Book Review
I am reading a very interesting book about a woman, who through lucid dreaming, makes contact with the spirits of the dead who need help and guidance to go on to the ‘other side’. I have done extensive research with lucid dreams and found the book to be fascinating enough because the author talks about them but when I realized that she actually made contact with “ghosts” and helped to guide them I was hooked.
Imagine being able to help those who cannot accept their fate or find their way on to the next “level”!
“Monica’s life purpose on earth is to assist souls to move to the other side during a traumatic death. Her ability to reach into the world of spirit and work with the souls there puts her in a league with Stuart Wilde, Sylvia Browne, John Edward, and Rosemary Altea.” ~ Carolyn Long, Psychotherapist
Here is the official press release:
By day, Monica Holy’s life looks like millions of others. She paints, jogs, talks to friends, and worries about her children. Monica’s nightlife is a different story.
Since birth, she has entered extraordinary worlds of consciousness through the portal of lucid dreams. While there, she conducts souls to the other side and to the light, teaches, guides, and heals. She enters those non-ordinary realities not just to explore them, but to work on behalf of the human community.
In Fringe Dweller on the Nightshift, she eloquently recounts her psychic and spiritual work with the troubled dead, the newly dead or those about to die – especially children – to provide emergency relief. She also brings back messages from the world beyond this one, by offering each and every one of us inspiration and ideas for honoring our feelings and connecting to the divine expression of all that is. Ultimately, we will all see The Grid (chapter 10): the invisible reality beyond our five senses that underlies all physical form as we know it.
Monica Holy’s work is in the spirit and tradition of native, shamanistic travelers (a la Don Juan in Castaneda), spiritual mediums (John Edward and James Van Praagh), spiritual guidance from other realms (Shirley McLaine), and what the Akashic realm looks and feels like (Deepak Copra).
Fringe Dweller on the Nightshift combines cosmic adventure with down-to-earth practical information – part art, part memoir, part philosophy, part guidance, this book is a work of the heart.
Monica Holy is an artist, psychic medium, spirit guide, and mother of two. She has worked in animation, photography, and typography for film and television. For most of her life, she has kept her psychic and spiritual life a secret. She feels the time is right to share her story in hopes that it will help others understand their own journey through life. This is her first book.
“Not only is Monica Holy an excellent writer, but I was immediately captured by her personal introduction into her fascinating, but often lonely, life. I was enthralled by her insight into the spirit world, her philosophy of life and God, and her delightful sense of humor. The exhilarating discovery of ‘the knowing,’ ‘the healing equation,’ and ‘ethereal bodies’ in Fringe Dweller are concepts that will bring the guidance, inspiration, and hope always.” ~ Deena Budd, Paranormal Editor at BellaOnline

Wow! Very interesting! I am always open to what lies ‘beyond’ death……I am going to buy that book. I’ll let you know how I like it..
I am only about half way through it right now. I have to say that she really is a good writer and has a cool way of explaining what is going on.
hello…
I am the author of the book Fringe Dweller…
It is a huge compliment to hear you say you are ‘hooked’…and that how i explain things makes sense, thank you.
It’s my intention to encourage other Fringe Dwellers to share their stories…I know I’m not the only one…I’ve seen them on the Night Shift in my dreams.
It’s very exciting to see open dialogue starting up in a variety of places…it just goes to show you when you embrace your ‘freakdom’, share your experiences…you sometimes find you’re not so different.
I would like to add that in addition to ‘escorting’ spirits to the light I first became aware that my ‘nightlife’ was more than just a run of the mill ‘emotional’ dream when the people, places and events I witnessed in my dreams were the same people, places and events that I spotted in the news. To that end I became aware that what I do while in my ethereal state is interacting with ‘the real world’ too.
Happy astral travels in your own ‘lucid dreams’.
Monica Holy (aka the Fringe Dweller)
