I am 18 now but I was 6 then and I remember it as if it was yesterday.
When I was little I lived in a small town called Livingston, the middle of no where Texas. Of course being at a young age I was scared of the dark, so I slept in my older sisters room with my older sister Trisha. I remember looking at the alarm clock after being awoken by a cold brush of wind on my face. It was 3:15… I stared at the clock for a very long time and for some reason it stood still as if time had been frozen. All of the sudden I heard pots and pans scrambling in the kitchen… not loud but loud enough to hear it from the room I was in. So me being the investigator that I was got up out of the bed and ran behind the couch in the living room. I sat staring into the kitchen, when I felt a hand on my shoulder… I looked back and caught myself from screaming when I realized it was my sister. She said she heard it too.
We both agreed to count to three then run to our parents room. 1. 2. 3. Then off we went faster than the freaking road runner all the way there. We woke up our dad and him being the man of the house he scurried out with a shotgun. My sister waited in the room with my mom, but me being the investigator that I was fallowed my dad. He searched the kitchen… searched the living room… bathrooms and stuff… then headed for the front door. I followed him outside.
Our house was built by my grandpa and had a huge deck that wrapped almost around the whole house, and by the front door were four stairs going down to a long narrow deck that led to the drive way. Anyway, my dad didn’t see anything and walked into the house not realizing I had went outside too. The door shut and I stared into the pitch black yard towards the driveway. I saw something inching and the closer it got the further back I moved… scared, terrified to even think to turn around and go for the door.
To this day I have no idea what I saw but it was my height… remember I was 6… with a head that was as big as a basketball… its eyes were red and its smile was ear to ear… a creepy smile… slowly moving itself up the deck… I couldn’t breath. I felt like the air had been sucked right out of me. It was a boney grayish creature, not normal at all. Finally I found it in me to turn around and banged on the door. Trisha opened it and I embraced her with the biggest hug. I felt instant relief as we closed the door I looked back out and it was gone.
This is a true story and I’ve seen this thing once after that when I was 8 but it was brief. I never seen it again after that. I described it the best I could and if any readers can help me figure out what it was or is… or have any information on who I could contact for help… please please feel free to share.

WOW! What a story… I don’t have any answers sorry! It could of been a alien??? or some kind of mythical creature???
You were too scared of the dark to sleep alone, yet in the middle of the night when you hear noises you go investigate by yourself? Nice try but right there you proved your story unbelievable.

To be fair – she was 6. The actions and logic of 6 year olds doesn’t have to make sense, lol.

well wen u saw it at 8 years old were u still living in the same house? and do u still live in the same house? tthe reason for these questions is beccause i think its a demon because what u described certtaintly wasnt a human entity. But then again its a little bit ricky because u only saw it 2 times in your life and demons fallow u wherever you go, but demons come periodicly so i do think a demon is atached to u. I suggest u research more on whats happening. Hope this information was helpful, thanks for the story and say safe!

I have to kind of agree with Beast Man. I know that nothing in the world would have gotten me outside, I’d have been curled up tight next to my mom and sister, especially at age 6. I might have had more courage at, say, 16 or so – but generally children of 6 years old are looking to be comforted. That being said, however, everyone handles things differently.
MAYBE she just wanted to PROVE to her dad that something was making noise; that they really did hear and see what they said they did- daddy’s approval is very important to a little girl… could I have gone outside at night at 6- yeah WITH my Dad and his shotgun- but I wouldn’t have left his side…. that THING is so freaking creepy I would have passed out no doubt! You are SOOOO lucky your sister got that door open and you got inside! S C A R Y
Replying to the comment Beast Man made being scared sometimes makes you do stupid things or maybe the adrenaline rushing through you makes you less aware of your terror! I am scared to sleep by myself but when my husband was away over night visiting his aunt I heard a noise in my back yard late at night. I was very scared but I had to see what it was. It could have been a armed man waiting to harm me! but it was just the gate banging in the wind. so being scared doesn’t always mean you can’t function or investigate. So i do believe this story! We were not there only she was!

I would think that she thinks that she is safe if her dad is with her. She could have been extremely scared, but come on. Who wouldn’t follow their dad who was always their protector?? I think it was a great story and scary!!

Judging from the deck incident, it’s very liable to be a demon.
Now I’m only 12, but I love to investigate ghosts.
I’m terrified of the dark, seeing this thing would give me a heart attack…
But this is a bery liable demon…You should keep watch……
If you move out of your house…
Keep watch for it.
If you move, and see it again at your new house, or if you go out on your own these r wat’s going on-
You move into your own house, with no one else and you see it-It’s targeting you.
Your entire family moves and you see it-Soemone in your family is being targeted.
Research the ground your house was built on…
And your familys history.
Its not hard to agree with me when my comment makes perfect sense. There’s no getting around it, what I pointed out shoots holes all thru this story. …..Because all 3rd graders are experts on the paranormal
I don’t know. Seeing something briefly when I was six……in the dark…..when you were already in a spooked state of mind. what did the other sighting when you were 8 entail? Off that brief description, I doubt that I would be diagnosing your sighting as demon or what. and whom do you want to contact for help at this late period of time? It says that “when you was little”, so I take it that you no longer live there. do you know of the family that does live there now and if they have witnessed anything of interest?
