Often times we hear about a child who’s imaginary friend seems to be a ghost. Here is just such a story. This story of ghostly encounters was submitted by a member of our paranormal forum.
I have only shared this with a few people and only after they have had an experience at my home. My son was 3 and my daughter 1 when the first thing that happened was as I was laying down in bed my boyfriends radio that he placed in our bedroom turned not just on but slowly it started turning up.
He was working 3rd shift at a local gas station. So I called him. I asked him where he put the remote for the radio, logical thinking, I laid on the remote. He began telling me about how he lost the remote a few years back at his fathers house. So I slept on the couch after unplugging the radio.
The rest of the time we lived there things were fine, except for that I noticed that my back yard backed up to a cemetery that sat on top of the hill right behind my house, and the fact that I thought that my daughter was a little too young for an imaginary friend whom she would babble to in her crib. It would make her laugh and sometimes startle her and my boyfriend thought that I was losing my mind.
When we moved my children were 4 and 2. My daughter still had her imaginary friend. We decided to get some cats, they acted kind of odd, but we blew it off. Even if we had a ghost, it couldn’t follow you. We would go into our living room and all 3 cats would be in a circle surrounding something that we couldn’t see, hissing, fur on end. You could watch them follow it with their eyes, but we blew it off.
We moved shortly. My children were 5 and 3. My 3 year old still had her imaginary friend. I could here her talking to her friend in her room, her name Sasa. Things were still quiet for the most part for awhile.
One day my fiance called me at work and told me that he finally believed me. He stated that while he was sitting on the couch watching TV that my wind up carousel horse started rocking and playing music. The only problem was it was on the mantel across the room. He felt as if he was not alone and both kids were asleep.
Later that week we asked my daughter about her imaginary friend. Why couldn’t we see her? It sent chills up both of our spines as my perfectly angelic daughter looked at us and kinda giggled, “Because she is dead silly”. We looked at each other and said “we need to talk”.
