Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

When I was 13 me and my best mate always spoke about ghosts and anything that involved them. One day when we were in school he said to me “what would you do if I had died?” where we had always joked about things like that, I just thought he was joking again, so I said, “I will dance on your grave and happy and make sure you visit me.”

That day he asked me again and I said the same thing and told him I would take that ring that his mum gave him and we started to giggle.

When I went home he rang me and said, “sorry.” At the time I didn’t know what he was talking about and we hung up. I didn’t sleep that night because I knew that there was something wrong.

The next day I went to school and he didn’t come in and when I was in my science lesson I was called to the main office and then I was told that my mate Ashley (that was his name by the way) had committed suicide. He had hung him self.

When I went home my mum said that someone had rung for me 10 minutes before I got home. I said, “who was it?” and my mum replied, “it was Ashley.” Then the shock of his death had it on me and I broke down and started crying. My mum asked, “what is the matter” so I told her Ashley had killed himself early that day and my mum said, “it couldn’t have been him, he just rang.” When my mum redialed the number it said that the number is unknown.

Later that day Ashley’s mum came round to mine and gave me the ring that we were joking about. She also gave me a letter written by Ashley and it said, “dear Ellie I’m so sorry and I hope you can forgive me for the pain I have made you feel and I’ll hold you to your word.”

At the time I didn’t know what he meant and a couple of weeks went past and then it clicked. I went and jumped over his grave and that night I started to hear voices down stairs. All I knew was that my uncle was down there watching TV, then I heard some one say, “go down stairs, go down stairs.” I woke my mum and asked her to go down stairs with me and when we got down there my uncle was lying on the floor. He had a heart attack and he died that night. After that I know Ashley is watching over me. I know what people think. You can think what you want and now I know there is another side to life.
