True Ghost Tales

First of all great website. It is good such a place exists so that there is help for those who have similar problems. When I was about 14 years old me and another friend used to hike in the woods in front of my house. I live in Kentucky and the woods are mostly knobs and full of old rocks and cubby holes. At the top of the knob was a large flat rock with holes that went inside of the rock. It looked sort of like a large Swiss cheese. It was probably 100 foot wide and 30 foot long. We had played there before but never really went into the holes.

This one day in particular we went into one of the holes. The soil was like sand. Very fine and it sifted easily. We started joking around about how Jessie James might have buried gold in the hole and started digging around. I dug up a rib bone that had teeth carved in it like a saw. It was well crafted and looked just like a small saw. I took it home to show my daddy.

Daddy looked at the bone and told me to take it back and bury it where I found it. He said it was Indian and more then likely it was a human bone. I was nervous about having the bone then but thought it was so cool to be holding a bone of an Indian. And why did they take the time to put the cool saw teeth in a human bone?

That night I put the bone on my dresser drawer and went to sleep. I woke up about two O’ clock that night with a strange feeling. I turned and looked at the door and in the door was what looked like a black cardboard cut out of a man. A shadow man with a hat and he was leaning against the door with his arm straight out. I freaked out. I couldn’t scream or move, It was like I was frozen. He stood there for the longest time never moving a muscle. Then I jumped at him… “flinched” and he just faded away. I don’t know how but I went back to sleep. Then again, out of sleep I awoke to a bad feeling in my chest. I looked at the door and there was another shadow man. This time he was kneeling in the door way. He never moved, he never made sound. He was just there kneeling as to observe me.

As before I jumped at him or punked him out. And he floated down the hall. Each time these things would come I somehow went back to sleep. I don’t know how I went back to sleep but I did. I wouldn’t sleep now if I saw these things.

I went back to sleep again and awoke again to the sight of again a third shadow figure. This time it looked like the outline of my grandmother. A large lady in a dress. She just stood there and didn’t move. I even said “Mamm_maw" It never moved. This time instead of jumping at it I started cursing it. I called it a few 4 letter words and told it to leave me alone. This time I saw the figure change from the big women shape to the shape of what looked like an Indian. I saw the feathers in it’s head and everything.

Once again I was asleep. I woke up, barely able to breath. My chest felt like someone has reached into my chest as was squeezing my lungs. Sitting on my chest was a creature so terrifying I can barely put it in words. It has the head of a wildcat… or what we call lynx. It has coal black eyes that stretched out oblong on it’s head. Like what you see in alien pictures. It had teeth like razors like the teeth of a shark. Its mouth was very wide and gaping. It has the body of a human. It was one my chest.

I couldn’t scream I couldn’t move. I felt as if it was going to kill me. I remember swinging my arms trying to hit it. It’s horrible black eyes stared at me and it moved its head back and forth like it was saying NO. I swung a few times at it and I thought I hit it. I somehow again went to sleep. I took the bone back to the hole the next day and I openly apologized to the wind. I swear these things are true on my blood. Now my daughter has seen several times in our house a man with a dog’s head like a Jackal. This scares me quite a bit. She is only 7 and has told me 2 times she has seen it.
