This happened to me about a year ago. I have lived in this house four about four and a half years.
One of the people on my street had a daughter who’s little girl was born with a heart defect. She lived most of her life in the hospital and I only saw her once before she died at the age of two. Soon after that some strange noises in the walls and attic were heard by me and my ex wife.
One night there was a thump on the wall behind our bed that was so loud it woke me up and I went outside to see what it was. My house is brick and this sounded like something hitting a piece of wood. As I stood there in my night clothes I realized the “thump” didn’t come from outside the house. The phantom noises continued but I kind of got used to it and never had any feelings of dread or fear.
One morning I was sleeping with my son in his room. He was about six at the time and the sun was just coming up. I was awake but still in bed and wishing I could fall back asleep. There was a wardrobe in the room that has a door that naturally swings open if its not latched. As I was watching the wardrobe door slowly closed and then swung back open again. I could not believe my eyes! I got up and played around with the door trying to figure out how it closed on its own. That was the only time I ever saw it happen.
I was working from home at the time and one day I was taking a quick shower before a customer arrived. As I was getting dressed the door bell rang so I hurried to the door. My customer had arrived but not before a couple of Jehovah’s witnesses got there first. So as they went on to spread the good news I attended to my customer. She is a very nice woman and we always talk while I fix her car. She asked me if my daughter was ok in the house by herself. She was four at the time and was in daycare. I said nobody is here today except me. She said the Jehovah’s witnesses asked if she was the Grandmother of the little girl in the window!I kind of shrugged it of at that moment but after she left I couldn’t stop thinking about it.Finally I couldn’t stand it any longer and the next day I called her back to make sure I heard her right, and I did.I have not seen”the little girl in the window”but some complete strangers, with no knowledge of any of the previous events did.
