My house is hardly 11 years old, but I think that the land itself may be haunted. Because in the late 1800′s there was a flood, that destroyed the community.

I always hear loud footsteps thumping up the stairs, when no one else is around. I sometimes see shadow people, coming in and out of my bedroom. My sister saw shadow people on her wall at night, and it moves around like its walking. My mom has seen the figure of a little girl in front of her door. And has had dreams about the girl.

Last year my parents went to Newfoundland and my two younger sisters went to my other grandparents, while I stayed and looked after the house and the dog, but at night I would stay at my grandparents across the street. I remember I was downstairs and I was feeling hungry, so I decided to go upstairs. Once I reached the last step, I walked into a cold spot, and I looked up to see the cupboard curtains swaying back and forth. I was really freaked out so I went up to my grandparents.

The next day I came back, and the large lazy-boy chair had been completely turned around. I thought somebody might be in the house, so I looked around the house to find nothing out of the ordinary. Another weird experience happened to me and my sister. She was talking on the phone to her friend. When she started hearing a weird voice on the phone. She knew it wasn’t her friend because her friend was being interrupted. And both were talking at the same time. My sister was getting scared so she asked me to pick up the phone and listen. I heard the voice myself, and it sounded inhuman. The weird thing was her friend said that nobody else was home at her house, or at ours. We still can’t explain it today.

My sister told me one time she thought she heard someone falling down the stairs, when she went to look, she found nothing. I think my house may be haunted, but I’m not totally sure. It still scares me when I’m alone though, and that feeling won’t ever change.
