Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I have a cleaning business / snow removal business. One of my clients for both businesses lives in a home here on Long Island. It is a very large house with an even larger back yard. The yard is neat and well taken care of with tall trees here and there. There is a swamp behind all of this.

When I was on a snow removal job about three years ago, I went around back to shovel the steps leading to a tenants apartment. As I was 1/2 way down I saw a bright wavy light, probably about eight feet tall or more behind one of the trees in the far left corner of the yard. It seemed to move from tree to tree working it’s way up to me. All of a sudden BAM it was there and I dropped the shovel and ran to the side where my partner was.

My heart was pounding and I told him what I saw. He was very casual about it and said he has been seeing stuff flying around too but just wanted to get down and out. I couldn’t go in the back again and waited in the truck.   Later I decided that this spirit/ghost what ever it was was playing with me. Sort of like peek a boo. Now I find it almost cute.

I was told by the owner that they have seen ghosts in chairs, in pics that they have taken and they hear them often, mostly in the attic. To the point where this client runs up to the attic door and yells at them to go away. I saw one of the pics. It was taken of two ghosts heads on the floor. For what ever reason there were no bodies. The heads were as clear as night and day and they were almost laughing. It looked like two creepy men.

About a month ago I was on a house cleaning job here and in the empty room right outside of the attic door. I clearly heard a scary type of manly breathing on the other side of the door. Nothing else happened, I just decided to say to myself, “I’ve been here for a few years and never got hurt,” so I deal with it now.

I took a recorder to work with me twice now and have yet to pick up anything but will continue to try. I may even ask the home owner to set it up over night for me because I believe with less activity in the home the recorder may pick up something. I do tell this ‘thing’ to please try to communicate with me on the recorder, that I will do what ever I can to help it.
