Not a Figment of My Imagination

Posted on August 18, 2009

My (para)Normal Life

I have had so many paranormal experiences in my lifetime it has become a normal routine for me, hence “My (para)Normal Life.”

My first experience with the paranormal was at my grandparent’s house. I was very close with them so from the age of 6 years old I would spend just about every other weekend with them. It seemed that only when I was there I had an imaginary friend named Debbie. There were many children my age that lived on their street, even a schoolmate of mine so my family could not understand why I would create a friend.

Debbie was not a figment of my imagination. Debbie was older than me, she was a pretty girl with blonde hair. I liked her, she let me pick the games but would get angry if I would ignore her. I still remember a time that I had brought my friend Deanna to spend the weekend with me at my grandparent’s house. I brought Deanna to my room and immediately saw Debbie standing in the corner.

Later in the night we were getting ready for bed and Deanna went into the bathroom and left me alone in the room. We each had a glass of water on the night stand, I saw a flash of light and the next thing I knew both water glasses were on the floor and water was all over the rug. My Nonnie asked how it happened and I told her I didn’t know. I was across the room when it happened. We got over the ordeal and went to bed.

In the middle of the night I woke up to Deanna shaking me and asking me who was talking. At first I didn’t hear anything but then I heard a faint voice coming from down the hallway.  We were both too scared to get out of bed so I called for my Nonnie. We told her what happened and she said we were dreaming and to go back to sleep.  We knew better, we knew it was Debbie, and she was not happy that Deanna was there. I had seen Debbie numerous times after that but never really wanted to bring any of my friends there.

When I got older I overheard my Nonnie telling my Mom a story about a man who would comfort her when she would get upset.  Apparently Debbie was not the only spirit in their house.

This is only one of many paranormal stories I have in my life, as I have said this is just what I now consider to be normal.

You are sensitive to the other side.. I think it is good that the other spirit comforted your grandmother as well. Personally I think spirits are all around us and only some of us are opwn enough to see them or feel them…

I …was …..honored to be tapped on the shoulder……by Jim Morrison……at age 1/ 1/2 …..right when he was at his HEIGHT……of being a legendary Rock Star, Poet, and legendary song writer…..my parents even had to make a plate and everything, as I announced that Jim Morrison……would be our guest for dinner……my parents were stunned…..I never had any exposure to Jim Morrison ……at all…….however I know …….he is my soul twin……he is…I still see him now and again, in my deep prayer and buddhist meditation…

Denice did you see that ghost pic of Jim? There is a picture of his grave, the guy who took it wasn’t trying for ghosts of anything, just a day in Paris, and he waited years before even publishing it, but if you look in the background, it looks like The Lizard King himself.
