Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

This ghost story all took place about 32 years ago in Seattle, Washington when I was 13 years old. You see, my mother was very abusive to me, always hitting me, whipping me with bull whips and giving me a few black eyes.

We moved into this house in a very nice neighborhood, but after we moved into the house I would hear some one walking down the hallways all night long. Any way, after getting one of my beatings from my mother I went to bed. I could not sleep because I was badly hurt and feeling ashamed of myself, thinking it was all my fault why I got the beating that night.

It was about 1 in the morning and everyone was a sleep except me, when I started hearing footsteps coming down the hallway. I thought it was my mother so I closed my eyes to pretend like I was sleeping so she would not find me still awake. I heard the bedroom door knob turn and I felt a breeze on my face go by. I then felt someone sit on my bed and put a hand on my leg. I thought it was my mom come to say that she was sorry for hitting me, but when I opened my eyes no one was there sitting with me on my bed. 

I jumped out of bed and turned the light on but still no one was there. I stood there for about five minutes trying to calm myself down and to figure out what had just taken place. I decided to just go back to bed and leave the light on and I did just that and fell asleep.

The next night when I was getting into bed I was thinking about the night before and what took place. I decided not to dwell on it and scare myself , so I turned the lights out and went to bed. I fell asleep. Well about midnight I was awakened by my bedroom door knob turning. I got scared so I put the blanket over my face and made a little peep hole so I could see what was coming into my room.

My door opened and it closed and I did not see any one. I felt again someone sit on the edge of my bed and put a hand on my leg. It stayed there for about 15 minutes then it got up went to the door open it and walked out and closed the door. This went on all night long and it happened just about every night there after for about a month. All I can say is whatever it was, was probably just trying to comfort me after all the beatings I got. I am now 44 years old and I still think about the ghost that just wanted to make sure I was ok.
