Everyone has a thought on the subject of the paranormal universe. Some believe that everything can simply be explained away by science, so they don’t bother to take the time to really examine things going on around them. While others can’t simply brush an experience off as a product of the norm without trying to see what made that occurrence happen at that time.
Everyone has had something odd happen to them or has heard stories from those they know and believe what they are saying is true. I am no different. I have had some weird happenings myself. Whether the product of an overly active imagination or true phenomenon, I am not yet aware.
The first occurrence that I remember happened when I was in grade school and stayed with a couple who lived close to my own home. I would take naps before school and sometimes would hear what sounded like a small bell, like you would find on a cats collar. I never really said anything to the couple, fearing it was just in my mind or a very powerful dream.
One day when school was out I was watching TV and heard a clock chime that I had never heard before. The lady I was staying with came in and told me that it had no batteries to make it chime and that her daughter had given it to her one Christmas before she passed away at a very young age. She showed me a photo of the blonde girl, complete with a necklace with a tiny bell. I don’t know whether it was a true experience or a mother trying to hold onto a loss that was so tragic she never fully recovered.
My next experience came in the library I use to work in. Our boss had recently lost her husband and a co-worker and myself were upstairs preparing for the day when through our intercom system a male voice said the name of our boss. We both heard it and immediately set out looking for the source. The only people in the building were the two of us, both females and one other lady downstairs who didn’t even seem to know what was going on.
Currently in my home we have experienced a TV that comes on rather regularly. Yes, I know it could be the product of weird wiring, but until I can come to that conclusion on my own after research and investigating, I will always wonder if there is another reason. Especially since the room the TV is in takes spells of giving me the creeps just in passing it. I don’t know, I just feel the sensation of being watched.
Proof of the existence of paranormal activity? Not on their own, but perhaps with the proper investigation one of them could lead to some rather interesting evidence that their may be more out there than we are ready to admit to ourselves and others.
Thank you for joining me on a trip through my own experiences, I look forward to reading the experiences of others in the coming months. I have recently started my own paranormal research group in hopes of getting the answers I seek. We are the Martinsville Volunteer Paranormal Society.
