Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

Well to start off this story I must explain a few things. At the time my husband, my two year old son and I were living with my in laws. We were desperate to find a home of our own as you can imagine. So the first place we found was in a small place called Oddville. It used to be a tiny town but now its no more than a few old homes, an old school and some run down shops that are boarded up.

We called about a trailer that sat beside the old school (the school was large, two story brick building with a basement) My mother in law and I went to check out the new place and meet the landlord. The first time I set foot in the trailer I got freaked out. First off it was 9 pm and there were very few lights working inside. It had been empty for several months according to the landlord.

Second I kept seeing things in the corners of every room. Almost like a human shape but when I would look it wasn’t there. Now the worst part was the master bedroom. I left my mother in law and new landlord to chat in the kitchen. The bed room was at the other end of the trailer. I walked into the empty room and tried to flick the lights on. Nothing. So I turned on the hall light and just left the door open. I got half way into the room and the door slammed shut behind me. (this was an old trailer with sliding doors) I couldn’t see any thing so I started to feel the wall to find my way back to the door. Just as I got to the door I felt a hand on my arm, I scream and swing thinking some one was hiding in here. I kept swinging and screaming until my mother in law started pounding on the door. Finally she gets it open and flicks the light… which comes on… and asks what happened.

I’m looking around as I explain to her what happened. She is looking at me like I’ve lost my mind of coarse, until she sees my arm. I had a red hand print on my arm. She looks at it and then looks at the landlord as if asking what do you know. He comes over to me and looks at my arm. He then shakes his head and says “I’m sorry he normally isn’t a bother.” I ask who? He says ” I’m not sure but when my wife and I bought this place she always swore she saw a man in the bathroom mirror. I didn’t believe her until my last tenant moved out. I was here cleaning up and the power went off. I lit my lighter and saw him standing right in front of me.”

Now like I said my family was desperate for a home. So a week later we moved in. We lived there two years and had many strange things happen. From a woman who walked the hallway almost every night to that man attacking me and leaving marks. There was also a small boy whom my son spoke to often. On the last night we lived there I had horrible nightmares of the man drowning the small boy and choking the woman. My husband said I sat strait up in bed and was crying and choking. Needless to say we have never been back. And my son who’s now 9 calls that the bad house.
