Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

Up until two years ago I had no preference on whether or not ghosts, or spirits, or whatever were real. Before I start to tell my story I am going to make things a little more clear so things won’t be confusing. I am a teenager, with divorced parents. They have shared custody and I switch houses everyday.

At first nothing really happened at my Dad’s house. It was my Mom’s house that things were happening. The first thing was what I would like to call ‘the tiki incident’. My mom is really into tiki bars and stuff, so she bought this sign that said “Tiki Bar” on it, with a little tiki head separating the words. The sign was sitting on the counter, about a foot and a half away from the doorway. Well one day I am downstairs with my mom, my stepdad, and both the animals. Then we hear a loud thump. My stepdad rushed upstairs to see what it was. The tiki head separating the words was laying face down in the center of the doorway.

Now, understand I am very good in science, and I hit the wall in several places, there was no way that the tiki head could have fell the way it did, and even if something did hit the sign to knock the tiki head off, there would be two thumps. It is like something just dropped it in the center of the doorway. After this things happened, moved, the usual ghost stuff. During this time I dubbed the ghost ‘Sam’.

About a month later something else big happened. My step sister’s son was at the house, when he asked my mom if he could go play ‘with that little boy over there’. My mom said sure, and he went over to the spot he pointed at, and started throwing a ball at it. Then he stormed over to us all pissed off saying ‘that little boy wont play with me!’ That was really scary. We never told him about our house being haunted.

About a week later I went shopping with my friends, and we bought a Ouija Board. We used the board, and found out that Sam was a five year old. He said that his dad slit his throat. You know what the really weird thing is? He said his name was actually Sam. My mom says that I probably have some connection with him, one I don’t really understand.

Before we realized our house was actually haunted my mom fell down the stairs, and she says she felt like she was pushed. She says the more she thinks about it the more she feels like someone was trying to catch her. Sam is being more outgoing now. I feel him whenever I am in the house, and I see a shadow some times, and I know it is him, even though I have never physically seen him. I do not think that Sam is trying to hurt us at all, it is just strange. And I want to know what ‘connection’ I have with him. Any ideas
