Let me start off by saying, I own a cute little purple rhinoceros. I could never think of a good name for him, so I just call him Rhino. He has pink on the bottom of his feet, in his ears, and on his horns and in his nostrils and on the furry tip if his tail and has long limbs. I don’t know where he came from, (the tags on the his bottom are blank, no company logo or anything.) It was probably too long ago to remember, but because of his colors, I believe he was a gift for valentines day. He is very special to me for many reasons. He fills me with confidence, and comforts me, when no one else will. Not to mention, he’s a wonderful listener.
I recently remembered something from the past. Before, I moved here to Georgia, I lived in Canton, Ohio. One night there was a lightning storm and the lights went out. I was so tired, and was not going to sleep through a storm, without being in my own bed. But we (my mom,my sisters and I) were all downstairs. And being so little, I was too scared to run to my room in the dark. So I picked up my Rhino and told him we were going to be brave, and run through the hallway upstairs, and jump on my bed without looking back. I was so freaked out when I gathered all my confidence and made it on my bed and the lights immediately came on. I looked at my Rhino and he only smiled. I hugged him and ran back downstairs to tell everyone, but typically, no one believed me.
Today I am 14 years old and still sleep with my rhino. He gives me good dreams and lets me rollover on him in my sleep (unlike my Chihuahua). I know this story probably wasn’t as “paranormal” as you would have liked, but this story is very special to me, because I took that as a sign, to be brave and conquer. And I plan on doing so.
Thanks for reading, and please comment.

What a lovely posting, Mariah! It is so good to hear something positive here. I am sure Rhino must have been given to you by someone who really cared about you and this is why he is helping you. Remember that you can still be brave even without your rhino, though; the rhino has taught you to be brave, but the actual bravery is coming from YOU! Best wishes for a successful future.
no offence i dont think it had something to do with your stuffed animal i think its all you.you had no-one to talk to,really and you were talking to your rhino and then the lights went on.thansk for the story.
I think its just you. Your just thinking that its rhino because your happy that you have a companion and making him as a good charm. It has no paranormal stuff. So when you make your Chihuahua a charm, a companion and telling him we are going to be brave. I think the outcome will be the same.
i love this post!! give rhino a big hug for me!!
Cutest story I’ve read so far. And obviously real!
Nice sweet story! If I were you I would keep Rhino forever… friends forever! Thanks for a positive ghose story!
