I am now mid 30s. When I was in my early twenties I lived with my mom and grandma. Mom took care of my grandma. The house always felt creepy to me. My grandmas second husband died there and also her seconds husbands first wife. Grandma had many health problems like bad back and glaucoma. She was on Valium for like 10 years to help with back problems. She had a new doc. This doc took her off Valium and gave her Prozac. Then she had a cornea transplant shortly after that. She seemed sort of out of it after surgery and slept a lot for a week. We never knew anything was wrong. Mom came home from work at 10pm that night and grandma had shot herself through the heart in bed. I came home that same day about 5pm in between my two jobs and grandmas door was slightly open and I yelled bye when I ran in and out. I felt a little weird in the house that day. It turns out her time of death was probably right before I came home.
Well we had to stay there in the house until everything was figured out about her estate. I was scared to sleep in my room. I slept in the living room on the fold out couch with my boyfriend after she died. I was laying there trying to go to sleep and heard a very loud gunshot. My boyfriend heard it also and my mom came in since she heard it too. She went looking around and said oh something just fell and its OK go back to sleep. Then months later she tells me she just told me that so I would not be scared and nothing did fall.
A few days later I was home alone. I was in the kitchen talking on the phone. When you walk in the door you are in the kitchen. There is a long hallway that ends at the kitchen. I heard very loud audible footsteps creaking with each step. It stopped at the kitchen. I was so petrified I could not move. I stopped talking and sat there with my heart pounding. I finally threw down the phone ran out of the house and was never there alone again and never spent the night there anymore. My mom also saw something weird after her death. We had a huge yard. A few days after her death it filled completely with black crows. She said it was so many that she could not see one patch of grass. We lived in a decent sized city and this was an unusual site. She said the neighbor even saw and called her asking if she should shoot her gun to scare them away.
Can someone explain the gunshot noise and footsteps? Would this be my grandma? Why would there be all the crows in the yard? The house was sold and I have always wanted to go back and ask the owners if they have heard anything.
