The experience wasn’t very long but the memory was burned into my mind. It was around 1:00 am and I was dreaming of myself lying down and it was pitch black around me. I felt like I was watching myself through someone else’s perspective. My head was moving side to side with a slight uneasiness feeling, then I felt like I was thrown back into my body. My heart felt like it was hollowed out and I wasn’t alive anymore but it only lasted for an instant then; I fell down hitting the ground, it was cold and hard under my skin.
I opened my eyes quickly without moving my body and darted my eyes around without moving my head. I was so scared I didn’t dare to move. I just clutched my hand tighter into fists and shut my eye’s tightly. Then I felt like I was being lifted back onto my bed by what felt like air.
After a few minutes of being lifted I opened my eyes again and everything looked normal, all that was different was that I was lying down in a different position. I looked at the clock without moving my head and it was 1:05. My body felt cold and I could hear my heart beat after being so scared. I then hugged my pillow trying to get to sleep again.
Ever since that experience I was afraid of sleeping, I sleep with a pillow to my right side, my left, under my feet, and one to rest my head on somehow hoping this will protect me.
I have told my parents about it but they wouldn’t believe me all they said is,”You’ve been watching too many scary movies.” But my uncle, he used to live in my room, he said something is there because he remembers when he was younger he felt like something pulled his leg while he was trying to go to sleep.
I don’t know if its the same thing but it has happened to me where I feel like my leg suddenly is pulled down. I still wonder; what was it that lifted me?

Hello. When you’re in that between-sleep-and-awake state, what you had happen is actually quite common. When your conscious mind relaxes, especially for someone younger and perhaps less cynical about things of this nature, out-of-body experiences can happen quite often. Don’t be afraid to go to sleep- I think your fear or negative feeling came from experiencing something unknown to you. In my teens I started to realize this was what happened to me, which is nothing more than an astral projection. I relaxed and the fear went away, and nothing bad ever came from it. Some amazing things can be seen and felt during out-of-body experiences. Nothing is wrong with you, it’s something that quite often starts in the teen years or twenties for a person. Read about the subject online if you are still concerned, but seriously, I think you’re probably a very normal young woman.
Liz I disagree with you. It’s just that I would believe that something paranormal is there. I don’t believe that it’s normal for you to feel something pull your leg and think that your being lifted. Even if your in a awake and asleep state. Plus even the Uncle said that something was there. I’m just saying that it seems weird to think that its normal.
Suzanne- I understand what you’re saying. But normal means different things to different people, I suppose. I don’t think Brittany should be scared to sleep because of this incident. Something could have been there, sure. But for her to be anxious and afraid- that won’t help the circumstance in any event. If it was an astral projection/dream, which I hope is all it was, then it is normal. If something did touch her, obviously that’s not what all of us call normal but it does happen. I have seen and felt a few “paranormal” things in my life, but unless I have other very deliberate events showing me something evil’s in my home, I won’t let them stop me from sleeping, or living my life. Brittany is the living being, and if she experiences this again, I hope she is empowered to know that it may just be an OBE. And if it’s not, she can tell whatever it is to leave at once and it will. Spirits should never be allowed to overpower the living by causing them fear.
there is obviously something ‘unseen’ in your room. trust me. i also experience one, quite similar with yours. in mine, ‘she’, yea she, lifted me, and im under suppression at that time.
i’ve felt that feeling 2 wen i was little…wen i was bout 9, it was sooo scary.im glad u put up that story!
……but wit me it was like hell hounds chasing me, and i was falling, but i cud actually feel myself jump bak into my body….it was sooo real, the impact was huge, that still bothers me till this day on why that happened…..i woke up so afraid an alarmed, outta dis world!
i also have the same experience as you
my house is dirty—— my sis has seen before—-
i had an experince similar to this. I dreamt I was in the living room of my house( the only time I ever dreamt about it) and this pale orange haired lady was pulling my through the ceiling towards the attic. However I woke up before she brought me there. Crazy thing is, the way she was holding me then going through the ceiling reminds me of how a spider would hold it’s prey.
I had a similar experience. I was lying on my side, and I would swear that something touched me on the back of the neck. It felt very real. I live alone, so no person or pet could have done that. I was so alarmed that I didn’t move, and I fought the urge to fall asleep again. It felt very real.
