Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I’ve had very little experience with the Ghost in this story, when I say little I’m referring to the consequences of visiting the ghost. The Ghost is also believed to be a demon as it was apparently heard dancing to “The Soldiers Song” but apparently sounded like the tapping of hooves tapping instead of shoes. The Ghost resides in a small Cottage. The area around the house is even strange as all the trees are distorted and seem to grow in random directions rather the towards the sun. There is also a lot of strange writing on the walls inside the house and a lot of deserted items from people who had visited the house. The cottage has been shown on television in Northern Ireland and the trailer can be seen here.

The shortest way I can think of describing the story is that a Widow and her children moved to the small house, strange things happened in the house, as the ghost tortured the family. Due the events the people in the house were accused of studying witchcraft and were considered outcasts.

The family asked multiple priests to try and preform an exorcism on the house. The priests reported that the bed sheets on the bed would move up and down as if someone was breathing underneath and that pots and pans would fly across the room. The priests died strange deaths within a year of visiting the Coneen house.

The family was then forced out of their home by their neighbours due to their suspicion of them. The family took a boat to America but were even haunted by the ghost in their cabin and continued to haunt them in their home in America for years.

With my own experience is a result of my sister and boyfriend visiting the Coneen house, they were planning on camping there with their friends but returned to our house quickly (as it only about a few miles from the Coneen house). A few hours after they returned home a few strange things began happening, taps turning on and off by themselves, random power cuts. Soon we heard an occasional grunting sound, and doors began opening themselves as well as electrical equipment turning themselves on and off. The haunting peaked when we went upstairs and found my sisters room a mess with a doll which she had from when she was young ripped cleanly in half lying on her bed. The haunting subsided and eventually stopped. (This happened over the months of June-July).

The local council had a meeting about the house as they wanted to destroy and use the site, but were by the clergy to stop as the result won’t end well.

I do plan on visiting the house myself and bring a camera with me. When I do I will post the pictures on this site.
