The College for Creative Studies is an art school in Detroit, Michigan. The school and the dormitory, known as the Art Center Building (ACB) was purchased in 1906. There have always been rumors about the dorms being haunted, as the building was originally a hotel and is over one hundred years old.
Rumor has it that when the building was a hotel there was a family from Queens, New York staying in room 204. The family consisted of five members. The daughter was the oldest, fifteen, accompanied by two younger brothers who were five and 18 months old. They were supposedly staying in Detroit because the daughter was to meet her future husband. It was an arranged marriage.
Apparently, on the night of their stay, the girl was so upset over the arranged marriage that she locked herself in the closet and hung herself. Later that night, her parents were woken up by the sound of their 18-month-old son crying and realized their daughter was not in her bed. They searched everywhere until she was found in the closet.
To this day there are reports of random banging on doors, strange sounds of a baby crying, lights flickering and even shadows throughout the rooms. It is rumored that her ghost has been seen in room 704 and sometimes inhabits other rooms.
