It’s been almost six years since this happened, and I will never forget any of it. I normally don’t talk about it, but right now, it has to come out.
The place where I used to go to Daycare everyday after school decided that we were going to move to a brand new building that used to be a school for High School kids. The day Sandy, my daycare director, announced that we were moving there wasn’t at all a pleasant day for me. As always the day came where we finally moved into the place, from the moment I stepped through the doors of the Draper building, I knew it was going to be all right, or at least what I thought. This place was huge, it had about three floors, with so many classroom’s and different places to explore.
I had always thought that ghosts didn’t even exist, but one day everything changed. My daycare was on the second floor of the building, and there was a soda machine located down on the second floor. So, one day, Lindsay, a girl that was in my group of kids that were my age decided to go down to the first floor, and grab a soda for ourselves and one of the teachers who had asked for one. We both climbed down the lower level of stairs, very carefully so that we wouldn’t disturb any of the other people working in the offices.
The soda machine was within sight, and we quickly decided to make this soda run fast. As Lindsay was inserting some of the coins to purchase a soda, I happened to glance over at the end of the hallway to see if anyone was coming around the corner. No one was there, so I turned my attention back to the soda machine. Lindsay grabbed the remaining soda, and suddenly her eyes went wide. I asked her what was wrong, and she told me to look in the direction she was looking in. I turned my head, and my eyes grew wide.
At the end of the hallway, there stood what appeared to be a black figure moving at a very slow pace. It was kind of tall, and seemed to be wearing a hooded cloak. I realized it didn’t have a shadow, it lifted it’s head and two glowing red eyes locked in on us.
We both screamed at the top of our lungs, and suddenly made a dash towards the stairs. We refused to look back. One of our teachers came running to ask us what was wrong. We explained to her exactly what happened, and she had this look on her face like she didn’t believe us. Ashley, one of the girls that was also at the daycare, a few weeks after, told us she heard a woman’s voice calling out to her from one of the rooms. And another person I know, said he and a few friends went to check out the place, and what he told me happened to him sent shivers down my spine. He said that he was in one of the rooms looking around, when a lamp went flying out of nowhere at him.
