Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

We had just moved to Virginia. As soon as we walked into that house I ran right to the up stairs closet. I would stay up there for hours. One night at dinner my mother asked me why I stayed in the closet so much. I told her I was playing with a boy. She asked me what the boy’s name was I told her I didn’t know but I would find out.

The next day I ran into the  kitchen  yelling, “I know his name, I know his name!” I told her I only knew his last name. So my mom went to the library and looked up the name. She found out his name was Jess Brace and that he had died of a fever in 1762. She also found out that he had a sister named Velvet Brace who was murdered over at her friend’s house not long after her brother’s death.

One night we were at a party next door. A man came down to get some ice. When he had got the ice he turned around and saw me, a boy in a button down shirt, and a girl in a silk white dress with black hair and a red bow. The man dropped the ice and ran.

One night we were heading up to Wisconsin for Christmas at my grandma’s house. When my mom tried to shut the car door I stared screaming he’s coming don’t shut the door, so when he was in she shut the door. When we got there that night we were all sitting around the fire when my Aunt Judy asked, ” So Meredith, How is Jess”. ” He’s fine, actually he’s here tonight see his hand is on your leg,” I said. For the rest of the night we sat there and looked at the boy that every one thought only I could see.

Many months later I was playing in the backyard. I ran inside saying, ” Mama guess what, I was playing with a man”. She was surprised. A month later we went on a trip to Washington. we went on a tour of the White House. While we were on the tour I stopped in front a picture and pointed and said, “That’s the man, that’s the man I was playing with in the backyard.”
