My great-grandfather passed away on December 31st, 2008 after a long battle with congestive heart failure and kidney failure. When he died, he was in the hospital and nobody was with him at the time of his death. My whole family was very saddened.
Now, as a side note, my great-grandfather served in the Canadian Navy before coming to the United States. After he came to the United States, he became a welder and steamfitter. My great-grandmother soon after began to pray for a sign that everything would be okay and that things would work out.
Not too long after that, my aunt called to tell us about a trip to Yellowstone National Park and something odd happened to her. She was in a camping store where they sold backpacks, bug spray, etc. and she noticed this prayer card that had three charms next to it: a cross, a heart and an anchor. She thought: “What would an anchor have to do with a cross and a heart?” Then she figured that it was proof enough that my Grandpa was okay.
So, my folks called me to see the charm which my aunt had sent over, and when the charm arrived, it was placed on my Grandpa’s dresser and had remained untouched since it arrived. Then, when they took it down to show me, the three charms were fused together as one charm, and, like I said, he was a welder.
So I believe that my Grandpa’s spirit continues to watch over us and I believe he is okay. What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!
