Am I Alone?

I was born in Pennsylvania 1982. If you’ve ever heard of Fulton County, which most likely you haven’t, its pretty desolate in terms of population density. My childhood was rather vague and obscure. I’ve had some private schooling thanks to mom and never really had a true friend. My dad was a coal miner. He was distant and senseless, abusive toward my mom mostly. When I was 16 I planned to run away (for the 2nd and last time) but decided not to leave mom. For the first time I stood up to my old man and I don’t remember much after that. He laid in bed with broken ribs for a few days then one morning he was gone.

About ten years ago when I had turned eight my mother broke the news that we would be moving to a new house. I was excited to be moving into a new house specially how I wouldn’t have to share a room anymore. Months went by and already many paranormal things went by, but everyone in the neighborhood was use to it.

Spiritual Experience Undergoing Open Heart Surgery

Back in November 2003, my husband and I received the devastating news that I had to undergo open heart surgery for a valve replacement. On the morning of my surgery and before the nurse wheeled me to the operating suite, my husband leaned over, gave me a kiss and said, “you come back to me, now”. I took his hand, and said, “I will”.

The day before my surgery, the surgeon, who was to do my valve replacement, came into my hospital room and told my husband and I what I would more than likely be experiencing while I was under, during the surgery. He said that I would probably hear mumbling voices, which would be the surgeons working on me, that I would be put on life support for a short time, all that interesting stuff.

Strange Experiences with Imaginary Friends

When I was a small child, around 3 or 4 years old, I had an imaginary friend named “Lincoln.” Lincoln was a bearded white male dressed as a king in very fancy velvet clothes with a fur cloak and a golden crown. He told me about his adventures in Madagascar, and about the crocodiles there. My mother told me that this detail was the first clue that Lincoln was maybe not entirely fiction, since my family were uneducated, working-classed people living in the rural south with only two TV stations she had no idea how I could have heard of Madagascar or crocodiles.

Anyhow, Lincoln often brought with him a boy named “Timothy.” Timothy had chains around his wrist, neck, and ankles, looked very malnourished, and had a pale purple-blue skin tone like he had drowned or been choked. Update on Colors

Hi everyone! I recently posted a story I named Colors. In a nut shell I have been seeing colors in my living room and bedroom, on the walls, furniture, my dog, my husband, my hands, etc. for over a year now. The colors in the living room have been different shades of blue and green, sometimes, dark purple. You may want to read the original post.

I don’t remember who said that it could be my daughter trying to contact me, but, I think that is what it is, as my daughters favorite colors where green, blue and purple. She was murdered in 1993.

Evil Spirit From a Ouija Board

Hello, I felt like sharing my detailed story. My name is Ross, I am currently 23. I grew up in a small town in North Dakota. As a child I had a fascination with ghosts. It wasn’t until I was 14 I had experienced my first %100 sure ghost, which was before I discovered Ouija. When I heard about Ouija from my friend Amanda at the age of 15, I was already a full believer.

My friend Amanda (who was about 6 years older than me) said when she was younger she and a friend used the Ouija board and it always worked. So I told her I would come over with a friend and she would show us how to use it. This isn’t my story. Rather, it is a story about my English teacher, whose name I will respectively keep private. He told us this story after me and my fellow classmates attended a presentation about drunk driving. This is my retelling of his story:

I had just left Borders books and was headed to Barnes and Noble a few blocks down the street. I came up on the intersection and was ready to turn left. As I pulled out into the intersection, a car rammed me hard into my left side, making a perfect indent that could have killed any passenger I would have had. The History and Origins of Halloween

Every kid (and kid at heart) looks forward to October, 31st each year. Little boys magically turn into vampires and little girls into fairies, bidding for the greatest haul of sugar laden sweets and candies. However, Halloween has a much deeper, and in some ways darker history, that has given birth to one of the most beloved holidays in the world.

Halloween’s origins go all the way back to Ancient times with the Celtic festival of Samhain. This was the Celt’s version of a New Years Eve celebration honoring the end of summer and harvest time, and marking a period of cold, darkness, and death of winter. Celts believed that this end of the year time marked the time in which the barrier between the living and the dead became thin. On October 31st the spirits would come back from the dead and create havoc by damaging the crops with frost and causing a multitude of other troubles.

Haunted Navy Housing in Virginia Beach

A gift or a curse? You decide.

I want to start by saying all the events I am recounting here for you are true and in no way embellished just to make a good ghost story. We had move to Navy housing in Virginia Beach, Virginia when I was 11 yrs old. I am the oldest of three children. A Visit From My Dad

I have had one very inexplicable paranormal experience in my life; and still ponder upon it often; even though it happened over ten years ago. I am a very rational person and am not given to flights of fancy. I had never given much thought to ghosts, but believe that life continues after death in a better place than this.

At the time I was pregnant, it was the middle of the day, the sun was bright and I was wide awake. My Dad had been dead for three years.

My Dreams

I thought that was the end of my experiences ( Lifetime of Paranormal Experiences ), but looking at the dreams section, I have remembered some more I want to share with you. I have always had very vivid dreams, some, not necessarily all coming true, but all seem to have symbolic importance in the coming days, weeks, or even sometimes years. I more often than not have deja vu experiences even if I haven’t ever:

a) done this before
b) seen places or people before or
c) really ever thought about these things when I am conscious. I haven’t really wanted to tell people about them as most people I worry that people will think I am quite mad.

Ghosts Around Me

As a child I experienced many odd things that always had me thinking. My first encounter with a ghost was when I was six years old. My mother had asked me to take the garbage out one night and I knew it was really dark back there, but I went anyway. I ran back there and threw the garbage in and as I walked back I noticed there was a shining bright light coming from the back house, which was vacant at the time, the light approached the window and as I looked closely it appeared to be a man that was on fire, but what was interesting about him was that he was grinning. I stood there frozen until I managed to move. I ran scared and confused that when I looked back I tripped and dislocated my ankle. Years later I can still vividly see that man or whatever it was.
