My family and I have been plagued for the past four months by a demonic curse that was placed on our house in the fifties, apparently.
About two weeks after we moved in, my seven year old daughter Fragrance noticed odd patches of damp appearing on the bare stone walls. This stream of damp centered itself around the pictures of our family that adorn the walls.
After a few occurrences I plucked up the courage to test it. The fluid was warm to the touch and sticky so that it adhered to the wall like glue. We put this down to the high levels of rain and perhaps a faulty pipe. But soon after streams of it began shooting through the air from an unknown source that we were never fast enough to identify.
The ooze always disappeared after a matter of moments but the shock was intense. As quickly as the phenomena began, they halted. We lived in peace for a week or two until the paranormal activities returned anew.
My son, Harrison, ventured out to collect wood for the fire that burned below a full family picture. Upon his return he reported heavy breathing following him back, this and an unnatural warmth emanating from the logs, as though already on fire. Then there was the sap. Although the logs had been dried for months, they were thick with gunk.
Our past experiences were remembered. He was covered in the stuff when he dumped them onto the fire. Then it happened. Out of the burning logs sprouted an eye. It was on a stalk and glared at us with ferocity. It was glowing red, an unfaltering luminescence. It was flanked by two globes hovering on either side of it.
Suddenly the foul goop exploded from the fireplace, covering us all from head to toe. A horrendous stench enveloped the room. The demon receded, leaving us in a soaking darkness.
We are trying to sell the house. It’s too much for us, but on every viewing, a shrill scream echoes through the house, “GET OFF OF ME”. We cant sell. Its at the point were we may have to abandon this hellhole before the demon strikes again
