Not all Demons are Bad or Mix Lies with Truth

Posted on April 29, 2011

NOTE: This was origianlly submitted as a comment to Talking to a Friend in Hell. I thought it was very interesting and merited its own entry for better discussion.

Actually, not all demons are evil or mix lies with truth. In some cultures, they believe that some demons are good and some are evil. Some demons do help humans as there have been many stories throughout the ages about this. There is one story in particular that’s posted someone on this very same site. It was a true Egyptian story about a sick man (I believe) who was visited by a woman who was controlled by demons. I will try to find the story here and attach the link so that you can read the full story. The lady came to this sick man and was giving him information on the illness of several human beings. The lady was actually using this man to aide other human beings.

She said that she was owned by the demons that she aided when she was alive and they were making her do this to the sick man. It wasn’t anything bad. She was actually helping him detect illnesses in living human beings which brings me to another belief. I believe those humans in “hell” stay there for the most part and are owned/controlled by demons (non-human) to do their bidding. I believe the human spirits become just like the demons and are forced to do whatever the demons want them to do or be tortured/punished. I don’t believe they can simply just walk out of hell. Its not that easy.

I’ve read many stories of human spirits owned by demons or being slaves of demons or haunting a house on a demons behalf. I don’t believe demons simply allow humans to leave hell at their wish. Its much more harder to leave than you think. Also, you say hell is like a sentence, you’re there for some temporary time. If I kill 20 people, how long would I be in hell for? 20 years, 20 days (if it took me 20 days to kill those people) or 20 hours. What’s the sentence until I’m fully rehabilitated. Does jail actually rehabilitate vicious killers? Does hell actually rehabilitate vicious killers?

I believe there is a “temporary hell” or punishment for those spirits that can be rehabilitated or didn’t do that much bad. But, I also believe in a permanent hell for those who are not remorseful or repentant. There are such people that can’t be rehabilitated and enjoy hurting other people for fun. Anyway, here goes the link to that Egyptian story I was talking about above. In this story, you will see the demons used this woman to communicate with this sick man. The demons actually used the woman to help the man help other human beings. Link below:

First of all, I believe all demons are both evil and bad.

People committed crimes and get punished by staying in jail or sentencing to death, but they are physically punished by our everyday laws. The final punishment is during the end of the world, when our Lord Jesus will judge us. That is called the second death for those none believers. I believe our sin can be forgiven if we believe Jesus is our Lord and his blood covered our sin. However if people said they believed in God and asked God for forgivenessand the next day they committ the same crimes repeatedly, I personally don’t think they will be forgiven and they will go to hell.

As a child, I grew up in Chinaand I have heard a lot of real stories about animals such as fox that can possess a person and this person can help other people to get rid of their illness. The truth is the fox is doing good deeds through the person and earns ITS own credit so that Its life can reach to a higher level. Once the person the fox used is too greedy(since some of the possessd people asked the sick people for a lot of money for helping them) or is physically sick, the fox will leave the person and look for someone else. My grandma told me a lot of stories about her relative who was possed by a fox. When the fox spirit came into her relative, her relative’s voice changed and her facial expression changed as well. She would talk about something like someone else and my grandmother could always carry a long conversation with IT. She asked IT how come I haven’t seen you for so long, IT told her IT was very busy since the war and IT had to go to the front to cover the bullets for those soldiers who were not supposed to die. I think the fox spirit is some super whatever, IT did ”GOOD” for the sick of itself only. That is why we say evil things may appear to you in a good way. Hope what I said make sense.

Jesus covered all sins pst present and future. Once you are saved, you will never go to hell!
No sin is more powerful than the blood of Jesus.
Dont let Satan convince you otherwise.
He wants to be more powerful!

      • Caretaker says:

So I can get saved today and then next week I can rob and rape and murder and burn down churches but I will NEVER go to Hell because I am saved?

        • A.J Ryder says:

And to further elaborate on that question …

What is the point of a Catholic having to receive the Last Rites on their death bed, if they’re already saved?

          • Ama says:

No, Caretaker, that’s why ‘confession’ was developed. :-) You have the right to be forgiven, via Christ’s sacrifice, but need to choose to ask for forgiveness, every time you break the rules. Doesn’t seem to matter what you do, though? Or, better yet, you can ‘buy’ your way into heaven, or used to be able to? I don’t know if the Catholic church is still doing that or not? And then there’s death-bed confession, as AJ says, which you can do after you are dead .. I’ve read stories of a priest (or many) saying someone whispered their confession in his ear .. even though the person has been dead for a while.

It’s marvellous what the human mind will invent to get them out of trouble.

            Love & Peace

I believe the author of this post is confusing demons with daemons. These are two completely different things and should never be confused.

The OP is an interesting concept, ever the less.

    • BB says:

Where do you find this in scripture?

      • A.J Ryder says:

        HI BB

The concept of Daemon’s were around long before the Bible was written – assuming ‘scripture’ refers to the Bible.

Daemon’s neither represent good nor evil in their own right. They are what they are.

Look up Greek mythology for the definition of a daemon. It is a far cry from a demon.

It’s not as simple as Hell is like a prison where you pay for you’re crimes.

Hell was never intended to be for Humans, according to Judeo/Christian interpretations of what is a much older ideal.

Hell was devised for the fallen Angels. Angels are a much higher form of being than Humans, they are susceptible to emotions or faults we may consider to be “Human” because they are associated with higher intelligence, such as jealously and rage.

So theoretically it would not be hard for a fallen angel to control or own a human spirit in a domain that built to house creatures of such unimaginable strength and knowledge, we just cant compete with that. And just as the angels or demons chose to serve themselves by refusing to accept humans in the way God intended, (how would you feel about bowing to a lesser creature? i.e if you’re father who you adored told you to bow to a maggot, a creature that can not even fathom you’re intelligence, because it is supposedly in his image etc.) They could also feel remorseful and seek to regain their “grace” by serving humans, which could well be in their own interests. Or they could just remain resentful and seek to harm humans for the sheer fun of it.

However Hell is not a prison where you serve you’re time, that is Purgatory. Jesus supposedly said the only way to his fathers kingdom was through him, so you could be a saint but if you don’t believe in Jesus, you’re not getting into Heaven. And it’s too late to repent and accept Christ once you’ve died, because you have then gained knowledge and no longer need to base this on Faith.

all demons are evil.and some souls are evil too.you are confusing demons and the dead with fallen angels, they are different.demons were born unto fallen angels, while the dead are bodyless humans.the fallen ones are both evil and good, they can help u or destroy you,and they are powerful more than demons and the dead.in santeria, voudun and palo mayombe this are known as elevated spirits.orisha,mpungo,loa.while the demons and the dead are different and have different uses.you can use the aid of a demon or the dead too,it all depends on what you want and what kind of path you’re walking.not all witches work with the devil, demons or evil eggun.but all of them work with the elevated spirits, and in some ocassions the elevated spirits refer you to the dead or demons for guideance or help.this is all a mistery that only those in the different religious paths of witchcraft can understand.i believe in the bible but imo the bible doesn’t tell you everything about the dead, demons or fallen angels.the spirits themselves reveal their misteries to whom they want.let me add that even thou the devil is the most powerful evil entity and is king over all demons and evil eggun he doesn’t fully control the fallen angels and they work on their own behalf for themselves.some fallen angels work for GOD and do his bidding, most of the time for destruction and judgement.

It never ceases to amaze me how gullible we are as humans.
Of course not all demons would be mean, why would they?
There whole job is to pull us away from our only savior, Jesus Christ.

Demons want us to go down with them, they will do this by being kind, friendly,
informative, helpful, but dont be fooled they can easily confuse us.

Demons can easily dress themselves, and masquerade as “Dead humans”
They tell us a full things about someone, and we fall for it. Dont be fooled!!!
Its amazing how gullible we are!!

The ONLY tool is the word of God.

If you’re talking about Japanese yokai that’s true, but satanic demons are always evil.

  9. Don says:

    Hello Big Chief and all,

Just to clarify in regards to demons, the word of God shows that these are fallen angels who rebelled against God due to Satan’s trafficing. And therefore because of their rebellion, God gave them their judgment which will eventually be the lake of fire, also designated as Hell and the second death. There is no demon that is a good demon, for one of their designations is “Spiritual wickedness in high places.” Also, regarding what you said:

“I dont believe demons simply allow humans to leave hell at their wish. Its much more harder to leave than you think. Also, you say hell is like a sentence, youre there for some temporary time. If I kill 20 people, how long would I be in hell for? 20 years, 20 days (if it took me 20 days to kill those people) or 20 hours. Whats the sentence until Im fully rehabilitated. Does jail actually rehabilitate vicious killers? Does hell actually rehabilitate vicious killers?”

First, understand that there are three different words translated “Hell” in the New Testament, which are as follows:

Hades: The place of the lost dead whose location is within the heart of the earth. This is where the those who have rejected God and Christ, that is, the unfaithful go and will remain there until the end of the millennial reign of Christ, where at which point they will be resurrected out only to stand before God at the great white throne judgment and anyones name not found written in the book of life will be thrown into the lake of fire.
    (Revelation 20:11-15)

Tartartus/Tartaroo: This word is also translated as Hell and is used only once in
2 peter 2:4 in regards to those angels who sinned by taking wives from the progenny of of men and were thrown down there in chains of darkness until the final judgment.

Gehenna: This place should be the only place rightly translated as Hell and that because it is the final destination of all the angels and mankind who will have rebelled against God. Other designations for Gehenna iare “The lake of fire” and “The second death.”

The purpose of Hades or Hell as you called it, is not to reabilitate, but it is a temporary place of torment until the great white throne judgment. Furthermore, there is no returning from Hades once a person finds themselves down there. A good example of this is an event that Jesus told about regarding the “Rich man and Lazarus” where both men had died and the rich man being in torment in flame begged father Abraham to send Lazarus back up to the earth so that he could go to his fathers house in order to warn his five brothers so that they would not come to the same place. Long story short, The rich man was told by Abraham that his brothers had Moses and the prophets (Word of God) to warn them about this place and the dead cannot return from there to warn the living. If one finds himself in Hades there is no coming back, for if they died without Christ, then their record is sealed and they only have judgment and the lake of fire to look forward to.
