Can Satan Be Destroyed?

Do you think Satan will be ever destroyed? Is it possible at all?

  1. Hmmm. Victoria? Good question and one I think you could pose separately here, as I think you will get many different and varing answers and opinions! My self, I believe that God does not want to destroy Satan, being His first born. You see, I believe in God as an unconditionally loving Being, and therefore, I am more apt to believe that God is waiting for Satan to repent. If Satan does not, however, I am not sure what Gods intentions would be.

  2. Hi Victoria,

It depends on your point of view. The bible says Satan will be destroyed, or certainly contained and tortured forever, but personally, I dont think God is cruel, to me Satan will be returned to God and redeemed (become an angel again), one way or another, and become part of the greater whole all over again .. the same as the rest of us, and all of everything that is God, will.

We have to remember that Jesus taught that God wanted us to forgive our enemies.

    • Hi,personately I don t believe in Bible presentation, though Im supposed to be Christian, but don t claim myself as one So yes,I had been quite thinking about it the same way (he wont be destroyed) maybe even because there needs to be balance between good and evil, and also world would be too boring without temptations.. But I dont know,I quite doubt he would surrender..

I know that Im skipping from one question to another, but there was one dream, which I felt quite important and I dont want to forget it: I was living in the middle of the forest (small village) with some boy (I dont know him..)and we had found some door which were leading to somewhere but suddenly there appeared woman, and she was hunting us (didnt want us to open the door) ..what does it mean?? I doubt it was my past life although one never knows..but it felt so real..

      • Sadly, Victoria, humans tend to learn better through adversity .. so we need the challenges, and challengers, that can help us to find a better, and more loving, way of dealing with difficult situations.

I love the thought of the world being too boring without temptations LOL .. guess that’s why Eve chose to eat the apple? (ok, ok, so there’s no ‘eve’ and the apple is actually ‘fruit’ – there are bits of the bible that really do make me giggle). :-)

Your dream .. was the boy your brother or lover? You didn’t say your age in the dream. And a woman hunting you .. sounds very hansel and gretel to me (taking courage to defeat adversity) .. when did you have the dream and what was happening in your life at the time, that made you feel ‘hunted’?

        Love & Peace

        • Well he was nor my lover neither brother ,just unknown kid. We were about the age 8. And in those times I was quite finding myself and just happy from surroundings,so I dont know why I was feeling hunted..

But a lot more weird stuff happened to me these days.. Ok so this year Im going to high school for the first time (quite nervous from people and everything) and I had those dreams about finally sitting in the class and two weird girls in front of me ( typical “chicks” if you know what I mean..) and then yesterday I had a first in school and when I sat and saw the exact same two girls sitting in front of me I was like: WTF ??? (I swear I had never seen them before until that) I mean its weird.. and of course exactly like in my dream theyre two bitchs annoying me all the time.. But I just don t understand what was that dream..I mean how would I dream about them before I ever knew them? Was that warning????

          • I think you had a prophetic dream, Victoria. You saw the future, or a possible future. When that happens its also possible to change the outcome, and have people react differently to difficult situations. I wonder if that is one of the reasons why we have them.

            Love & Peace

    • Hi Ama

      I agree with you entirely!

  3. No. he could dissapear if we stopped fearing him.

  4. My opinion
As long as there is crime, rape, murder, alchol abuse, adultry, smoking, drugs, swaring,..ect. satan wil be strong and get stronger.
I say that if he could be destroyed it wont happen anytime soon now.
We as people on earth has to many sin and we don’t realy do anything about that.
We just say ou I wil stop next time but that next time will never come.
As long as we on earth is feeding him with sin he wil not go any were.
    It’s up to us

    • what you mentioned about sins like ” crime, rape, murder, alchol abuse, adultry, , drugs, swearing,..etc ” is right , but smoking is a sin too….LOL

      • LOl! Depends WHAT you’re smoking, I guess Manss …. hehehe!

The seven deadly sins are wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony.

Baring that in mind, may we should also add fat people to BekkieLassy’s list????

AJ – starting her diet, tomorrow ////

        • Dont forget – Playing video games too much, watching TV too much….. and on and on the list could go :)

        • Does KitKat count as a sin? I had one stick before 9.00am. Hmm…

          Love & Peace
Ama (who should also be on a diet).

          • Hi Ama

Its only a sin, if you’ve had two KitKats.

          • Thank you AJ, I feel truly relieved. :-D

(pssst – did you mean 2 sticks of a block, or 2 blocks .. I ate the whole 4 blocks of a king sized one over the day .. (glances nervously over her shoulder) LOL)

Only you and I could be discussing the ‘sin’ of chocolate in a Satan question site. LOL

            Love & Peace

          • Tee-Hee!!

But Ama, chocolate is one of the most deadliest of sins …..

[whispers back] – having just consulted the .. a-hem – [whispers even quieter] ‘oracle’ …. its OK! Only the consumption of 2 or more kingsize KitKats are considered to be expressing Gluttony. Phew!

So, munch and enjoy without fear of that bolt of lightening coming down from the Heavens to stike you on your bum!!

          • Thank you Oracle, thank you AJ, thank you God. (with suitable genuflections, cow-tows and forelock pulling). LOL

Exit stage left, laughing my head off. :-D

            Love & Peace

        • Believe only cigarette no more no less . Also don’t make me hopeless I love good foods and eat well is it gluttony ? if it is so please scratch it and mention another sin

          • LOL!

I’m not sure at exactly what point the innocent appreciation of God’s own Bounty (or, in Ama’s case, ‘KitKat – haha!) becomes concidered as the sin of ‘gluttony’,

Maybe, it is nothing more than enjoying “everything in moderation” and making sure you share your good food, rather than hogging it all for yourself??

Enjoy your good food and eat well. God would prefer you fit and healthy, I’m sure.

          • I love good food too Manss, but have moved on from KitKat to Cadbury Fruit and Nut chocolate. .. healthier, you see, with all that fruit and nut .. (hehe).

            Love & Peace

          • Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! (starts choking on coffee …)

          • Ama , it was only a humor , I don’t eat much and also i don’t go to the restaurant for choosing
a nice food I may eat a shish kebab every month or even a few month I remember the last time that I ate a pizza was last year (actually) . The best food that I eat a bit is pilau and chicken every week or lesser. the chocolate , Ice cream , pastry ( candy never) and similar seldom and also the kinds fruit each one may every week one or two. Anyway may food is not important and more and what I said to A.J was only a humor

          • Hi Manss,

I was joking too. That’s why I wrote (hehe) means to laugh .. in english anyway. And I put :-) s on things too. :-) And LOL means ‘laugh out loud’. But I do have a habit of taking something that I know is a joke and answering in a very serious way, while grinning to myself. I’m sorry I confused you.

            Love & Peace

        • HaHaHaHa……I hope your benediction and wish health and joy for you too

      • LOL. Any thing you make an adiction is wrong. Thats actually what I was trying to say.

  5. Hello Victoria and all,

First of all, forgive me, but i couldn’t help but laugh regarding what was said in regards to repentance for Satan or any of the other fallen angels for that matter. In order to get any answer having to do with God, we must look to His word to find out the truth otherwise we are just quessing. That being said, please allow me to use Scripture to provide an answer to your question. First of all, let’s look at what put Satan in his current situation:

“How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High. But you will be brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit.’ ” (Isaiah 14:12-15)

So basically in the verse above, Lucifer, now Satan, in his pride, proclaimed that he was going ascend above all the stars, that is, above all the other angels and proclaim himself to rule over creation and to put himself in the place of God. On top of that, Lucifer, now Satan, through his trafficing caused 1/3 of the angels of heaven to rebel against God with him (Rev.12:4,7-9).

Now keep in mind that, what God says, he will do, unless an exception goes along with what he says. If he doesn’t fulfill what he has said, it would make him out to be a liar. God is not a man to lie nor the Son of Man to repent. With that being said, the following is exactly what is going to happen with Satan once Jesus returns at the end of the age to set up his millennial kingdom:

“And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that anciend serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. Afer that, he must be set free for a short time.” (Rev.20:1-3)

As I said earlier, the verse above takes place after Jesus returns to the earth to set up his millennial kingdom, which is during the same thousand years that Satan is bound. And so during that thousand years mankind will, for the first time, be without the temptation of Satan and his angels (demons). It will be a thousand years of complete peace. Now, as you may have noticed, it says that after the thousands years has ended, he must be set free from the Abyss for a short time and the verse below shows what happens after he is set free:

” When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth–God and Magog– to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.” (Rev.20:7-9)

Remember, John is being shown a vision of the future, even beyond a thousand years from where we are now, which as Scripture states, will begin when the Lord returns at the end of the age. Notice that even after a thousand years without any temptation, mankind still turns against God and follows after Satan. The following verse shows Satan’s unchangable fate at the end of that thousand years:

“And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown in the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Rev.20:10)”

If we are to know the answers regarding God’s plans for this world and His promises for us, then we must read his word in order to find out what those are, otherwise we are just guessing. The word of God is the source of all truth and therefore, if we do not believe the word of God to be true, how can we say that we have faith?

To recap, Satan and his angels, are currently leading the whole world astray and is accusing the saints before God day and night in heaven (Rev.12;10). 3 1/2 years prior to the return of the Lord at the end of the age there ill be war in heaven between Michael and his angels and Satan and his, but they will not be strong enough and will finally be thrown out of heaven and restricted to the earth where he and his angels will unleash the full force of their hatred for God and mankind. At the end of that 3 1/2 years is when he will be locked up in the Abyss where he will remain for a thousand years. At the end of the thousand years he will be released and will go and gather people from all over the earth and they will surround Jerusalem where God rains fire and sulfur down upon them. Once that takes place, Satan and his angels as well, are then taken and thrown into the lake of fire where they will be tormented forever and ever.

I hope that the information above gives you a better understanding in regards to the question of whether Satan will be destroyed or not.

    Yours in Christ

God had a plan to redeem fallen man even before the world began, and that through the shed blood of His Son Jesus for those who will receive him. But as for Satan and his angels, there is nowhere in Scripture that would support that God has ever offered salvation through repentance for fallen angels. I believe that the reason for this could be because they were already there in God’s presence and saw his glory and therefore, salvation through faith would not work for them. Furthermore, what has been written in regards to Satan and his angels punishment cannot be changed and that because it is already written. Long story short, Satan, his angels and all of mankind who rebel against God and die in that state will spend eternity in the lake of fire, also called the second death.

    • Correction: In the seventh paragraph it should read “Gog and Magog.”

    • Hi Ahwatukee

“First of all, forgive me, but i couldnt help but laugh regarding what was said in regards to repentance for Satan… ”

Please remember: just because you do not believe what others have written to be the truth, it does not automatically make what they believe to be an untruth.

Thankfully, God is far more forgiving, compationate and tolerant than we can ever hope to be – even if we really try hard to follow His example.

      • Hi Aj,

I appreciate your response, but I when it comes to the matters of God, then we must look to the word of God for the answers, otherwise it is just hear-say, that is, we are just going by what others have said or by our own feelings. As you said, “Yes, God is far more forgiving, compationate and tolerant than we can ever hope to be,” but that does not change his word. I have been studying God’s word for 40 years and that is why I provided what he has to say about the current subject. As I said in the previous post, when God writes something in his word, it must take place. Here is a good example, remember when those sent by the chief priests came to arrest Jesus and Peter took his sword and cut off the right ear of the High priests servant? Jesus said, “put up your sword. Don’t you know that I am able to call twelve legions of angels and they would be here presently, but then how would the scriptures be fulfilled?” What Jesus was saying was that, he could have stopped the process of his crucifixion any time he wanted to, but then all that was written about him being crucified in the law and in the Psalms would not have come to pass, not only that, but we would all still be in our sins. My point is that, what God has written is exactly what must take place.

In regards to Satan and his angels, if they were not to go into the lake of fire as it is written of them, then God’s word would not be true and we could not rely on it, and the same would go for anything else that did not come true that was written in his word. If that were to happen, it would make God a liar. This is how I and other Christians can be cofident in God’s word when for example they say that according to the Mayan calandar that the earth is going be destroyed by 2012. Well, based on the information that God has provided, I know that the earth is not going to be destroyed in that manner and in fact we have another thousand years to go after Jesus returns to the earth before that happens.

God has provided salvation through faith in Jesus Christ to mankind, but according to God’s word, Satan and his angels have no opportunity to repent nor to receive forgiveness, for the offer is just not on the table. The angels who sinned by taking wives from among mankind (Gen.6:1-2) wrote a petition of prayer to give to Enoch to read to the Lord, God said, go back and tell the angels, the watchers of heaven, that angels ought to pray for men and not men for angels and that they shall receive no mercy for what that have done. Furthermore, if Satan and his angels were not to be punished, then what Jesus said below would make no sense and would be untrue:

“Depart from me , you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

Though this verse is directed at the goats of the sheep and goat separation, we can deduce by the above verse that the lake of fire was created for Satan and his angels. To be sure, if Satan and his angels were to be forgiven and not go to Hell as it is written of them, then those who have rejected Jesus would also escape and that because Satan is the one who originally caused mankinds fall. And if no one is going to Hell, then there would be no need for salvation and therefore, no need for Jesus to have come and shed his blood to make atonement for us. We must have faith in what God has to say about any given subject, as it is part of our faith. The bible that we have has the true words of God, because God said them and had men write them through his Holy Spirit. If we cannot trust in his word, then there is nothing that we can trust in that he has written, including his promises of forgiveness and salvation. Yes, God is forgiving, but he is not going to disregard his own word. He is righteous and he is just and what he has written, he will perform.

The fate for Satan and his angels has been sealed, for they themselves sealed it when they rebelled against God.

        • and?

The scriptures refer to both Jesus and Lucifer as being the Morning Star. Taken literally and this would infere that Jesus IS Lucifer.

Please, open your heart and let God in. The Word Of God (Bible) has been written and interpreted by man, not God. God’s word comes in many forms, spoken as well as written but, equally, it can so easily be twisted to suit and arguement. Satan, for example, is very good at that trick!!

God is all about love, not hatered. Let Him in and he will show you the truth.

          • Hi A.J.,

First of all, yes, I agree with you, God is a loving and merciful God, but he is also a God of His word, that is, what he has written, he has, is, and will perform. What I am saying is that, though He is a God of love, his love does not make his word obsolete. If we cannot trust in what God has written, then we are lost and that because according to what you are saying, God could change his word anytime he wants, all in the name of his love. In that case we could not trust in what his word has to say. Therefore, since God’s word already states without question, that Satan and his angels are to be thrown into the lake of fire where they will be tormented forever and ever, then that must take place. Just in the same way that the word of God says, “Whoever has the Son has eternal life, but whoever does not have the Son will not see life and the wrath of God rests on him.” Therefore, for those who do not receive Christ into their lives, God’s love is not going to make what he said earlier obsolete. God’s love and mercy can be received, but on his terms. It’s not just a free for all! God’s love is that he sent His Son into the world so that whoever believes in him will be foregiven for sins and have eternal life, but for those who don’t, then there are eternal consquences. You need to read God’s word and believe what is written. And as far as what you said below,

“The Word Of God (Bible) has been written and interpreted by man, not God. Gods word comes in many forms, spoken as well as written but, equally, it can so easily be twisted to suit and arguement.

This is what God’s word says in regards to the authenticity of His word:

            Galatians 1:11
I wanted you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

            2 Peter 1:20-21
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

            2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

So you can see by the Scripture above, that men wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spririt and because it is God’s word we can trust in exactly what it says. It is when men teach and twist what has been written is where the problem is. My advise to you is to read the word of God and believe what you are reading. As I have already said, the fate of Satan and his angels has already been written and therefore, if you are not believing what is written, then you are just not believing in the word of God as the truth. You can’t sweep under the rug the truth of what God has already said regarding any given suject and make it dissappear by overriding it with the love of God.

“And the devil, who deceived them was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Rev.20:7-10)

The verse above is word for word, so what part of that don’t you understand? My point is that, you can’t read the verse above and then say that because of the love of God, that isn’t going to take place and that because it is there in black and white. Tell me, do you think that the antichrist and false prophet are also going to be forgiven? Did you even read any of the Scriptures that I have listed? You better anchor yourself to what God’s word says or else it is easy to be deceived. Satan is God’s enemny and therefore, for those of us who belong to God, Satan is also our enemy as well. To feel outherwise towards Satan is to be an enemy of God.

My advise to you is to read his word and take to heart what is written in his word.

          • If you truly believe the scripture’s are a true reflection of Gods words, and not man’s interpretation of God’s words through millenia, then your own belief of the Truth blatantly proves that God does indeed change His mind constantly.
I, however, prefer a more personal connection to God though mediation, prayer, conversing with the Holy Spirits Of Gods Light and learning about God on a more intimate level rather than through group teaching – such as a conventional religion. I do not take the Bible as the out and out, unquestionable truth, simply because it is so contradictory.
That said, I would not laugh and scorn the posts you make on this subject because you are entitled to your beliefs. However, I do think it un-Gody of you to openly ridicule others on here for their beliefs as you did in the OP of this thread with your ‘.. but i couldnt help but laugh regarding what was said in regards to repentance for Satan…’ comment. What makes you think you have authority over anyone else on here, when it comes to God’s intention? I’ll tell you – you have none!

        • Hi Ahwatukee

Please excuse my butting in, but I would like to know which bible you are reading, because I cannot find any quote of Jesus’ in the Garden of Gethsemane where he mentions calling angels, one or legions. Yes, in Luke 22:50 the ‘slave of the high born priest’ lost his ear, but all Jesus said (from the original Hebrew) is “No more of this!” (verse 51), and then he healed the man’s ear. No mention of angels.

And then you go on to quote what Enoch did, but he’s not in the Christian Bible. So which ‘Word’, Christian church, or group of teachings are you speaking from?

          Love & Peace

          • Hi Alma,

In answer to your question, try Matthew’s version for a little more detail:

“Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put a my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?” (Mt.26:47-54)

Here is in the New American Standard and the KJV:

            New American Standard Bible (1995)
“Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

            King James Bible
Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

If you are a studier of God’s word, then you know that you must read all of the gospels in order to get all of the details and a fuller picture on any given subject. A good example of this would be the event where Jesus met the man who was possessed with thousands of demons collectively called “Legion.” You would not know that the demons were begging Jesus not to send them into the Abyss unless you were to read Luke’s version found in Lk.8:30-31, for Matthew and Mark do not mention the word Abyss.

            To all posters,

My purpose for commenting on certain stories was not to offend, but to reveal the truth in regards to who is really behind paranormal activity. It is Satan’s and his angels intention to deceive mankind into believing that human spirits are the cause for these activities so that, more and more people will begin to call upon them. And because God does not allow human spirits to wander on the earth after death, then when people attempt to contact spirits, it is these demonic beings that they are actually calling out to in ignorance. This is why we are seeing an increase in spiritual activity and that because people are becoming more involved in using Ouija boads, holding seances and more and more people are now ghost hunting.

As soon as a person calls upon a spirit, regardless of it being out of ignorance, they are opening a door which allows demonic beings to interact with the living. Not only that, but when people act as mediums (calling on spirits) it keeps them separated from God, because these types of things are sin and are forbidden for us to be involved in, unless of course we are casting them out of someone in order to set them free. But to deliberately seek them out is forbidden by God and can cause those who are doing the spirtual seeking much spiritual and physical harm, trouble that you just don’t want!

In any case my apologize if I offended anyone, as I have said what I wanted to say and so I will leave you with your belief of human beings as the culprits. As for me, I know who they are and it seems that, as usual, their ability to deceive mankind is alive and well.

            Yours in Christ

          • Hi Ahwatukee, :-)

First up, my name is A M A. I don’t misspell my own name. I know its unusual, but its real.

I’m very pleased to know you’ve spent 40 years researching the Bible, even from the viewpoint of its unerring accuracy as God’s Word. I love the book too. I do have one question though .. are you so uncertain of your reception here that you won’t use your real name? You might notice some of us actually do. I guess we aren’t worried about other people’s opinions of us being on sites where our churches ban us from playing? And I should tell you we are not looking for missionaries here. Some of the people who comment here have run away from the church because of its judgmental nature, or because they get no help there. My personal experience with ministers has been in the latter. My life has always been a little unusual, and when I asked for help from various church ministers .. well, being condemned to hell never was a good answer to ‘please could you bless my house, I have a ghost’ (or a few) .. which is why people end up coming to me instead, I talked to God and was given a few solutions – and have been helping people with paranormal for the past 30+ years.

In the meantime, thank you. :-) I did go and read Matthew’s gospel. It raises more questions, such as why the other gospel writers, who were supposedly there in the garden with Jesus at the time, didn’t mention such an important statement of Jesus’ own divinity, and his true power and sacrifice for us all. Everyone was awake at the time, so they can’t say they slept through it. No, it is possible it was added in afterwards, to confirm Jesus as God’s son, by someone with good intentions.

From that you will know I am not a true believer in the Bible being God’s ‘Word’ unadapted over time. Our Theology degree wasn’t based on any one set of beliefs (apart from Christian, of course), we were asked to view the Bible as it is, created from many sources from thousands of years before Christ, proved changed over the past two millenia. As I said somewhere else in various bible discussions, the head lecturer told us that the study of Theology will either make or break your faith. Since my Faith isn’t based in a book, but in God and Jesus, it didn’t change it – but it did make me very cranky with the early church Fathers who changed so much of the writings, and removed so many of the original ‘books’ from the Canon, to suit their own political ends.

Your opinion of the Catholic church and mine seem very similar – but since they are the foundation of every Christian faith, as does our Bible originates from them, it only goes to confirm we should not trust it as the ‘unerring word of God’. (hmm.. which God exactly?)

The trouble with the ‘truth’ and ghosts and spirits, is people actually don’t know what the truth really is – they can only react from their beliefs and experiences. I know some churches believe that all ghosts and spirits are demons .. which makes Samuel (1 Kings) a demon rather than a ‘divine spirit’ as my bible translates the Hebrew, but in my experience, and I’ve had plenty, the difference in energy between a ghost and a demon – there is no comparison, and no similarities. And ghosts do roam the world, again in my own experience, I have ‘rescued’ (sent into heaven) people from Africa, China, America (native americans, whites and negros (no offence meant to anyone)), also English and French people etc .. and I am in Australia, and the rescue work we did, and do, (as a group, and as individuals) happened there.

I agree that people should not call up ghosts or spirits just to talk to them. It’s not a fun game. And it can cause all sorts of problems, including obsession and demonic problems .. but, so many children are being born now, and have been born over the past 20 years who have this ‘gift’, and if we don’t train them, or advise them, or help them, who will? I don’t believe these people are instantly condemned by God because they are born that way, and God creates all of us the way we are .. so why would he create those he would instantly send to hell?

I think that’s enough for now. I have to get on with the day.

            Wishing you a great one,
            Love & Peace

        • Hi Ahwatukee,

AJ, might not be reading your quotes, but I certainly am, which is why I asked which bible you are reading from, because it doesn’t match mine. Mine is the New Oxford Annotated Bible, which in 2006, was the most up-to-date and accurate translation into english that theologians used to teach us at Unversity. I also use the Interlinear Bible, which has all three languages written out in it, so you can compare it line by line.

The problem with ‘deducing’ anything from the written Word (about goats and sheep) is that we are putting our opinions onto what is said, rather than just letting the text be what it is. I am also guilty of that at times, and it can be easy to become mistaken, when the translation of the bible to english doesn’t actually follow what is written in the Greek, or someone adds their own interpretations, and extra comments, to the book.

Just to start with – Theologicans believe Revelation was written as a commentary on Nero’s treatment of the Christians at the time. It’s a vision of what was going to happen to him, as the ‘great satan’, and his identity was proved through gematria – the number of the ‘beast’ is 666, according to the bible, but the number for the devil/satan is actually 616 .. and Nero’s gematria’s number is 666.

It is always interesting to me that churches teach that God loves unconditionally .. as long as you do it ‘his’ way. The two comments contradict themselves. To love unconditonally means that God loves us all anyway, regardless of our behaviour. God created us all with the capacity to learn. If the only thing we can learn is how to do everything God wants, his way, all the time, then God must want people to be murderers, rapists, and suicides. Oh yes, we can ‘blame’ some other outside source for our choices, but personally, I am responsible for the world I create around me, not the devil or satan, or any other demonic being.

Yes, like AJ, I truly believe God loves us all unconditionally, or I would not be alive today. He, through JC, redeemed me, or perhaps I chose to redeem myself .. but God ALLOWED that to happen .. or did he? No, he created me to grow and learn, the same as he created all of humanity to do the same, and grow and learn I do .. through mistakes, and right actions, and through the love of God that gave us this world to grow and learn on.

We have a book of instructions which is confusing, contradictory, has been proved to be changed profoundly over the ‘millenia’ (not one, but two so far) since it was created, and the only thing in there that makes any profound sense, to me, is Jesus’ words of his Creator .. Love one another as I have Loved you. The rest, and perhaps even that, is human constructed.

And yes, all the lost souls are forgiven, false prophets included .. and there have been many of them. Revelation only mentions one? So which one is bad enough to be the ‘only’ one in the fire?

          Love & Peace

          • Hi Ama

My Bible doesn’t match them in either … which is why there’s little point in chewing the fat over it!

          • Hello Alma,

            You said:
“You wrote that satan has already been destroyed, but how can he have been if he, and his followers, are still tormenting people. So either he has .. or he hasnt?”

I never said that Satan has already been destroyed. I said that his judgment has already been determined and written and that can’t be changed. He and his angels are alive and well on planet earth. But as for the fate of him and the fallen angels is concerned it has already been determined and written, which is the lake of fire (Mt.26:41;Rev.20:10)

            You said:
“Please explain how Padre Pio, and a variety of other good catholic saints could be so harassed by demons over their whole lives if Satan couldnt harm them? ”

The Roman Catholic system is a whole nother issue, which I can’t go into on this site. I will ask you this question though: “How can the so-called headquarters of the church of Christ have a 13th century B.C. pagan obelisk used originally for phallus and sun worship be standing out in the middle of St.Peter’s square?” As far as I am concerned, any religious system that believes that Jesus’ sacrifice did not atone for all sin is not of Christ.

The problem that we have today is related to the following:

“For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. (2 Tiim.4:3-4)

            You said:
“However, Satan, was never an archangel, nor is Lucifer .. another name for the same being.”

“You are correct and this is also what I believe in that, Satan’s name was Lucifer before his rebellion and was anointed as the “Guardian Cherub.” He was also adorned with every kind of precious gem. (Isa.14:12-16; Ezk.28:11-19)

By the way, I also have the Interlinear, Lexicon, Strong’s, the ablility to crossrefernce Scripture and the ability to check parallel verses for all of the major translations, as well as the actual Hebrew and Greek texts, which I use daily.

            You said:

I live in the book of Revelation and have done so for 40 years. The book of revelation is divided up into three parts as demonstrated by what Jesus told John:

            1. Write what you have seen.
            2. What is now.
            3. What will take place later.

The “What is now” is represented by the letters to the seven churches, which also represents the entire church age. Once the resurrection and catching away takes place that event will end the “Now” and the world will begin the “What must take place later.” That being said, we are still in the “Now” and that becasue we are still in the church age. Chapter 4 and on focuses on the “What must take place later” which is still future and is the details regarding the day of the Lord represented by the seven seals, trumpets and bowl judgments, which is God’s wrath being poured out upon the unrepentent, Christ rejecting inhabitants of the earth.

Furthermore, we know that Revelation was not written in regards to Nero, because he is dead and Revelation has Jesus returning in Rev.19:11:20-21 and he has the beast and the false prophet thrown into the lake of fire and therefore, the time of the beast is directly related to the return of Jesus at the end of the age. When Jesus returns at the end of the age Scripture states that “Every eye shall see him” (Rev.1:7). I haven’t seen him have you? Johovah’s witnesses would tell you that he returned invisably in 1914 and has been ruling from the watchtower bible and tract society, but then that would negate every eye seeing him when he comes and also the prophecy of him ruling with an “Iron Rod.” The events surrounding the beast and the false prophet and the wrath of God are still future, but are coming quickly.

            You said:

Oh yes, we can blame some other outside source for our choices, but personally, I am responsible for the world I create around me, not the devil or satan, or any other demonic being.”

First of all, God’s love is not unconditional, but is dependant upon having faith on his Son Jesus Christ, for the word of God says, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life for God’s wrath remains on him” (John 3:36). Therefore, as you can see, God’s love is dependant on believing in his Son. Another example of this can be found in the following Scripture:

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.” (John 15:1-6). In this verse Jesus speaking to believers as branches and so God’s love is conditional as long as you remain in Jesus, otherwise that branch can be thrown into the fire to be burned. Does Jesus not say that, “On that day many will try to enter into eternal life, but won’t be able to.” “?” Salvalion is not a free-for-all! You must acknowledge the one who made atonement for you and you must continue in the same faith that you had when you first came to him. If you go back into the flesh, that is, the sinful nature, then a person is on his way to death and is accumulating a multitude of sins and that because your are not keeping your part of the covenant which is fatih.

There are those who believe that “Once saved always saved,” which is erroneous, for how could the following Scripture be true?:

“My brothers, if one of you should wander away from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: Whosever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.” (James 5:19)

In the verse above, James is speaking in regards to “Brothers,” that is, “Believers” and if any of them should wander away from the truth they are on their way to death and are accumulating sins and that because once a person has gone back to wilfully living according to the sinful nature, they are no longer remaining in Christ. Regarding this John said: “If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness we lie and do not live by the truth.” (1 John 1:6)

Therefore, the condition of God’s love is given by believing in his Son whom he sent and remaining in him from faith to faith. Anyone that is not having faith in Jesus does not fall under God’s love, but remains under his wrath and that becasue he has not believed in the Son of God. Only those who are in a faith covenant with God through the shed blood of his Son Yeshuah Hamashiach (Jesus Christ), will be saved. Unconditional does not mean that everyone and his brother are saved whether they like it or not. They must acknowledge Jesus as Lord, which shows that God’s love is conditional.

            Yours in Christ

          • You know me by now AJ, I love a good debate. LOL

            Love & Peace

          • Hello again Ahwatukee,

I beg your pardon. It was not you who made the comment about Satan, it was JK. I am sorry.

Is your answer to Padre Pio, and other God fearing people, being tormented by demons because they are part of the Catholic church? It wouldn’t surprise me, but it doesn’t explain why members of other churches also suffer, unless its what I said earlier about our foundations all belonging to the Catholic religion originally? And how do the members of your church live with this problem? Do the Catholics ‘not’ believe in atonement .. I didn’t find that among their teachings when I was doing my research? Perhaps I was not digging deep enough – although Athanasius was a very interesting character for my assignment on Atonement.

Lucifer – we were taught that he was a Bishop of the early church, who annoyed another Bishop and suddenly found himself in the bible as a nasty character. And it’s fascinating what you can find on the internet this doesn’t talk about bishops, but certainly describes where the name Lucifer comes from – a mistranslation of the Hebrew by Jerome. He might exist now as a devil, but he didn’t before Satan. And more (this is not really for you Ahwatukee, but other people read the sites and I like to give them things to think about).

Yes, I have my Lexicon and Strongs, and 13 different translations of the Christian bible .. all of them different from each other. The most amusing is the ‘extended’ bible – and reintrepretations of most of the others can either be alarming, or amusing. And the King James versions are recognised as not being good translations of the original languages. Given all of that, you will perhaps understand how saying the ‘Bible’ is the unerring word of ‘God’ is impossible. Which unerring version do we choose?

And lastly, having stood in the presence of God and been loved profoundly and unconditionally, although I was a ‘sinner’ (to use your term) in so many ways, I will never believe that God loves conditionally. A person cannot experience that LOVE and NOT be changed profoundly. He loves every one of his creations equally .. every one of them .. all the humans, all the angels and their opposites, all the elemental beings of his universe, and the rest, otherwise none of us would exist .. we all break the rules too regularly.

            Wishing you a gorgeous day,
            Love & Peace

      • Hi AJ,

I agree with you to that God is a loving and forgiving God but, His awesome mercy, grace, and forgiveness only come through repentence of sin and cleansing by Christ sacificial blood. Repentence meaning turning from that sin and following Him. Forgiveness from God is conditional and the conditions are simple. You must know the Son before you know the Father, once you know the Son you know the Heavenly Father. We must believe that Christ’s is who He said He is and has done what He said He has done for us, that allows us to come into the presence of almighty God. With out the faith in Christ and repentence of sin there can be no forgiveness. Also remeber God is far above satan and satis nowhere near His equal, satan was an arc angel and he himself is the only one that has ever exalted him any higher than that. Arc Angel Michael is his equal. God does control the activity of satan in the respect of how far he can go in his quest to take as many souls to Hell as possible.

        • Hi JK

I am not a Christian ….. but never the less, I still do believe in and worship God. To me, God and Jesus are two seperate elements. One is the Father and the creator; the other, a great prophet and very wise man, who showed the Jewish people another way to find God.

No one HAS to follow Christ in order to be pleasing to God – being a ‘servant’ of God is not about a singular religion, nor a single road to God. Doing your level best for Him in His name, with whatever His asks of you, is what pleases God – regardless if it is in the name of Christianity or not. After all, actions speak far louder than words.

I agree with you regards God still having control over Satan and his fallen.

          • Hello again AJ,

            You said:

What do you think about the following verse?:

This verse is God the Father speaking in regards to His Son, Jesus”
“In the beginning , O Lord you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same and your years will never end.” (Hebrews 1:10-12)

The verse above shows that Jesus created the heavens and the earth. And what do you make of the following verse:

Again, God the Father speaking in regards to His Son, Jesus:

“But about the Son he says, ” Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” (Hebrews 1:8-9)

Hmmmm….. God the Father calling His Son God.

            And how about this one:

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all thing by his powerful word.” (Hebrews 1:3)

            And this one:

I could go on showing Scripture after Scripture that Jesus is also God, but i’d be typing all day. The Lord our God is One God.

            Yours in Christ

          • Hi A.J.,

            You said:
“No one HAS to follow Christ in order to be pleasing to God ”

What do you think about the following Scipture?

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.” (John 3:35)

As you can see by just this one verse, believing in Jesus is manditory for eternal life and to gain access to God the Father. The reason that we need to have faith in Jesus is because he is the One who shed his blood for us. Furthermore, since Jesus is the only mediator between man and God the Father, then who would be making intersession for you to the Father when you sin as Christian?

In the Jewish temple, between the Holy place and the Holy of Holies, there was a thick curtain which separated God from the people. Only the high priest could go into the Holy of Holies and that only once a year. If anyone else entered that room, God would kill him where he stood and that because God cannot be in the presence of sin. Regarding this, when Jesus was on the cross and he gave up his spirit, that curtain was ripped in two from top to bottom. God did this by signifying that the people now had direct access to him through his Son. Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father as our high priest making intersession for us directly to the Father. So you see, without Jesus, no one has access to God the Father. His righteous blood is our atonement for sin and therefore, no one has access to the Father except through the Son. The shedding of the blood of animals performed by Israel, which was instituted by God, was pointing to the sacrifice that Jesus would ultimately make once and for all, but you have to have faith in him in order to enter into a covenant with God.

I hope that you will take the time and put in some effort into studying his word to find out the truth, because you can’t guess at salvation, as your eternal life is on the line. Therefore, you want to be sure about what you believe in and the only way that you can do that is to read his word for yourself and stop listening to all of the false teachers and their teachings. This is why whenever I quote Scripture, I also include the book, chapter and verse so that others can read it for themselves and not just take my word for it.

            Yours in Christ

          • Hi Ahwatukee

I appreciate you are trying to ‘save my soul’ here, but … I assure you … my soul is perfectly safe with God. I have God in my heart and in my life. There is no need for anyone to try and convert me to their religious beliefs – I already have my own Faith and am perfectly comfortable with the path I have chosen in order to be with God. Just as you are comfortable with your path to be with God.

Thanks for all your efforts though.

  6. Satan has a permission from god and god has allowed him to be free until a specific time. when that time be finished , that is to say the world lifetime reach to the end the Satan,s lifetime will be finished too , so as long as one human is alive on the earth Satan will be alive too after that human is dead and that permission be canceled the respite of Satan will be finished and he will dead

    • Hello Manss,

Just an FYI, angels never die and neither do people. Once a person comes into this world their spirits/souls live for ever and everyone is eventually resurrected. It is what a person does with Jesus that determines their destination, eteral life or the lake of fire. The fallen angels will not cease to exist, but will be thrown into the lake of fire and be tormented forever and ever just as God’s word says.

      • Hello ahwatukee

it will come a time that all angel even archangels will dead and god take their soul all and who that remain in universe will be only god. I had heard at that time clouds appear on sky , the rain pelted down , plants will grow and trees fructify (as usual ) but there is not anyone on earth to use those. At that time there will be not exist anyone , no in earth and no in all universe except god . Then god say ” whose is the domination ” then he himself reply ” belonged unique , all-powerful god “. This condition will continue until 40 years then resurrection will happened.

  7. Victoria, I am not really sure what your world view is in framing this question. I would think that 99.9% of the folks that would here this question would think it framed in the Judeo-Christian Faith, since satan was an angrl of God that was cast out of Heaven because of his jealousy and his pride that drove him to want to be God Himself. So I am going to answer your question Biblicly and from a Christian world view. Number one the first misconception is that God and satan are on equal ground and that they are arch enemies. This is definiately unbiblical and untrue and just something someone made up. Satan hates God anything to do with God, and all humans (good or bad). There is God the Father, Jesus, who was God come to Earth and God’s son, and is equal with God just as the Holy Spirits, they are all three God and all three make up God, thuss the Trinirty. Satan was just an arc angel, his arch rival and equal is the Arc Angel Michael. I hope this make it easier to understand. God is an enemey of Satan, but they are not equal in power or any other way. Now as for satan, he has already been destroyed but the final blow has not been dealt and will not be until God Himself gives the order. When Jesus Christ (God come to earth to live as a man) died on the cross *He did not have to, He was God on earth and could have ended the whole thing there, but He loved us enough to give Himself as a once and for all sacrifice for all of us. If we claim His sacrifice as our then satan has no claim over us. If we do not claim Christ sacrifice and we do not believe that He was God on earth and that He did what He said He did out of love for all of us, then we are of the world and not of God and being of the world is being of satan. So for all believers past and present who have claimed Christ sacrifice for themselves and followed Christ, satan has no claim over them unless they renounce their claim in Christ and subsequently satan is already defeated in every Believer’s life. So why is satan still around, well Jesus is coming back to establish Heaven on earth and satan will be cast into the lake of fire, abyss, somewhere that he cannot get out along with all the demons and fallen angels. Until then the battle between satan or evil and good is over every soul that is in a person who is still living. When you die it is too late to make a decision for Christ, so that soul is bound to hell. If one makes a decision to claim Christ’s sacrifice for themselves and follow Christ even on their death bed will spend eternity in Heaven. That is what being saved means. I have heard so many people say, what am I being saved from? Well here is your answer, you are being saved from the clutches of satan, if your reject Christ you are rejecting God and chosing satan, whether you consciously know it or not and that is the way satan like. So can satan be destroyed , yes he already is as far as my life is concerned and he will be ultimately destroyed upon Christ’s return. If you have not claimed Christ’s sacrifice as yours, now is the time to do it. Like no other period in time before since Christ death, burial, and ressurrection have so many theologians and others believed that Christ return is eminate. Make the decision now.

    • Hello JK, I always love when you write. It leads to such interesting thoughts. :-)

You know that the trinity was never actually specifically mentioned in the bible, don’t you? It is another one of those human extrapolations, or perceptions, of what they ‘think’ the people who wrote the books, and the later editors, actually might have been talking about.

You wrote that satan has already been destroyed, but how can he have been if he, and his followers, are still tormenting people. So either he has .. or he hasn’t? From experience Satan is just one of the many demons that float around, he’s not the leader of the pack, so yes, he could have been destroyed, but no demon, or angel, is destroyed completely, and since so many people believe in ‘him’, thanks to the Christian churches complete obsession with demons, he’s still around. However, Satan, was never an archangel, nor is Lucifer .. another name for the same being.

You said – Satan has no claim over humanity unless the person renounces Jesus. Please explain how Padre Pio, and a variety of other good catholic saints could be so harassed by demons over their whole lives if Satan couldn’t harm them? And then there are the good catholic, and other christian groups, people that I know who are harassed by demons today, and no amount of praying over them, or exorcisms, is helping them? And no, they have not denied Christ. How does that happen?

If it is too late, when you die, to decide you want to side with Christ, why is it the catholic church teaches that a person can be redeemed after they die?

      Thank you. :-)
      Love & Peace

  8. Will Satan be destroyed? Yes. Thats what I believe. I understand this is a forum with a lot of different people with different beliefs. My beliefs is that Satan will be destroyed as it was the first prophecy recorded in the Bible, that the seed will bruise you (Satan) in the head. Its just hard for me to believe that God wants his people to suffer in a world controlled by Satan. Especially when it was Gods original purpose for man to make the entire earth a paradise as it was in the Garden of Eden. He wanted us to enjoy life, and live in peace.

    • Hello Social – D

I think it is suspect that we think god wanted his people be controlled by Satan, no it is not so. when human was created by god Satan did arise because of jealousy to human .He believed he was better than Adam and believed God has insult him due to that creation .He displayed his enmity without any secretion God angrily cursed him forever but Satan requested god a respite and requested god don’t torture him during that respite then asked God allow him to tempt human. It was like a request of god about doing a duel against Adam (human) so god allowed him but told he will stow hell of him and his followers. Therefore Satan get a permission of god for a time to fight with Human
certainly you ask : why god assented with Satan requesting – It was like a war between Satan and god about Adam .god had created Adam with a great and heavenly soul but Satan was claiming( indirectly) that Adam is a lowly and unworthy existence and god was going to prove other than it, because he had presented to Adam a thing that had never presented to any existence even angels and it was ” wisdom” . Beside, god promised that he would talk human and is sent down heavenly signs , statements and lows by prophets and messengers to be a sure and right guidance for human against Satan’s tempt and traps

      • To manss,
Certain areas of your comments I differ. For example I dont belief god intended for mankind to be controlled Satan. I dont think we are controlled by Satan, but more influenced. We all have free will, and can decide how we want to live our life.
I do belief Satan is jealous, but not of humans. Hes jealous of God, and wants his right to rule.
I dont believe Satan got permission from God to tempt mankind. The incident with Job was a onetime thing to prove a point. We serve God out of love, not because proves us with wealth and a comfortable life.
        well thats it.
thank you now- bye bye then

        • Hello Social_D again

It is only a discussion and we only are arguing based on our opinion therefore I don’t want
convince you to be agree with all my comment but I feel I have to express what I know in this paranormal site and if I don’t do this what would be the meaning of discussion ? and I must be mute or like a statue. so listen please ….
God is not comparable with none of his creatures that Satan can greed about his location and ruling. Satan can’t scrape his head without god’s allowing so how he can think about rule of universe !! He is so much small to think about such great and impassible idea. He know and is aware about all-powerful god’s pride but he suspected about god’s justice and management and thus became rebel . He was the leader of angel during praying to god in heaven and thought he is the best creature about god but when god created Adam
and commanded all angel to genuflect against Adam Satan became freaked out and abstained this action and told god that he is better than Adam because of hard jealous and enmity . anyhow explanation of this occurrence is not possible for me now. previously I sent a part of that to this website ( but at that time my English was not very good and I couldn’t explain it well and right) but I will try send it in another comment again

          Be well and Juiceful

          • Hi SD and Manss,

In my opinion, before JC saved us we were ‘controlled’ by Satan – why else did JC need to do what he did. After the crucificion we had our free will back. Now Satan can only ‘influence’ us, and only if we allow it. That’s the joys of free will, but you need to be of ‘sound mind and body’ to handle the struggle, when its aimed directly at you (everyone). Why do we allow it .. because its easier to be bad than good, to put it in the simplest terms. The rules aren’t that strict, but they do require commitment, and often struggle .. to maintain, and our egos demand attention and feeding, while our hearts want us to be humble and loving – in a society that thrives on greed. The meek will not be inheriting anything, if the strong can grab it first.

Also in my opinion, and from experience, Satan is definitely jealous of God’s love of humanity. Satan knows it cannot BE God, but it believes it can draw God’s attention to itself by harming what God LOVES. This is very twisted logic. It wants God’s love and attention all to itself, it doesn’t want to share, it doesn’t want to remain hidden away. It craves its moment in the Light, when God will see it again as ‘perfect’ because all other truly ‘perfect’ beings will have been removed from God’s sight. And it doesn’t care who it harms to create this.

Don’t play with the devil, people, it does not LOVE any created being .. not even itself, but in its own twisted way it is still an angel, and still loves God.

            Love & Peace

          • Understand, its difficult for me believe that logic. Satan is jealous of mankind because we have all of Gods attention. Theres no biblical backing to it. Its sounds more like your opinion. If you provide accounts in the bible, or examples of this, maybe it would make sense to me.

          • Hi SD,

I know its hard for some people to believe that God loves us all individually, and ‘knows’ each of our hearts and treasures each of us, but He does. Psalm 139:1-18

Don’t forget Jesus words ‘Love one another as I have loved you‘. John 13:34 and Mark 13:29-31 etc. He didn’t say ‘I will only love the ones that love me’. Think of the story of the good Samaritan Luke 10:30-37 It could be interpreted that Jesus meant us to love everybody, regardless of their faith. Looks that way to me. Aren’t we then doing what he was showing us to do?

I didn’t say we have ‘all of God’s attention’ I said Satan wanted it. God is omnipresent (back to Psalm 139 ‘where can I flee from your presence, etc’), meaning ‘everywhere all the time’ and keeping an eye on all of us, demons, humans, angels and elementals etc. That spreads the ‘love’ mighty thin, you might say, when you don’t believe that LOVE can completely encompass you and fill your soul/spirit, and Satan separated itself from God when it fell. When someone is desperate for the attention of another person, won’t they do anything to achieve it, including acting badly, just think of a child temper tantrums and breaking his toys? Well, the devil probably thinks of humanity as God’s toy, there to be broken and remade, not in God’s image (as we all were (Genesis 1:27)) but in Satan’s – to boost his ego. He tried to tempt Jesus over to his side (Matt 4:1-11), the greatest of all of God’s creations, but when that failed he had to settle for us. And we help him .. with our small-minded, bad attitudes and unloving choices.

Interestingly enough, after all these millenia, God doesn’t hate Satan. ‘Job’ can be used to look at that point of view. God allowed Satan to test one of his most devoted followers, to the point of insanity .. why would God do that to Job .. just to start with .. unless it was trying to show Satan that he was still loved. Job must have been a truly strong, faithfilled and beautiful person, to have survived everything that happened to him, and STILL love God. I wonder if they made an agreement before Job was born, or was it simply an allegory?

So, sorry I couldn’t answer your question, but you misunderstood what I wrote.

            Love & Peace

        • Social_D

I know it has made sense to you and shook your heart as you was reading it……..HaHaHaHa (it was a humor )……. I haven’t any backing of bible because respectfully I haven’t seen a bible yet.

    • Hi SD, and everyone.

Next time I bash my leg on something sharp (and get a bruise), or a bit of seed from a bush lands on my head (it will have to be a really big seed – but it is spring and I am gardening), I’ll have to look at the bruise and see it as God trying to DESTROY me? Ok, ok, I am just having fun, and I’m not actually the devil but .. for non-biblical people that quote makes no sense. The actual quote is Genesis 3:15. In 3:12-13 Adam was blaming Eve for giving him the fruit to eat, Eve blamed the serpent and God turned on the serpent (3:14) and said

“Because you have done this, cursed are you among all animals and among all wild creatures; upon your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. (3:15) I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.” He then went on to punish Adam and Eve, but not by bruising them.

So Eve’s son was going to stamp on the serpent, or hit him with something .. which gets extrapolated (2000 years later) into Jesus crushing Satan’s head, or destroying him. Personally, I think it would have been Cain doing it (Eve’s first offspring), but he decided to side with Satan instead, by killing his brother Abel. I wonder if Seth (son number 3) was supposed to pick up the stick instead? Did no one do it until Jesus was born? :-)

Is it any wonder people get confused by this book?

      Love & Peace
      Ama (giggling).

      • Good morning Ama, long time no speak. Unfortunately Im being forced to work all this overtime. I dont have time to keep up on the new topics. This one caught my attention though. Thank you for clearing up the explanation of the seed for people that arent familiar with the bible. Sometime i forget this forum attracts all types of beliefs. Yea,… going back to my comment. I believe Jesus in the seed in the prophecy and will deliver the death blow after 1,000 years when the Devil let loose to tempt mankind one last time. I know many people will interpret the prophecy different. But we know this is a forum of sharing and accepting of others belief. You have a good day.
Take care now, bye bye then

  9. Ama,
Sorry but my comment I posted was directed to Maness. I know God loves each and eveyone of us individually. I think you misunderstood my question. As before, we can agree to disagree on certain topic, like this for example.

  10. God does love everyone and made a way that none of us have to suffer the punishment brought on by Adam and Eve and our own selfish sin. He loves us all but it is our choice on whether to choose to love Him and accept Christ’s sacrifice and be redemmed to God by that sacrifice. He will not make you choose to be redeemed. He is grieved terribly everytime His sacrifice and love are ignored or rejected. No one will go to Heaven by good deeds because as humans we cannot be good enough on our own to stand before our Holy God that is why Christ died on the Cross. When you choose to accept His sacrifice you are redeeemed. It is a perfect plan and it has worked for 2000 years or more and is still working now but satan is throwing the kitchen sink at those who have not accepted Christ as saviour and is using all power and minions to confuse and mislead those that are not believers. Why is Satan doing it, because he knows, he knows what is right aroud the corner, he knows the gospel, and he wants to take unbelievers to hell with him in order to hurt God. I see some sensational concocted stories on this site, but there is one statement that needs to be made, God, Jehovah, is in control of this Universe including satan, the fallen angels, demons, jinns whatever. Thery are only active because God allows them to be. It won’t be long. Make your choice now.

  11. After causing a war in heaven and trying to assassinate his Creator and wrecking havoc in heaven and on earth. Satan is scheduled for destruction, and he knows this.

REVELATION 12:12 – Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Bible prophecy will be fulfilled. The Scriptures state that Jesus, the Son of God was born so that he could destroy the works of Satan.

I JOHN 3:8 – He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

HEBREWS 2:14 – Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.

God is not only going to destroy Lucifer, God is also going to destroy the evil angels that followed Satan i.e. the gods whom men worship or host of heaven as they are sometimes called.

JEREMIAH 10:11 – Thus shall ye say unto them, THE GODS that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.

ISAIAH 34:4 – And all the HOST OF HEAVEN shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.
