The earliest known records of mankind’s belief in Satan and demons appear in the Jewish writings from about 300 BC (Around 2,300 years ago). Within 200 years the beliefs and concepts concerning Satan and demons became very well developed in the Palestine region. Within another 200 years this concept spread out as far away as Ireland and Europe.

Probably, the most widespread, generalized belief is that Satan and demons are fallen angels with Satan being the ‘leader’. Satan is viewed as the enemy of God and the embodiment of evil.

There can be a lot of confusion in the paranormal world as to just what is responsible for certain events, but most paranormal experts agree that a demon and a ghost are not the same thing.

Of course, there are many who do not believe in the existence of Satan or demons. That is not the point of this article. My purpose here is only to shed light on some history behind the now worldwide knowledge about Satan and demons.

Personally, I do believe that demons are real. I do not however, believe that a ghost is a demon. With that in mind it would only follow that some hauntings, or poltergeists, may actually be demonic activity.

Isaiah 14:12: ”How are thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

Jude 1:6: “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

Revelation 12:9: “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

I will never forget my first evp using a little dictation recorder (borrowed from work). I told whomever was in the room that this was my first attempt at evp, and asked for a message. What came through was “you got what you asked for”.

I then progressed to using a digital recorder that proved to be very successful. I had numerous conversations with various entities – asking questions and receiving responses. I also recorded them singing to me. This went on for many months. Of course word went around that I was able to communicate and record messages from the afterlife.

The first request that comes to mind was from a lady in Brisbane whom I had never met or spoken to. (I live in Melbourne). Her partner (Robert) had died in a car accident and she desperately needed to know that he was ok. I asked my guides if it was possible for me to connect with him. He came through with many messages. Not long after that, I received a call from his dad who was sceptical. He asked if it might be possible to receive a message for him. The message that came through made no sense to me, but I relayed the message to his dad. His dad burst into tears when I told him that Robert said he was able to walk again. Apparently Robert spent a lot of his adult life in a wheelchair due to a back injury. Whilst they were trying to settle Robert’s estate, they realised an important document was missing. I made contact with Robert again, and he told me exactly where the document could be found. After a few weeks, whilst I was doing a recording for someone else, Robert came through and thanked me for my help.

Gosh, there are so many I can tell you about.

The manager of the company I bought our window blinds from asked me to make contact with his father. This man was overjoyed that he was actually able to sit and listen to his father’s message.

Another guy wanted me to make contact with his mother. I did and the message was “Jason, you must stop taking drugs”.

My husband’s friend came over to do some electrical work on our house. His wife Jenny came along with him. She brought up the subject of what I do and admitted to being a sceptic. She asked me if it might be possible to make contact with her uncle who died. I said sure, let’s do this together. So I did what I normally do. When I downloaded the audio file to the computer, Jenny was sitting next to me. The message we received was for a “Karen” and not Jenny. When I turned to ask Jenny whether she knew a Karen, Jenny was as white as a sheet, and told me Karen was her uncle’s daughter.

I made contact with my religious brother who died about 5 years ago. Our conversations were incredible as he was able to answer many questions.

Having said that, I also receive many random messages – some nice and others not so nice.

The other thing I should mention is often other people cannot always hear what I hear. I have no explanation for this. It does take a long time to fine-tune your evp hearing.

Hmm.. or we hear something completely different.

It’s fascinating to listen to EVPs .. but being me. Please everyone, use psychic protection before you begin. It doesn’t stop the spirits and ghosts from talking to you .. it just stops the latter from stealing your energy, your enthusiasm and your fun.

Lucinda, how do you actually ‘do’ evps? Do you have routine that you use?

My routine is fairly simple – it goes something like this:

“Good morning, this is Lucinda. What friends or family members do I have with me today? Are you able to tell me your name please.”

I would then point to the recorder and say “please try and speak directly into the recorder, to enable me to hear you”.

If I am trying to connect with a specific person, this is what I would normally say:

“I am trying to connect with Joe Blog. Do you think you might be able to find him for me please? His wife Debbie would love to receive a message from him”.

Sometimes the message would be “we will get him for you”, or “he cannot speak with you right now – come back later”. Other times there would only be silence lol. If this is the case, I would try later in the day, or the following morning.

I always end my recording thanking them for taking the time to speak with me, and letting them know I will be turning the recorder off.

I also seem to have my regulars who know me by name. Before I start talking, they will mimic me and say “Good morning, this is Lucinda”. They have also said “you are always washing”, or “bake us a cake Lucinda”. My favourite is “play us some music Lucinda”.

You are correct about the protection Ama. After recording, I would often feel totally exhausted.

evp do actually record the voices of the dead well i din’t experience it though but i have seen incidents where strange things happen and when there is an evp session done you get all your answers so yes i believe evp does work…………………..well atleast i believe it does

We have captured some fantastic examples of e.v.p on our travels, when you realise that you’ve captured something that came from another plane it still excites me.
