The two story house was built in the late 1800s by my grandfathers grandfather. He lived there with his wife and seven kids who lived to have families of their own but they had five or six kids die between 1 day to 12 years old. When my grandfathers aunt died 18 years ago he got the house and already took care of a farm and cows. But my grandfather got sick so my dad and mom went there to take care of the cows and clean it up some and stayed two nights.
They heard foot steps walking up and down the stairs most of the night. My mom said something rubbed her leg and called her names, she turned over and he dad was facing the other way asleep. Sometime during the night my dad rolled over and not long after that heard breathing right behind him and he up and got his gun and went back to bed. That morning they talked about it and my mom told him the gun wouldn’t do any good. They stayed there a couple more times and took us but the TV, radio, and fan on so me 14, my sister 10, and my brother 9 would get scared.
I am a big chicken so every time we had to go there I called my dads aunt and stayed there. One of those times about 8 am my mom was laying in bed with her eyes shut and heard a kid running down the wall out the screen door which is very very loud. She opened her eyes and saw a kid get up off the porch swing. She got up to go talk to my dad, she thought it was my brother and his friend but no one was there.
I just found out three weeks ago my sister was there asleep and the door slamming woke her up and she saw a kid get up off the swing too. Mom called my dad and he had the boys and left the farm at 7 am to go take cows to the sale.
Another time my dad took a few people to help with cows they stayed the night but someone had to sleep up stairs. My uncle said would nothing bothers him the next morning he said someone didn’t want him in their bed it felt like someone was under the bed pushing it up and down on the bed all night.
At a family reunion in 2008 my mom was talking to my grandfather first cousins wife who married into the family over 60 years ago she told my mom the foot steps used to scare her when they first married into the family.
No one has stayed over night in at least 10 years.

Hi sorry it took me so long to reply. let me explain the reason all this is coming back up is we hunt and we going to another hunting club 8 miles from the house. we stand in campers but my dad and husband want to stay in the house. Now Im 32 not 15 and doing research and find out about 10 days after posting the story that last summer at a family reunion they were talking about the stuff in the first story and my grandpas cousin said since he herd this he would tell us what he know he do not want people to think he was crazy. the road from the house is about 150 yards away their were men working by the road and said and old woman came out of the house and stood on the porch and watched them for a couple of minute and went by in house they do not think anyone lived there so they told him. She was wear a black long dress and black shall on her head. my dads cousin goes there 1 day a wk. to check on the cows he goes in another way you can not see the house good. my dad told him this about 6 mth. ago he told my dad hes seen her early one morning it was foggy he stopped in the middle field and call the cows up and the first field same clothes holding a mashedy and floating he got in the truck and she was gone. We think she was going to clean the graves up. Her and family are about 25 graves.
That sounds very creepy!!! I dont think i would want to spend the night either!!! knowtomuch
Alright already! It is HIGH time to CLEANSE that house and property before someone gets hurt! Get out the sage smudge sticks and hit every single nook and cranny including the porches and basement…..a family farm should be enjoyed by the living not scared by the dead… family or not….let us all know if that helps and if you do this or not- best of luck!
