Ghost Stories & Paranormal Encounters

I had tinkered around with my Ouija board getting no response. It didn’t spell out anything to me at all. Believing the board was merely a novelty item I put it away and didn’t use it again.

A few weeks later I was sitting on the living room couch watching TV, something caught my attention from the corner of my left eye. When I turned my head I saw a small Shadowy girl standing in my hallway. She had long dark hair that hid her facial features, she appeared to be about ten years old and was wearing pajama pants and a top. She stood watching me for a while then walked into the hallway bathroom. I wasn’t startled at first because I thought she was my step daughter, who was ten years old at the time. I called her name but no one answered. Since I didn’t see the girl walk back out of the bathroom, and since the bathroom light never turned on I decided to check it out. To my surprise the bathroom was empty. My step daughter was in her room sleeping.

Later that night I spoke of this “Shadow Girl” and kind of creeped everyone out. My ex girlfriend was slightly skeptical but they believed what I said by the look of sincerity on my face. They told me I looked as if I had just seen a ghost. Soon the Shadow Girl had become the talk of the evenings with family and friends. People wanted to see her so bad even though they were scared. I wasn’t so enthusiastic about seeing her again because I didn’t really know who or what she was. Was she a good spirit or bad? I didn’t know.

My mom had seen a black orb about the size of a baseball zipping down the hallway. She was the only one who witnessed the small black orb.

A couple of months later, June 16th 2005 I had the uncanny sense that something was wrong somewhere with someone. It was a little past ten p.m. when she appeared in the hallway again, this time she did scare me. After realizing what I was seeing was a ghost I gathered my courage and said, “Hello.” The girl didn’t answer, she seemed to be frightened as well. She disappeared into the bathroom again, when I checked for her she was gone.

I still had a horrible gut feeling something was really wrong and I remained restless in the living room I couldn’t go to bed. It was almost midnight when I decided to try to go to bed. I shut off the living room TV, walked down the hall and entered my bedroom. As I was about to lay down on my bed I went to flick the light switch off. Just as I started to flick the light off the Shadow Girl appeared right in front of me, looking up at me. I could see her much better now but the light switch was already in the downward motion and the lights went off. Scared I flung myself backwards onto my bed and covered myself up to my neck with the sheets. I don’t know how I managed to fall asleep that night, but I did.

The next morning my dad called and told me that my brother had been killed. He passed away around 1:00 a.m. that morning due to complications from a police taser. A strange sensation had passed through me because I knew something was terribly wrong somewhere. I never would have guessed that my brother would be killed. I never saw The Shadow Girl again, I think she was trying to warn me about my brother.
