down my face. I looked in front of me at my mom, she was almost inside the woods you could only see half of her. “NO MOM I WANT TO GO HOME!” I yelled as loud as I could. Now I REALLY did not want to be here. I felt that I was not alone but I was. “MOM!” I yelled over and over again till she came to the car with her friends. Her friends just shook their heads at me. They did not know how I was feeling right now and no one else felt it. I just kept crying it freaked me out.

I knew someone was there but no one (when I was in the car alone) ” What’s wrong” my mom said. I didn’t answer to that I didn’t know what was wrong. “I want to go home NOW please,”  I told her. She and her friends got into the car. I looked down embarrassed. But then,”What’s that!” my mom said. I looked up. And there at the windshield was a HUMAN footprint. I saw it with my own two eyes. I got so scared that I told my mom to turn the windshields on so I couldn’t see it anymore.

To tell you now that was definitely not an animal footprint I swear. And if I heard something which I didn’t then I would know its an animal and I would of saw it but no animal. And it was not a smear because you could see the foot part and the 5 toes. I’m  not stupid and I know what I saw, trust me that night changed my life of believing in ghosts.

This story is 100% true And I hope you believe me because no one believes me except the witnesses that were there. This was a human footprint and everyone that experienced something like this please believe me.

    Hi Brittany,

I totally believe your story, and you had no reason to feel bad what so ever about not wanting to be at that place. I would have been terrified as well!

  2. trolldoll1681 says:

that was so mean of your mom to do that to you and your bro. i gather you didn’t live with her. as for the foot print, could it have been there before and you didn’t see it in the dark from the outside, but when the dome light was on you saw it. sorry you had such a frightening experience.

    Hi Brittany :

Do not worry, may be someone climbed the car before going to the grave & left this footprint , but I just blame your mother to take you & your brother to this terrifying place, she also left you alone without any reason, why did they go to the grave at night with kids like you? sorry to say that , but some people should not deserve to be as parents !!!!
    Take care hun.

when i was that age, i would have also been terrified… i do believe you!!! most of us here have seen strange things,, i have no clue what it could have been.. i felt so sorry for you, that you had to be in that situation..being that afraid, can manifest all sorts of things.. we have all talked about stress and anxiety here.. when i am under a lot of stress,, i am more apt to see or hear something.. bless your heart!!!!!!!

i will keep you in my prayers hun,, dont worry, there is nothing to be afraid of… the good thing is,, being that afraid has taught you something… maybe that experience will keep you away from other scary situations….

you are in my heart and prayers hun,,,, ktm

This would have been a cooler story if they hadnt come back to the car and you had been stalked by wood elves.. Not for you it wouldnt have been, but for the reader.
Not really sure why a self respecting mom would take her small kids to a “Vampire Graveyard” late at night.

I guess you will be traumatised now.. I would be.

    Hi Brittany,

I read your story again, and it just angers me how your mom and her friends put you (and your brother) in a situation that scared you so much, and then to make you feel bad about it. I’m sure that your mom is a nice lady and that she loves you and your brother a bunch, but, she was totally in the wrong. And then, to walk away and leave you and your brother in the car ALONE in the middle of the woods. ..IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT OF ALL THINGS! Anything could have happened to you while she was gone. Some crazy person could have come up to the car and try to do some harm to you (and your brother if he had stayed in the car). Also, there could have been some crazy person in the graveyard just waiting to do some harm to the first person or people who stepped foot in there.

I’m not sure what that footprint was. Whether it was from a spirit passing through, or whether it was from someone who had been sitting on your mom’s car previously. Maybe it was a practical joke by your mom’s uncaring friends. Who knows. And I have to agree with the comment above…what self respecting mother would bring her children to a graveyard in the middle of the woods late at night…

Like I said before, Sweetie. I’m sure that your mom is a wonderful person and a caring mother. But, I feel that she just made a wrong decision that night. And for her friends to shake their heads at you and make you feel so bad because you were scared, well your mom should have told them to not judge you and to be more caring and understanding. toward you.

Anyway Brittany, you take care. And, please don’t ever feel bad or ashamed about being scared of anything.

  9. Brittany age 13 says:

we i said i didnt want to go i was thinking it

  10. Brittany age 13 says:

my mom made alot of wrong desions but im not trying to make her look bad i appreciate your honesty i do

i swear and i never lie that was a footprint!!!!

  11. Bonnie says:

    Hi Brittany,

You weren’t being rude, Sweetie. And, I admire how you defended your mom. I’m sure that your mom would never had left you in a dangerous situation. Getting back to your story, that had to have been really scarey seeing a footprint on the windshield of your mom’s car, especially when it wasn’t there before. That would have totally freaked me out if I had saw something like that!

I did have an expereicne myself one time, concerning seeing something on the windshield. Very early one morning, about six years ago, I saw, what appeared to be, a small angel on the windshield of our car. It just appeared suddenly. I was waiting for my husband to drive me to the hospital. I was going to have a life threatening surgery done and I didn’t know it I was going to make it or not. But, this little angel made me feel so much at peace and gave me hope. And as suddenly as this little angel appeared, it just faded away (I’d say after about several minutes). And luckily, everything worked out.

What were your mom and her friends thoughts about the footprint? How long did the footprint stay on the windshield?

Brittany, you take care, Sweetie, and it was nice talking to you.

    Bonnie

    Hi Brittany,

I’m sure that your mom is a wonderful and caring person and that she loves you and your brother very much and are very proud of you both. As for making the wrong decisions, your mom is only human. Sometimes, when we make wrong decisions, it’s a learning process. And, I’m sure that your mom has learned and have grown from her’s.

  13. Roman says:

hey brittany, im about you age and i am VERY scared already!! ive had some ghost expieriences and am VERY scared! I rekon dat was pretty brave of u 2 stay in the car and normally i would be the one ditching my bro in the car, but he wud go to, there is a movie out called ‘Paranormal Activity’ it is VERY scary, i am 100% fasinated by supernatural things and stuff but wen its night or im alone id get sooo scared,

    bye, Roman (empress) xox

  14. LMC says:

Hello Brittany, My name is Lisa cool story! don’t worry about what others say about your mother I am pretty sure your mother didn’t think that you , your brother or anybody would be in danger that night or she would of never had took you kids. Your mother and her friends probably been going there for awhile and nothing dangerous ever happen. that is probably why they shook thier heads cause sometimes people who are not scare and think they are not in danger just kind of think others who are sacred are silly. No big deal you probably think the same way in certain situations with somebody you know when you think they are being silly. I am pretty sure when they all saw the footprint they didn’t think you were being silly and they got scared. I am also pretty sure your mother loves you and your brother very much!

I am a mother of 2 boys they are grown now. I have done things that made me think “What was I thinking?” we are only human. my boys grew up in a haunted house so they are pretty much aware of unexplained things that happen. I also would go visit relatives who lived in a house we nick named Amityville and yes my kids would be with me, now that place was haunted by a negative entity, all kinds bad things would always happen there but I still took my kids there. it didn’t make me a bad mother I would always feel ok and knew my kids would be ok.

If Roman is reading this “Paranormal Activity” is a good movie a low budget movie. My son saw it and so did my nephew (my nephew who lived in the Amityville house) the things we went through “Paranormal Activity” was a picnic so we weren’t scared at all, also it was a movie, it wasn’t a true ghost story.

Just remember when ever you get a bad vibe listen to it and if you feel something and can’t see it, it doesn’t mean it’s your imagination, don’t ever be ashamed of anything you feel, stand your ground and stand tall with your head held high and make people listen to you and believe you! your feelings could save your life!

take care sweety and stay safe lots of love to you and your family and God Bless you all!,
    Lisa
