Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

For the first time ever I have had a bed shaking experience. I have always been very open minded to anything paranormal or spiritual but never have seen a ghost or felt anything like last night. As a child, I often felt a presence (and believed it was my twin sister who died as an infant). I never ‘saw’ her though.

Last night, I napped for about two hours in the evening, my boyfriend then got up for a night shift at 10:15 pm. I woke up and stayed awake for about an hour then went back to bed. As I was almost asleep I felt suddenly disoriented, I thought I had fallen asleep on the couch but I was in bed. Again, a few seconds later I had to actually open my eyes to confirm where I was, in bed and not on the couch downstairs.

Now, I don’t how long/soon after the next thing happened. I felt my bed sway at first, as I became aware of this, I felt a strong fast shaking of the bed a few times and it stopped. I was paralyzed, body did not want to move.

I am sure I then opened my eyes and looked right away at the bedroom door. It was like someone was peaking in at me from the hallway outside.The door just open a crack (which was weird because I am sure I left it wide open). It was a figure, like a shadow. I looked again and even a third time before I sat up – then it was gone. I was petrified at the time because I was so sure someone was watching me, and I really felt that shake. We had a minor earthquake here the day before so I thought it was that right away, but no, no earthquakes in Mississauga, Ontario then at all.

One thing, a friend of mine passed away from AIDS, exactly three weeks ago. I could not attend his funeral and I thought of him right away when I woke up in the morning.  Hmmmm… what the heck happened here? I have been reading and thinking about astral travel lately, I wonder if it is the start of an OBE or a spirit, or perhaps just a weird sleep! Any input would be wonderful… thanks, Lana.
