Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

This is my first paranormal experience when I was 9. There is a house near where we live very big and old. Everybody calls it a haunted house.

My friend and I always wanted to see ghosts so we decided to go there. The main gate is always locked so we made an excuse and went to the roof of the house next door to the haunted house. When we reached the top we saw that the door of the roof of the haunted house was open.

We went in and saw that the house had spider webs and an inch of dust everywhere. But on the floor there were footprints. We were small and got scared but decided to go on. As we reached the stairs (the haunted house had 3 floors) that looked over to the ground floor and all the stairs we saw a small girl (smaller than us) on the stairs that joined the ground floor and the 1st floor. With her was a hooded figure who didn’t have arms or legs or a face and the hood was covered in the air.

The hooded body was invisible and we could only see the clothes. Then suddenly they both disappeared. And just as suddenly, appeared in front of us. They stood there for a second and disappeared and didn’t come back. We both shouted loudly and ran for our lives. When we were back on the road still running we glanced back and saw the little girl staring out of the window. As we were small, we were very scared. We never even went near the house again.

Who Was It?

I am not the one who easily gets scared but……….

It was summer and for the holidays we decided to rent a rambling old house at the edge of a cliff that looks over to the sea. The house was great though there were stories about it. Obviously, we didn’t believe them… One night we were sitting and watching a movie when I decided to get some water. I went to the kitchen and drank a glass of water. From the kitchen a passage leads to the non-seaward side for about 12 feet then is stopped by a stout door which is always locked. Well, as I turned to go back I saw some drops of blood near the passage. Thinking nothing of it I turned to go. but I could sense something wrong! I took out a torch and flashed it towards the door! My torch picked out a horrified face behind the open stout door! The stout door swung shout with a bang!

As slowly as I could, I walked towards the door and pulled at its handle.Locked… truly locked. After this incident few incidents started to happen… I noticed that they happened around the kitchen. When I would sit I would feel a hand on my cheek or someone breathing. I even saw another face from the sea beach through the window. We left the house and I left the Mystery!

Strange Happenings

When I was young I used to move around a lot.

At about the age of 10 when we first moved into the old house.  My room was on the third floor. There were three floors in this house. My mother and younger sister had their rooms on the second floor.

One night while I was sitting in my room reading a book I thought I saw a shadow out of the corner of my eye. I shrugged it off. But through the balcony door (which is translucent) I saw a shadow walk. Thinking it was a burglar I quickly went to the door and found no one.

Every day I saw the shadow and went there… to find no one. Every day I waited for the shadow to come. Then one day I decided to make its video. Then when the time of the shadow to come came, about 11:30 every day, I heard a voice say I know you have a camera. And then I saw the shadow passing again. I videoed it and looked at the video I had made. It showed (through the door) a shadow passing. I put the camera into a drawer Meaning to show it to mom tomorrow. When I woke up in the morning, the camera was well and truly smashed into bits.

We had to leave the house after an year because there were some strange happenings going in the house like when my mom put the chair near the table and turned for a moment and turned back it would be there against the wall again… The clock would change its place itself. The sofas and bed were the same. I was and am glad that we left the house as, though I don’t get scared easily, but I didn’t like the feel of the house.
