Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

Is it true infants and younger children posses a connection and communication to the other side? Or is it only some children? Is it only those of purest souls? It is those who had a past life or perhaps have a guardian angel through the journey to the beginning of a new life?

This is a true story, not that I remember this myself, however being told by my parents (dad being a former skeptic in the after life) that around the age of three when I began to speak, for countless nights and several months I had woken my parents from their sleep in the middle of night or a few hours after midnight with ear piercing screams. Alarmed as they would enter my room each time they would find me sitting upright on my bed staring in one particular corner at the top of my ceiling balling my innocent eyes out.

When my parents asked what’s wrong? What happened? What are you looking at? I would reply something like “The man, he’s talking to me”.

Each time it happened mum would ask me questions in a calm tone to get me to answer her and asked “What does the man look like?” I had apparently described him wearing brown… a brown hat and robe.

The more frequently this night terror occurred the more my parents took it seriously and asked for help from a doctor thinking it was merely nightmares or sleep deprivation perhaps resulting in hallucinations or just sleep talk. Nothing was found wrong with me so my parents sought for advise from a priest and my religious grandmother.

It was figured that my regular ghostly visits had apparently been from those of a known Catholic Saint (who’s name I don’t remember or personally heard of because I am Orthodox) who is a guardian (angel) of small children.

I started having other encounters during the daytime and found myself breaking away from laughter or family interaction and staring in corners of the house and began focusing and laughing and telling my mum that “the man” was showing me a “horsey” that was moving like a rocking horse.

He must have been a friendly spirit with good intentions as he began to amuse me. Soon I had less encounters and as I grew older this “entity” detached itself from me. I have lived in one house all my life (18years) and both before and after my birth both my parents have experienced encounters and messages from entities both unknown and deceased family members within their house which had been blessed by a priest, sometimes even at the same time yet they could not see or hear the entity that befriended me as a small child. I don’t feel any presences in my house nor do they so I don’t believe it is haunted in any way.
