Hello, my name is Amber. I am 24 years old and up until last year, I was very skeptical about ghosts and paranormal entities. But now, my whole view has changed… This is my 100% true ghost story.
I live in North Carolina, but in the hot summer of 2010, I went to visit my cousin in Maryland. It was chillier there, but pretty bearable. My cousin’s name was Lillian, but everyone always called her her Lilly. She was 23, and lived in a beautiful stone Victorian home. It was very spacious and comfortable, and had a nice wood-burning fireplace.
My first night there, Lilly told me that I could pick any room to sleep in, but told me not to sleep in the basement bedroom. I asked her why I couldn’t. She showed me all around the house, and the basement was very nice. It had soft carpeting, a big flat screen TV, and was very cozy. Why wouldn’t she want me there? She was a bit reluctant to say why, but eventually she spilled it. She told me that years ago before she moved in, another family lived there. They had two little daughters. One of the daughters slept in the basement bedroom.
One night while the little girl was sound asleep in bed, she mysteriously died. She wasn’t sick, and there were no signs of murder. The family was filled with grief, but also fear. They left the house a month after their daughter’s tragic death. Lilly had bought the house from them because they were selling it for a very low price. They told Lilly the whole story. Lilly said that she tried sleeping there once, but she kept hearing demon-like voices. They sounded as if from a small girl. After her story, I was a bit nervous to be in the house.
That night, I chose a bedroom next to Lilly’s. About halfway through the night, I decided that I couldn’t sleep. I was too curious about the basement bedroom. I quietly crept downstairs into the bedroom in the basement. It was warm and very cozy. I shut off the lights and sat on the bed, curious about the “voices”. About ten minutes passed when I started to hear tapping on the walls. Tapping, tapping, tapping… Then, I heard a hushed, raspy voice. It sounded like the voice of a young girl. It was saying abstract things that I couldn’t understand. They started getting louder and louder until I couldn’t take it anymore. I ran out of the room.
I left Lilly’s house the next morning before she woke up. I left her a not saying how sorry I was, but I couldn’t bear to be in that house.
Well, that’s my story… I hope you liked it. And remember, it is absolutely 100% true…

something in that basement cause the little girl died no matter how house is cozy and pretty but not let the look fooling you/people.
Oh wow. Well I hope Lilly is okay. It does sound like a very pretty house to live in but if she’s not feeling comfortable there, she should eventually move out in case something bad happens.
I’m just confused that you would go looking for the “demon” voices after you were told not to. If someone go looking for a demon then evil will find you.
Bad things happen to people who disrespect the dead, whether its a good spirit or a demon. you made the demon angry and left Lilly alone to deal with it.
I just hope a part of it didn’t follow you home…..
When people are told not to do things, they want to. Curiosity is a great thing. I would have checked them out too, but only if I had someone with me.
it probably is true but it seems like something is missing from your story.im sorry i dont know if i believe it.no offence.
maybe there was another demon there or something and thats wut killed the little girl. i think you should go back there and go into the bsement. u should take pics and videos down there and see if u find anything. u might find ghost orbs (if you dont know wut ghost orbs are, search them on the internet and look at some pics with orbs in them). if the orbs are black then yes it is a demon down there. if they are white, they are ok and they are protecting u from something. just dont dleep down there until u are sure what it is thats down there. if u hear or see anything in the videos, write about it on here and tell me wut its called and i will read your story. did u feel like something evil was down in the basement with u? how long has your cousin been living in that house? next time u go in that basement, write down everything u feel or see. like if u feel really sad or like u shouldnt be down there, stuff like that, write it down. and if u see anything really wierd or what u think is really weird, write it down. good luck!!!
It might be the little girl’s ghost. Are you sure it is demonic???????????
r u sure you’re telling the truth. u said the story is 100% true in the beginning and at the end of the story. I believe that ghosts, spirits, demons, angels and such exist and are real because I experienced them daily, but I have a hard time believing someone is telling the truth, if they have to keep saying it. u said “and remember, it’s absolutely 100% true…” i don’t know, it’s something about that that i’m just not feeling. the energy i get from that just feels like dishonesty. i could be wrong, maybe u are telling the truth, but if your lying, that’s wrong because there are people who actually experience these things. its not a joke. u make think it’s a joke until you actually do experience something.
you noticed that too huh.
Curiosity killed the cat. Man.. I believe all possesed houses should be demolished and then rebuilt
Demolishing houses doesn’t always rid evil Carlos. Unfortunetly it’s never a guarantee. In fact, renovating or even demolishing the house, will sometimes anger the spirit and make it even more dangerous.
carlos-do you think y=if you did that that they evil would still be there?you never know.
That sounds scary. There is evil in that house. I would tell Lilly family to sell the house. Maybe find out the real reason the girl died in that house research the house. Stay out of the basement. put a cross down there.
Possibly you could go back there and record the voices on a tape recorder or have Lilly record them so maybe you could see what they are saying. I really do believe your story.
