I am currently 14 years old and about two years ago, me and my 16 year old cousin slept at my grandmothers house for a few nights.
We would always sleep there as a child to spend time with her. I wouldn’t consider my grandmother normal, no offense to her. She would always be grumpy and never have a smile on her face. My grandma is almost deaf, but she has hearing aids to help her with that. My grandma has many disease “Bipolar” or something. When my grandma was about 20 something, she tried to commit suicide, a little after my cousins mom was born.
When my mom was born she tried to commit suicide again. My grandmother wasn’t really around for the raising or our mother’s lives. But when she would it was a living hell. She’d abuse them, and her own husband. She was crazy. She went to mental hospitals because she would always see things, hear and feel things touch her. She had imaginary friends. She would always talk to them at night. My mom and my cousins mom would always sneak a peak on her at night, but my grandma could never hear them since she would always take her hearing aids off.
The scariest part of this is that when me and my cousin were around the age of 10, she’d tell us the stories about all the things she had seen in her past. For example she said: “While I was in the mental hospital, I saw someone hang themself. I screamed for help, to help her, but no one believed what I saw…” Me and my cousin knew she was just crazy, but what if she was actually seeing spirits or something.
Years went by and our great aunt moved in cause she had nowhere to live. She was a little crazy too. Every night she would wake my grandpa up saying she saw things and that she was really afraid to die, sometimes we could hear her scream at night whenever we slept over!
So, one night, she had finally passed away while she was making coffee at 3 am. My grandfather heard a big “BOOM” when she fell. So he ran and saw her on the ground, he called the ambulance. My grandfather lived pretty far from town. So it took a while. But it was too late, she died.
A couple months later we had slept over again. While my cousin was four wheeling outside, I was watching TV. Soon after she ran in the house crying saying she had saw our great aunt in the window of her old room. I didn’t really believe her.
Couple years later my mom and my dad got divorced so my mom moved in my grandma’s house for a good year until we found a place to stay.. Believe it or not, I swear almost every two or three nights I’d wake up randomly in the middle of the night, hearing a big “BOOM” of something fall.
Thanks for reading my story. That big “BOOM” I heard almost every night, could it have been my great-aunt?
