The True Story Behind The Raynham Ghost Picture

December 10, 2007

Ghost Picture - Raynham Ma.Have you ever seen this famous ghost picture? This is known as the Raynham, Massachusetts Ghost and was taken in Massachusetts. The person in the picture is William Eburn, the photo was shot by his brother-in-law. Naturally, they did not notice anything strange until after they saw the picture.

Recently William contacted me and offered to provide us with a story about the picture. I was very glad to get his message and could hardly wait to read the story behind this ghost picture from the actual person involved.

Now we have William’s story about the Raynham, Massachusetts Ghost Picture here on True Ghost Tales. You will see bigger versions of this ghost picture in the story. I have to say that this story will be one the most popular stories on the site.

Read about what was happening in his life and the circumstances behind this picture. William became interested in a paranormal technique known as Scrying. Scrying is also called Crystal Gazing and it is a magical practice which allows a person to see things supernaturally. Most often Scrying is used to see into the future.

Soon after William began experimenting with Crystal Gazing he started hearing voices. Very often, the voices would warn him sternly to stop using the crystals, but he continued, for years. In the end however, he came out on top. William was able to rid himself of the voices and send the spirits, or ghosts, away.

Anyway, I have probably already told too much of the story. This is a really cool story, be sure to come here and post a comment.

I think it is really cool that this guy offered to write up his own story behind this ghost picture.

I’m really not sure what that it is in the photo, but it does look like some sort of entity. It looks like a ghost is wrapped up in the curtain and looking directly at the photographer.

This story should be a remider to everyone to be very careful about what you get involved with. Sometimes playing around with the paranormal world can get us into trouble.

I believe that if William hadn’t freed himself from the spirits and ended his relationship with them that eventually something very bad would have happened in his life.

Interesting story. I’m glad you stop using that crystal. I guess anything you wish or ask for, it will come true. I know because my mother she is one of those superstitious persons.

I’d be interested in hearing William’s thoughts on the Bridgewater Triangle, and its possible connection with what he encountered.

Hello Ashley, WOW! That would be interesting wouldnt it? I just did a little checking and as far as I can tell Raynham Mass is more or less dead center in the so-called Bridgewater Triangle.

I will contact William to see what he thinks.

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to look at both my picture and my story. I love the way this website has turned out and would like to thank the creator for helping to make my picture more famous than it already was :)

Anyway, to get to your question, despite living in Raynham for the first 20 years of my life, I hadn’t heard most of these stories… I even grew up close to the Hockomock Swamp.

After reading the description on this site, http://members.aol.com/soccorro64/btriangle.htm and the wikipedia entry on the “Bridgewater Triangle” I was reminded of a few ghost stories I heard as a kid, namely the ghost hitchiker is a HUGE one, and I even went out looking for him one time with a few friends… no luck sadly.

One thing worth mentioning, although I’ve had more experiences with ghosts, spirits, and other paranormal activities surrounding spiritual entities, I’ve somewhat lost my abilities due to either lack of use, or some other factor that I’m not considering…

One other thing worth mentioning, since the Bridgewater Triangle talks a lot about UFO’s. I can’t remember if I mentioned this in the story above — close to the night where I saw the orange and green lights move across my crystal, I also saw a green light resembling the one in my crystal move across the actual sky… perhaps just another UFO? I just passed it off as some residual thing from my scrying… either way, the more I think about it, the more I wish I had gotten it on video :)

Hope that answers your question, and I’ll happily respond to any more comments posted for me here… just give me a few days to respond lol.

I believe in the paranormal, without a doubt. But your story is completly ridiclous, it sounded like a low budget film, come on man, go outside and get some fresh air.

Holy-Look, I don’t know WHAT the guy in the cloak’s deal is, but what ever made you throw the crystal away was doing the right thing. I fit could make you sick and loose your girlfriend, who knows what else it could have done to you? That’s why humans stick with humans, angels with angels, and demons with demons. As we can see, things can get pretty nasty when those mix.

This young man’s experience is very good example of how crucual learning to clear one’s energy and shield oneself is, before embarking on any metaphysical activities.

IT’S A WISE THING YOU THREW THE CRYSTALS AWAY! I THINK I WOULD GO TO THE POND AND PRAY EVERYDAY THAT GOD KEEP IT WHERE IT IS AND HOPE FOR THE BEST

I believe in the paranormal. I have had some things happen to me and my mom, but only once was it scary. Mostly it was special. I’m glad you threw the crystal, that was probaly one of the better decisions you have, and will, make.
    Be carefull in the future.

    Hello again all,

I wanted to just clarify that this story was written shortly after the picture was taken, so my writing skills were … not well honed… at best :) So yes, although it does sound like “A low budget film” perhaps my verbage wasn’t quite up to par. Either way, thank you all for continuing to read my story and I’m glad you all enjoy it.

I’d love to post more stories, but I rarely think of it when I am at home…. perhaps I’ll do it tonight ;)

    Bill
