OK, this is the absolute most malevolent occurrence I’ve ever experienced. I have been witness to literally hundreds of paranormal events in my life. No I’m not talking about things being misplaced or I could have sworn I left such and such on that table. Things that fly across the room. Absolutely zero interpretation need be applied. When they are active they make believers real fast out of people who swear the contrary.
Get ready, just the story alone here still creeps me out. And I was there. Keep in mind that the majority of my experiences were basically benevolent. Not this one.
We have a farm in Palestine, Texas. I was sleeping in the bed with my current wife. When all of a sudden I was awakened and I could swear there was someone standing at the foot of the bed. I was groggy and thought my eyes weren’t focusing right but the truth it it was a shadowy figure and had no definite outline. Then in a fraction of a second, just like a movie or something when they make the thing instantly get closer to the person it was on my chest. I realized I couldn’t move and had some difficulty even breathing. Now I know this sounds fantastic but I swear I saw what appeared to be something white in the face. It was as if it could have had the appearance of a grim reaper. I kid you not!
The thing then started swooping down at my face and neck. I really couldn’t figure out what it was doing. It wasn’t hurting me and I couldn’t tell if it was mimicking three kisses on my cheek or acting like it was trying to bite me. Still don’t really know but it inflicted no harm to me.
It was at this point I lost all fear of it and I told it to show itself to my sleeping wife. It stopped and I could swear it had the appearance of being confused. Then bam! It was gone.
The next morning I asked my wife if she had a weird dreams. She freaked out and told me of the shadowy figure that paralyzed her in her sleep. She was really angry with me when I told her that I had told it to show itself to her. Here’s the really creepy part. It just appeared to me but she said she heard Lucy our dog walking down the hallway on the wood floor. She’s a big ole Rot and quite heavy. It then nuzzled her hand and she pet it on the head. Then the shadow thing pooped up and did it’s thing to her. The creepy thing is that Lucy, the real dog, was outside in the barn all night. She’s not allowed in the farm house!
So what the heck was that my wife petted and had paws?
